Cocotal golf course is always a pleasure to play. The three nines are different and equally challenging, Bouganvillea, Benjamina and Hibiscus are in great shape and a good test of golf! The staff are the friendliest, most helpful people to be around!! Marcelino and William have been a mainstay for many years, providing excellent service and always with a smile! Cristian is a wonderful addition to the team as well! I will be returning in March - can’t wait to see the boys again.

Excelente👌....one of the best gated communities in the punta cana/Bavaro area...pools, golf course, jogging paths and much more.

Played Cocotal Golf Course during the second week of January 2026. Booked through GolfNow for $116. Getting there via Uber from Bávaro was easy, no issues entering through security, as the driver left his license at the gate and dropped me off at the clubhouse. Getting an Uber back afterward was more challenging. The driver messaged that they wouldn’t let him through the security gate, so I had to walk about 5 minutes back to the entrance. I tried to speak with the guards on my way out but with my limited Spanish I couldn’t fully understand why Uber wasn’t allowed to the clubhouse on pickup, so just be aware of that when planning your return. I rented clubs at the course and opted for the premium set ($75), which were TaylorMade Qi10s. The irons and woods were top quality, the putter was a less-than-premium no-name putter. I didn’t see the standard rental set, so can’t comment on those. I warmed up on the driving range with a small bucket before heading out. The course has three 9-hole tracks. I played Benjamina first, followed by Hibiscus. Tee boxes and fairways were in excellent condition. Greens were a bit long and on the slow side. Bunkers were quite wet as it had rained the previous day, so the few times I found myself in a bunker I just dropped back on the grass without penalty. The scenery was a highlight, very attractive routing through private homes and condos. There was no one ahead of me, so I was able to play a couple balls per hole and never caught up to anyone else. One minor gripe, some greens seemed very small. The 9th on Benjamina, for example, was maybe 5 paces wide and 10 paces long, a small postage stamp sized green to hit from 120-yards out. For me coming from Florida where I golf year-round, the experience felt more like a $75 course from where I come from, so the value wasn’t outstanding for me. That said, if you’re visiting from a colder climate, haven’t played a round in months and are not accustomed to golfing among palm trees, it’s a solid option and an enjoyable round in a beautiful setting.

Recently became an owner at Reserva Real which is part of Palma Real and Cocotal. Beautiful property. Feels so safe for the kids and the club house has good food and service unlike others I've visited.

Nice golf course. Fairways need to be cut more. Rough is crazy. Short but fluffy. Losing balls that just berry them self in the fluff. Greens are slow with little break. But overall, it's a really good course. Wide and forgiving. Staff are very friendly.

Good course. I wanted to rate it higher but too many challenges with maintenance of course, pace of play, rough, greens, and overall display. This course has been, and probably will be again. Many new homes and residents going up. Hopefully it will inject necessary funds into the revitalization if this course with great bones. It is not worth $169! Not currently. Not in present condition. OAN: staff and pro shop customer service was phenomenal!

Not family & kids friendly - There’s no playground for children. - You can only walk along the golf paths from 6:30 PM to 6:30 AM, when it’s dark and there’s no lighting. - Even during the allowed time, kids can’t ride scooters or bikes — it’s strictly forbidden. - Running or playing on the grass is also not allowed, so children literally have nowhere to play. - The Casa Club café isn’t a casual spot either — you can’t just come with kids for coffee or juice, since there’s a $50 minimum per person. Definitely not a place for families.

Decent golf course. Very close to Dreams/Secrets Royal Beach and you get preferred pricing. Still $100 USD, but much cheaper than other courses nearby. Wide fairways, forgiving. Greens are slow. Bunkers are not maintained which is an issue for a golf course. Hard as concrete and no rakes. Staff are very friendly. Location is very safe. All in all, it was fun and great to get out for three rounds on my vacation while I wait for the snow to melt at home. They provide a cooler, cold water but beer is $3/per.
