We stayed in the Banana bungalow (closest to the beach) which is really well built and has screens (windows and doors), A/C, refrigerator, mats to wipe your feet, comfortable chairs (inside and on the porch), comfortable bed, and lovely outdoor shower (which proved my mosquito fear was unfounded as it drains and dries amazingly quickly and I never had to fend any off). The attention to detail is what sets this place apart: stainless steel Yeti jugs of drinkable water (no wasteful plastic bottles!) provided in your room and upon request, umbrellas (good for shade when walking as well as for the rain), sarongs (for visiting the waterfalls so ladies can respectfully walk through the villages), beach towels, kayaks which staff will set up for you on the beach and bring back so all you have to do is hop in and go and return, and a lovely restaurant. Amazing staff - they will even collect your recyclables. We were able to walk to the grocery store and to a couple restaurants. We were there for a week and although it is near the airport, there are only a couple small flights a day so it is not a bother and is super convenient for flying to/from the island. We just flagged down a taxi as we walked towards town one day and rented a car for a couple of days from the guy across the street and a couple houses down from Coconut Grove.
The ONLY thing was WiFi was only available at the main building and not in the bungalows, but we had cell signal in the bungalows so that never really bothered us. We highly recommend Coconut Grove Beachfront Cottages and would not hesitate to stay there again.
