It’s a private island in the Bahamas that Royal Caribbean purchased many years ago and completely built up. The beach is incredibly white, and the water is crystal clear — you can even see fish swimming right by the shore without snorkeling. I recommend going into the water near the Coco Beach Club area.
The island is not very big — you can walk around the whole thing in about 30–40 minutes. There are free food stations on the island serving a Mexican-style buffet, which is actually pretty good! You can make your own tacos, and the BBQ chicken is super tender. There are also lots of fruits, ice cream, and desserts available along the way.
We spent time at different beaches, and there are lots of activities like basketball, pickleball, chess, and other beach games. There’s also a water park, but it’s paid and honestly not as fun as the waterslides on the cruise ship.
There’s a helium balloon ride where visitors can float up to 140 meters in the air for a 360° view of the stunning Bahamian islands. Coco Beach Club is a paid upgrade and offers the first overwater cabanas in the Bahamas — each one comes with loungers, a slide, a shower, and a dedicated attendant for a luxurious island experience.
