This is a private island owned by Royal Caribbean and it's a stop that is offered on a lot of their cruises. It is best to get off the boat early so you can get first choice of seats and chairs in the various free areas.
Most things on the island to enjoy cost extra money. From a pool noodle or float, the zip line, the water park, etc...just about everything will cost money and none of its cheap. They offer a few excursions on the island as well.
With that said, you can enjoy most of the beautiful beaches and sand areas free along with the largest freshwater pool in the Caribbean, located in the middle of the island. Several play areas for the little kids as well were also free so that was nice. Some volleyball and other outdoor game gear was scattered around and free to use. Also, all the food and regular drinks like water, lemonade, punch is free as well and the food was very good actually.
The island is smaller than it looks, you can easily explore and walk from one end to another in less than an hour. When our ship the Wonder stopped there, I figure at least 4k of the 5k people got off there and it was somewhat crowded but not too bad.
All in all, it made for a great beach day to kick back and relax, soak up some rays and enjoy the day at the beach. You don't have to spend a dime to enjoy it and you didn't have to drive there, find a place to park, nor cook or even clean up, and it was only a short walk back to the pier to get back on the ship whenever you have had enough. Would definitely go back again on the next trip.
