Was reading reviews for a quick lunch/dinner before catching our flight back to Oahu. They did not disappoint. Fish nachos, BBQ sliders, and fish Tikis. Service was great. If you are ever in Helo, stop in here for some good food

Coconut Grill is a very nice restaurant near the water . Food is excellent. Our server was so sweet. She gave the best recommendation. The sizzling prime rib. Sooo good.

Delicious food and superb customer service! Scottlyn took great care of us—she was terrific. We ordered from the Happy Hour menu and enjoyed the Popcorn Shrimp, cocktails, and the Pulehu Prime. Everything was delicious, and the Pulehu Prime was served sizzling hot on a cast-iron skillet—perfection! One of our best meals in Hilo. We will be back! v/r, Dr. Ken and Lorna King

Supporting local all the way 🫶🏽🤙🏽 The good: The fish was so flavorful and light. Mashed potato was good and the tap water was not as harsh as it is on Oahu. The sad reality: A lot of businesses including this one, lacks a reasonable amount of employees. I was standing by the door for a good 10 minutes watching 3 servers run around attending to tables. I didn't mind the wait as I can recognize that they were working and also my privileged self would have liked to be acknowledged as I questioned my existence a couple of times and contemplated the possibility that I was at that moment invisible since I wasn't acknowledged for 10 minutes. I was only in town for a day, but I'd come back and give it another shot!

Attached to SCP Hotel, this long-established restaurant has delicious food and friendly service. John and Keola have always been so warm and give us tips for our best experiences. We especially enjoy Coconut Grill's varied eggs benedict and hash offerings, tender prime rib dishes and buttermilk flapjacks. The coconut banana pancakes topped with macadamia nuts, haupia and whipped cream are a must- either as a meal or to share a brunch time dessert. For being an indoor restaurant, dining is spacious and jalousie windows allow the East Hawaii breeze to permeate. One of the windows has tsunami flood lines recorded.

We had the seafood omelette and it was absolutely incredible. There were shrimps inside the egg along with cheese and spinach and mushrooms which made it perfect.

My family of six ate here, had an excellent waiter Scotty who was so kind to answer all our questions and give suggestions. The atmosphere has some history on the window with markers where previous tidal waves reached on one of the windows. Its location is awesome, right next to a local hang out at Reeds Bay Beach Park where you can see turtles and all kinds of water play. My husband and I actually went back a few days later in our trip to get dessert since we were so stuffed after dinner the first go. I ordered the chicken catsu and he ordered coconut shrimp, the had-to-have dessert was the Hawaiian trio: three flavors of fried ice cream! (Also their mud pies are brag-worthy as well). DELICIOUS! Would definitely recommend, go hungry.

Uncle Joe is the best! Great service. Great food. Great atmosphere. The BBQ chicken and fried ice cream are TDF!
