My husband and I spent 7 days at Cocoa Cottages and had an amazing experience. We stayed in the largest room on the second floor which was very specious and comfortable. It had a great balcony and beautiful view of the rain forest. There is a stylish shared living room that we used for playing cards.|The staff was terrific and took great care of us. Shanista (sp) was a fantastic cook and housekeeper. Her husband (guide) drove us all over and showed us the sights. We rented a car for one day, freaked out and turned it in...being on vacation, we didn't need the stress. The other ladies/chefs were excellent. Dwayne, the gardener, changed a flat tire for us on our rental car!|We were up in the mountains so experienced some rain but it never interfered with our plans. We have fond memories of our stay and would highly recommend the cottages.

Hosts and staff were fantastic. Very good communications. Cottages are close to many of Dominicas best hikes and sites. Site is also very tranquil if you are on a down day. Loved the fact they offer meals onsite. It was a lot of fun to eat with others from all over the world and have a beer at the end of the day.

The grounds are cute, but the location and staff are what make Cocoa Cottage outstanding. This was an ideal base for our first visit to Dominica if you've rented a car. Easy drives to multiple locations of interest and quick access to Roseau, plus a short walk to the Extreme Dominica office (hint: when driving, you can follow the white signs on the road to Extreme Dominica and they'll lead you to Cocoa Cottage). They offer breakfast and dinner for an additional fee, and will accommodate vegetarians without any issues.

We were supposed to go to Cocoa Cottage but our ferry was cancelled last minute. The cancellation fee on booking.com was the total amount of the price, but the owners were kind enough to waive the fee so we didn’t pay anything. They didn’t have to do that and we look forward to going there next time !

What a great spot!||CC is located in the cool green hills of Dominica's interior. The property is surrounded by jungle and you'll fall asleep to the sounds of the forest.||We had a room upstairs in the main building. Nice little balcony. It's should be noted that the bathroom is not a separate room, so you should be well acquainted with your travel partner. Another bathroom located downstairs.||Local staff and German owner were friendly and helpful. A good breakfast is provided. Dinner also available upon request. There are a few other places to eat nearby. The only one easily reachable on foot is run by a Haitian family just down the road (simple roadside bar/eatery - order dinner in advance). ||Don't think about coming up here without a car. They'd be way too much walking along roads in the sun to reach the attractions.||I would heartily recommend CC to anyone looking for an atmospheric tropical forest experience. This place (along with Dominica in general) was definitely one of the top highlights of my extensive travels in the Caribbean.

My husband and I really enjoyed Cocoa Cottages. We stayed in the Honeymoon Suite for 3 nights, and it was a great location to enjoy hiking in the Morne Trois Piton National Park, hot springs, and Roseau. We had dinner two nights and breakfast two mornings at Cocoa Cottages. The meals were delicious, their outdoor dining area is lovely, and it’s so convenient. An added bonus is that we were eating with other guests, so we made new friends, got great advice about traveling around the island and places to see, and could even arrange group outings. The setting is all rainforest, with sounds of birds, frogs, insects, and rain as your companions. The honeymoon suite windows do not close, so we were lulled to sleep by the night sounds, but it may not be a good choice if you need silence to sleep. The owners and staff were so kind and helpful. Highly recommend!

My wife and I got to stay at Cocoa Cottages over a week last year. We loved the home cooked breakfasts and the personal touches of the staff, as well as recommendations for sightseeing around the island. We loved it so much we stayed an extra three days!

What a truly marvellous experience! I was really looking to experience Dominica, not just stay there and Cocoa Cottages made this trip that bit extra. Nestled in the high forested valleys of Roseau, it made were we stay part of the adventure rather than just somewhere to stay between treks. We were staying literally in the forest canopy and with no walls you could lean out and pull a banana off a tree. ||This isn't for everyone, it's not quiet with the frog chorus in full swing, but it was really a trip highlight for us. Bugs weren't a problem, but we had full mosquito nets just in case, which made the beds even more cosy. In fact, I wasn't expecting the treehouse to be so well dressed, but it was well furnished and very comfortable, especially the bed which was great. In spite of the rustic setting we had a lovely warm shower and high speed internet. The kitchen was basic (no hot tap and a simple camping stove) but with the hotel hub for fabulous breakfast and dinner, we didn't really need it. My family included a nine year daughter, who didn't mind the wild setting at all, and really enjoyed herself.||Staff were very friendly, owners wonderful hosts and meeting other guests for dinner conversation was a lovely addition. Also, being in the Roseau valley made it the perfrect position from which to explore Dominica. We came for the jungle experience and got it! Highly recommended.
