After really enjoying 2024's Thanksgiving offer at Cocoricains with my wife, I came to celebrate again with my wife & some friends this year. Overall, coming out of it disappointed with the experience.
Came to 50 € per person for a fixed meal + Thanksgiving cocktail at added cost (which didn't map onto what I remembered reading on the web site - I thought it was 39 € including drink, but I digress).
Entrée : peanut soup, perfectly fine.
Main dish: turkey + homemade stuffing, cornbread, brussel sprouts, sweet potato purée. Sides of cranberry sauce & gravy. Portioning felt quite constrained for the sides, but the turkey & stuffing were much more adequate. The roasted brussel sprouts were quite carbonized, bordering on charred.
Dessert: pecan pie & pumpkin pie. I didn't understand the pumpkin pie, I must admit. it was quite... flat, literally. Almost like a tart. And served with a side of cranberry sauce, which I've never seen and didn't quite comprehend.
Service was alright, just fine, and the typical American-style deco and diner feel is obviously really great. But I still come out of this dinner overall underwhelmed vs my expectations, especially at the given price point.
