Coconut Beach Lodge

This is a review for the snorkeling tour to Pigeon Island organised from Coconut Beach. We did not stay in this hotel. We paid 51,000lkr for two adult and two children (5 and 7 yo). For this price, we had high expectations. We were very disappointed though. It was barely a "tour". All we got was a boat ride, entrance to the island and some terrible quality snorkeling gear. After being dropped off at the island, we got no instructions on where to go or what to do, so we just followed other tourists. Thanks to our own two snorkeling sets that we brought ourselves (!) and the tips from other tourists we did see a sea turtle and some sharks. Very bad experience.

One Of Worst Place in Trincomalee. Never Go any Sri Lankan. They Provide nothing for 5 star Hotel. This is not a Half star hotel also. Don’t expect from the pictures. Not Clean. Not worth For The money

We stayed in the family-room (nicest in the resort) and it was really nice! The room was rather large and clean. The new Aircon worked very well! Breakfast is available, but we always ate at a cafe on the beach. They arranged to wash our clothes. Boss and Staff were really friendly and helpful. Thanks Roy!

We were only in beach restaurant, nothing special Tomyum soup, discusting I can cook better one at home, grilled fish was ok. They have coconut in theyrs name but at the time they had none.

The service is abysmal. Portions are small, they forgot to put rice 1/3rd of the places despite being written in the menu, the chicken was RAW (unacceptable and dangerous!!!!) The final bill was wrong as well. The food overall was not that bad and the location is cool, but this is not worthy of a restaurant.

Not great to be honest… menu looked fairly limited so we decided just to have a drink. The guys didn’t know what was on and came back and asked for our order repeatedly. When we finally got served, turns out the didn’t have one of the four orders after all. Service was slow and painful and for half the time there was terrible and loud music, competing with the next door place. In fairness, once the music was turned off the location is idyllic!

It's a very wonderful place and I have peacefull experience from here Highly recommend 🩵🫶🏼🫶🏼
