COCOS Hotel (Antigua)

As we were checking out, Kris asked us if there was anything COCOS could improve on. Immediately we both said no. From the moment we arrived to when we departed we felt very well taken care of by the friendly, accommodating, and kind staff. We enjoyed all of our meals at the restaurant as well as the beachside grill. The unique accomodation is what initially drew us to COCOS. Every set of guests enjoyed their own cottage, and ours had a wonderful view of the sea and its own pool. We felt it allowed for great privacy. The grounds were stunning and meticulously maintained. We rotated our time between the two beaches on either end of the resort, as we couldn't decide which we liked more. The larger, more lively beach offered the beachside grill as well as beautiful sunsets, while the smaller beach was private and perfect to spend our mornings. Both had their own separate beach side bars with strong pours. There is no question about whether we return, and we look forward to coming back soon.

A Hidden Gem — More Than a Hotel, a True Island Escape! Cocos is not your typical hotel — it’s a breathtaking boutique resort nestled on a lush mountainside overlooking the Caribbean Sea. We absolutely loved its intimate, tucked-away feel and the stunning ocean views from every corner. The food was outstanding — every meal was beautifully presented and bursting with flavor. Our cottage was spacious, spotless, and perfectly cool thanks to great air conditioning. The bed and linens were incredibly comfortable, but the real showstopper was the outdoor shower. Rinsing off while gazing out at the ocean or under the stars was pure magic — I don’t know how we’ll ever stay somewhere tropical without one again! The beaches were immaculate — no seaweed, soft sand, and plenty of sturdy loungers and umbrellas. We enjoyed the beach so much that we skipped excursions altogether and didn’t even mind the pool being under maintenance (you can find a pool anywhere, but the 2 beaches on the property are one of a kind). Each guest stays in a private cottage with no shared walls, creating a wonderfully peaceful and romantic atmosphere. The staff were genuinely warm, attentive, and happy — it’s clear they love what they do, and it makes all the difference. There’s truly something special about Cocos — words don’t quite do it justice. You just have to experience it yourself. We can’t wait to come back for an anniversary in the future!

Celebrated my birthday and New Years at this hotel. The views from the sunset rooms are stunning. Highly recommend the plunge room. Great location, romantic and very private/quiet resort. Only one restaurant with an amazing breeze but the menu changes daily. The only con was the bugs but they do provide bug spray. We will be back!

This place is a hidden gem. We came here for a highly anticipated trip after a hard year of cancer treatment. Celebrating finally being cancer free, we stayed at Coco’s and it did not disappoint. The rooms are gorgeous and kept super clean throughout your stay. We had a room/ hut on the beach and it had such perfect island vibes with an outdoor shower and infinity pool on the deck. The food was unbelievable. The best I’ve ever had at an all inclusive resort. Meal times were a highlight. And the people that work here are genuinely the best. Kris the manager was so kind and thoughtful and had so much knowledge about the area. The bartender super Mario always kept the party alive and was so nice to have conversations with. We came for new years and the staff decorated so nicely, had champagne, fireworks and live music. We had a blast. And Stephen and chef Wayne were great people to joke around and talk to. The island is very safe and people are overall very nice. We could not say enough about this place. We will definitely be back! Just spent a relaxing few days (not enough!) at cocos. Everything was what I expected as their website is accurate. Loved the privacy of the individual cottages, the outdoor shower, the super comfortable bed, and the gorgeous deck with the sunset views. There was a rotating menu and we never ate the same thing twice. There was some entertainment in the evening and we enjoyed some of it but skipped out early several nights because we didn’t care for the music. The ocean water temperature was cooler than I prefer. Beware it is hilly and many steps but the website is very clear about that. I booked a plunge pool cottage that I would have enjoyed a lot more had it been heated. It was simply too cold to use in the evening. All in all a very unique place!

Such a lovely vacation! We just spent a week at Cocos for our engagement moon. It met all our expectations and exceeded a lot. We stayed in the sunset cottage with a plunge pool - it’s hard to put into words to describe the view! Definitely recommend. ||Pros: the room is rustic but elegant. It is minimalist but clean and comfortable and has everything you need. We didn’t mind not having a TV. I brought my laptop just in case and we ended up watching a movie one night when we went to bed early. This is a very chill hotel. The nightly entertainment matches that vibe (live band, guitarist, Mr Wonderful who was such an amazing pianist.) lots of young couples at the resort and we enjoyed getting to know some of them, but it’s definitely not a crazy party vibe (the bar closes at 10:45pm.) The food is above average for an all inclusive resort (wouldn’t go so far to say the food was excellent like some of the reviews suggest, but you gotta keep the right expectations.) The staff are warm, gracious, and fun to chat with. Beaches: 11/10. We loved both. ||Some cons: the walk which many people have mentioned. Our room was at the very end and the walk only took us 7 minutes and wasn’t bad for us at all. We had a guy next door with a recent knee surgery and he was having a hard time. Just something to be aware of. There is room service for an additional charge (I think it’s like $20) so not included in the price of your room. My biggest gripe is that the last order for food closes 30-45 minutes before the restaurants close. So for the grill that closes at 6pm, our last order could be placed at 5:15pm. The restaurant closes at 9:30pm but last order is 9pm. I think changing the times of the restaurant’s closing to when the last orders can be placed makes more sense, especially since in the US if we see a restaurant is open until a certain time, the expectation is that even if you arrived a minute before closing, you would still be able to get service. ||*in case you go and would like to tip your servers, bartenders, etc (not necessary bc it’s included but we wanted to), make sure to bring small bills. We came ill prepared but luckily the staff were able to find us smaller bills.||Overall, we would definitely consider coming back (this is coming from someone who has extremely high standards and generally dislikes the whole all inclusive thing.) we loved it!

Our first time staying in an all-inclusive resort (couples only, geared toward low-key stay and relaxation), for a 1 week stay. Exceptional (!) location with two fantastic beaches by the resort, truly remarkable views and beach experience, one of the best we have ever had while traveling. Accomodations (bungalow/villa) were as advertised, rustic feel but very functional (great AC!), comfortable bed/pillow, nice-sized bathroom area with the one highlight being the outdoor shower concept at each bungalow which is something different and quite enjoyable, and also appreciated the terrasse area with hammock. The food had more than enough variety throughout the week (breakfast, lunch and dinner) and was of remarkably good quality, with the fresh seafood being typically outstanding. Drinks/cocktails also plentiful and good quality, with plenty of bars with immediate service (including on the beach). Service level gets a 10 out of 10, we liked the low-key approach and respect of privacy and support of relaxation, any small requests were handled very efficiently. We used the in-house spa services for a lovely couples massage at a reasonable price. All in all, the price/quality was outstanding, we very much enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend the resort (note that the resort's website is really well done and provides a true characterization of the resort facilities and vibe, so we recommend you read it before booking including their well explained FAQ's, everything was exactly as advertised i.e. no surprises, which these days is saying something...).

My husband and I just had our honeymoon at Coco’s and it was a dream. We had the sunset cottage with the plunge pool and it looked right over the ocean. The views were insanely beautiful, the drinks were strong and delicious, the staff was SO kind and accommodating, and the food was the best food I’ve ever had at a resort. I cannot recommend Coco’s enough. We will definitely be back!
