Coconut Grove Beachfront Resort

We popped in on our search for a very rare iguana rumoured to reside at Coconut Grove. What an absolutely gorgeous creature. We wish you all the best finding him a mate and helping to ensure that the species bounces back. We came to Fiji to see Fijian aquatic life and we leave Fiji with a new love of the Fijian reptile life. Wow. What amazing reptiles Fiji is home to. It was nice to see Coconut Grove Resort too. A beautiful spot with friendly staff, great icecreams, and an extraordinary view out over the reef.

This was our second time visiting Coconut Grove. It is such a unique, special experience, unlike any place I’ve ever stayed. There are only 3 beachfront bures, so it’s very private, peaceful and quiet, something that I crave to unwind from my busy life. The women that run this place take excellent care of their guests and will go out of their way to accommodate your specific needs. They are truly full of love and kindness. You can really feel it and being there is such a healing experience. ||They make excellent food, too. It is delicious, healthy and very flavorful. Whether you are vegan, vegetarian or like meat, you will find delicious foods on the menu, excellently prepared. ||The rooms are very comfortable with new super soft sheets and thick, fluffy towels that also add to a very pleasurable experience.||This place is a real gem and the people who run it treat guests like family. Once you get to know them they are fun to joke around with and have a great time like you’re staying with friends. I love these people and this place. I know I will be back.

Hidden Gem! Affordable and very private… Hubby and I had a wonderful time here, the villas are clean and cosy ( comfortable bed )with beautiful beach views. Food was really nice and the staff were fantastic, meet the new owners and what a difference they have made to the place in such a short time, good on them.. We’ll be back… recommend a stay 🥂

Don't hesitate to book Coconut Grove, its so incredible I can't even believe my family and I stayed here. Where to begin?!?! You walk onto the lush property and the staff is singing you a welcome song, the owners and their kids are an absolute delight, the room was 4 steps from the beautiful sandy beach, outdoor shower made of lava rock was so fun. We were two families who travel a lot with our kids 9-12 and we were all floored, I don't think we ever put our shoes back on! The kids were thrilled to play with their daughters, who are adorable, smart and funny (even if you don't have kids, you'll like them) Sunrise and Sunsets that are movie quality, and so many stars and rainbows! The food in the restaurant, where we ate ever single meal, is amazing! You don't have to stay there to eat there, the restaurant alone was worth the trip. I loved the fresh fruit platers, the lemonade, and the curry, OMG and the coconut banana bread with butter, TAKE ME BACK! It's a boutique resort and all the details are unique and special, not a massive conglomerate with no soul. You can tell that the team and ownership truly love it and pour their hearts into making your stay incredible, while also making it really seamless. If we were just laying low it was peaceful, beautiful, you could read in a hammock, or watch the fisherman walk a mile out on the reef, or lounge in the water. When we wanted activities they helped us coordinate transportation to natural waterslides (a kid favorite, we went twice), cliff jumping at a national park waterfall, scuba/snorkeling which was everyone's favorite, and even packed us a delicious lunch with drinks and snacks. They also helped us to visit a local school and the kids got to play and make local friends. WIFI worked great throughout for when I did need to work and take video meetings. We met other amazing guests, some of which had sailed there from New Zealand on their trip around the world and we now follow their journey on social medial! Also, It's beachfront and not far form the airport, so your vacation begins as soon as you land! There are only two tiny planes a day, so it's not like there is any airplane noise or anything like that, the proximity to the airport is wonderful because your vacation starts right away and you can stretch every last second before boarding home! This was without exaggeration the best family vacation we have ever been on, I can't imagine staying anywhere else now that Coconut Grove is on my radar.

We went here for dinner. It's one of the best meals we've had in Fiji. All 4 of ordered something different and each plate was fantastic. Great view and service as well.

We only went to the restaurant, but had to add our review as the food was delicious, well prepared and had some special dishes like the local version of ceviche - cokonda - don't miss it! The staff is absolutely lovely, we had dinner and came a couple of days later for lunch after a day hikes and before our flight and they let us have a shower at one of the rooms after which we told ourselves we must spend a few nights there when we come back as it's absolutely stunning and serene :)

When I booked this resort I never realized how wonderful it would be. Upon arrival the staff sing you a welcome song and immediately make you feel like you’re a part of the family. The grounds are spectacular and the Bure I stayed in was quaint, colorful, comfortable, clean with an amazing view of the sea. The food at the restaurant is awesome and they have vegan options. They will arrange your excursions for you and take you to and from the airport. If you’re lucky enough to stay here you will have the best time.

We had a wonderful stay in Coconut Grove - just steps from the beach, the setting was beautiful and our room was comfortable and well equipped. The hospitality from the staff was above and beyond, they were all so warm and helpful in arranging excursions and activities for us. The food was excellent, especially the homemade baked goods and the curries. I would recommend to anyone looking to explore Taveuni!
