This is a cute, mostly out-of-the-way place that's nice and quiet. It's about 2ish miles north of town. We stayed in one of the cabanas on the waterfront which is nice. The staff here is very friendly and helpful. Use of bikes and kayaks is free, which is great. We made liberal use of the bikes, taking them all over the whole island (I think they also have locks, but we brought one). I took a kayak out to the reef once to snorkel, but there wasn't much out there so I didn't go again. The pool here is great for cooling off after a day out on the bikes. Our room was clean and comfy and had a kitchen, so we made a few meals here so we wouldn't be eating out every night. Having a fridge is nice so we could take home leftovers and nuke them the next day for lunch. Overall, a good place to relax on vacation. I only wish they had a restaurant onsite (there are some close by).

We’ve been coming to Cocotal for about 7 years. Switched our beach vacation from Playa del Carmen due to to much of everything. International tourism, harassing vendors etc. Belize and specifically Cocotal got us back to vacation mode. There’s a great team led by Ben and now his son Justin has joined, who give us the best service we can ask for. Peace and quiet and a pooch or two to pet. We love the quiet and it’s as a bunch of people said, very convenient to get to downtown and up north if you want. We’re birders so north is a fantastic place to see snowy egrets, lots of herons, osprey, and an occasional woodpecker. We’re looking again for a flock of parakeets but they’re very elusive.

A little gem on a very developed island. Ben and his team were so helpful and always with a smile. We visited with our daughter and her family. The resort was ideal for a multi generational Christmas. The grandchildren were so excited that there was a Christmas tree in the apartment on their arrival. Thank you Yahaira for organising. A fabulous place to stay. Close enough to town but in a secluded location.

What a bit of paradise hidden away on a beach in Belize. Great views. Friendly folks. Easy going vibe. Only 8 rooms, a pool, a dock, and two cute local dogs; Coco and Jeff. Don't need much else.

My partner and I stayed here first week in March. It was so perfect!!! Our little garden cabana had everything we needed. A full kitchen and fridge was a plus. Everything was so clean and our dishes were always washed and drying when we got back from a day out. The caretaker, Ben, was so kind and welcoming. We loved seeing the beautiful birds and butterflies out our window everyday, and getting some greetings from Ben's dog, Jeff. This was the perfect distance from town (about a 10 min golf cart ride) and a nice little oasis for some peace and quiet by the water. We never got to use the kayaks and bikes but it was so nice how they provided them for free. You have to stop by the Truck stop nearby! Great food and live music. We would definitely stay here again, and hopefully are back soon!!! 10/10!!!

We stayed at the Inn - it was incredibly comfortable and very close to the beach. We had wonderful morning walks along the beach every day - just gorgeous. This was a great spot for the hubby & me. We loved that we were a little out of the crowds. A golf cart handled all of our trips to the various spots we wanted to see. |The staff was so accommodating and helped with any questions or requests. There are kayaks, and bicycles for use. If you're staying more than 3 days get a golf cart for the week.

We went last year in March, and we're returning with friends in June! We absolutely loved Cocotal. The staff (and dog) were amazing, all our excursions were booked by staff and picked us up at the dock. We used the grill, they even had lots of spices to use in the cabinet and we left our extras too. Rooms were clean, we had everything we needed, and can't wait to be back! I felt so safe, even when my husband wasn't with me in this area. Such a low-key vacation vibe, great distance to town and secret beach! We prefer this north side of the island vs the south end. Note, we did not have cell signal when we landed, but if you use wifi and download the area on google maps, you'll be able to get around!

My husband and I went to Ambergris Caye for our 15 yr wedding anniversary. Stayed at Cocotal Inn in their yellow cabana. It was wonderful!! Cabana was clean and it had everything we needed. We loved the location because it is north of the bridge and much quieter than in town (but still close enough with a short golf cart ride). Ben and Yahaira were very helpful!! They answered all of our questions before arriving and while we there! We would definitely stay here again!
