We had a very nice stay in Cocoon. If you are looking for a quiet place in the middle of the forest this is the right place. We loved the silence and the minimalist style that allows you to connect with nature. Nonetheless, important to note that this is a self-catering accommodation, you need a car to get there and move around since is isolated and you will have to drive a non-paved road to access it. Also, the cabins are in need of some renovations in a few items.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Cocoon Eco Lodges in Portugal, and it was an unforgettable experience. From the moment we arrived, the serene ambiance and stunning natural surroundings made us feel instantly relaxed and rejuvenated. The accommodations were beautifully designed, featuring modern amenities while maintaining a rustic charm. The beds were incredibly comfortable, and waking up to the sounds of nature each morning was delightful. Our stay was nothing short of magical, a true haven for those seeking a peaceful and eco-conscious getaway. We left feeling refreshed, inspired, and eager to return. Highly recommended!

We had a lovely stay at the Cocoon over the weekend in a sunny Comporta. We loved how private our cabin was. The living room view of the forest, which stretches for miles, really makes you feel secluded and at one with nature. The cabin offers all of the amenities for ultimate comfort. For a micro cabin, there is plenty of space, and storage, the kitchen is fully equipped for home cooking, the beds are very comfortable. The cabin has a lot of natural sun light, as well as, good shutters for a cozy sleep. We would definitely come back to stay in Cocoon next time we travel to Comporta.

Very special experience, already driving there, around 10 minutes from the main road, puts you in a relaxing mood. Beautiful cabins surrounded only by nature. Highly recommended as a getaway, also great with kids. We will go there again!

We love nature and we’re sold by the idea of tranquil lodges in the forest. We agree the lodges were lovely and quiet but there are some key things which you need to be aware of if you are going to stay here; ||1 - you must have a hire car as it is very cut off. It involves driving down a 3.5 mile bumpy dust track which isn’t easy and you will only want to do once a day. ||2 - we were looking forward to wild swimming but the lake is not inviting. We braved it once and were the only ones as it’s very murky and full of frogs. The beach is a much better option. ||3 - we love biking but the bikes on offer are very poor and there’s no decent roads to bike on anyway. ||4 - the outdoor terraces arent used due to the large amount of flies and midgies. ||5 - lastly the lodges are built to a low standard and the worst point being drain smells in the bathroom due to no or incorrectly fitted traps.||||So overall it’s a shame as the rural setting is fantastic and these lodges could offer soo much more.

Set in the middle of pine trees, with an eco pool with small frogs, the bungalows have great design and a peaceful atmosphere, You do need a car to get here, along a dirt road, but good things don't come easy. Our bungalow was well setup, although the toaster was not working and there was no dish mop, the sleeping quality was perfect. With a car you can get to great beaches and excellent restaurants.||||If you are into a peaceful time this is the place to go.

If you’re looking to escape from civilization and live like Robinson Crusoe but still with relatively good comfort, then this is the place. The site is located about 4kms from the main road and you need to take a sand path to get there. Mind the potholes when it rains and follow the signs and infications given by the owners, do not follow your GPS or you will end up stuck in sand.|Lodges have good basic comfort, free wifi and tv, enough to cook and are quite comfortable. They could however do with some refresh as you feel they’re a bit used now.|There is also a natural pool with and games for kids (slides, etc). I was there with a 6 month old baby and a five year old daughter. Unfortunately it rained a lot when we were there meaning it was a bit difficult with two kids to stay inside the lodges.|The owner is very nice and was very helpful with some delayed luggage in Lisbon airport. I can recommend this place but not with very yound children and not when it is pouring rain.|

We had the pleasure of staying at Cocoon for one night a couple of weeks ago on our honeymoon. Though it is a tiny bit hard to find, once you're there, you are in a BEAUTIFUL nature preserve with the comforts of your own home, i.e. queen bed, kitchen, great shower, etc! Restaurants and towns are a quick 10 minute drive from there, and I do encourage you to explore the surrounding areas. The sun setting over the trees and natural lake are amazing, as are the fish and frogs. Note also potentially one of the best views of the milky way ever, just look up at night! If you love staying in nature, this is the place for you! ||||||I would also like to note that Vasco, the owner is among the nicest people we've ever met. After we checked out, our car got stuck in the sand on a nearby abandoned beach. He came over with his truck, helped tow us out, and then took us out to lunch at a nearby town, as well as showed us around! Truly an amazing person - if you stay here, strike up a conversation for sure (and ask him for some cooking tips - he was a chef for years in Lisbon!)
