If you're looking to visit the 'Secret Gilis' in Lombok this is the place to stay. A charming, unassuming, small boutique hotel set within lush tropical gardens located in a quiet area off the beaten track. I've stayed here twice in three years and will not hesitate to return. My first visit was part of a 2-week pre-organised itinerary which I had booked during the month of July, which is best time to visit. The waters are clean, the sun is out and the mess from the off season storms has been cleared. My second visit was in March this year just after a cyclone had ravaged the islands and left behind a trail of damage. Conditions were not as good although the must-see island hopping trip to Gili Nangg and Gili Kedis will offer spectacular snorkelling conditions any time of year and without the crowds found on other islands. A private trip can be organised through the hotel so no need to shop around and snorkelling equipment is provided. Rooms are beautifully furnished with locally sourced materials and I would recommend upgrading to their private pool villas which still present excellent value for money. You get a massive room with spacious outdoor bathroom facilities including a small plunge pool directly overlooking the beach. Due to its remote location, you really have no option but to dine in the resort a la carte restaurant. However, there's plenty on the menu to keep you happy for a few days and the quality of food is very good. The overall resort atmosphere is quiet although the boys behind the bar are a good laugh and always up for an impromptu karaoke night! I can also highly recommend their in-resort spa tucked away in a quiet area at the back of the resort. Easily missed but well worth it, especially their outdoor beds that overlook the sea from an elevated spot. Highly recommended and suggest staying here as part of wider Lombok itinerary due to its remote location. I would've given it a 5/5 if they payed more a little more attention to keeping the grounds and beach tidy.

We have stayed in this hotel many times over the last ten years. The location is superb and is has been maintained to an extremely high standard. It has a range of rooms and prices ranging from garden view, pool view and beach front cottage's with you own plunge pool, the staff are amazing and nothing is too much bother. My wife had a slight medical issue one night and they moved heaven and earth to get a DR and nurse to the hotel within 35 minutes|We always stay in a beach front cottage and they are amazing|We have tried 3 other hotels in the area offering similar accommodation and walked out of ALL THREE after 2 hrs AFTER checking in |THIS IS THE OLY PLACE TO STAY IN THE SEKATONG AREA|The photos on their site ae a true and accurate representation of the resort unlike many other resorts when you wonder when they were taken or who phot shoped them |They have there own boats for diving or trips to the plentiful islands in the immediate area, a stunning and clean white sand beach and there own private jetty|I guarantee you will not be disappointed, my wife has banned me from any further experimentation with other hotels in the area |On a good morning you can watch the sun rise framing MT Rinjani and lighting up the bay

Easy access to Gillies islands. Snorkeling and diving. Really lovely staff who have a great sense of humor and are very welcoming. Loved the villa with a private pool.so peaceful . Huge bathroom and a bath. Excellent place to stay. We saw monkeys on the beach. Recommend the tomato 🍅 soup.

This is our 4th time staying at Cocotino's Sekotong. We keep on coming back because we love the staff and the room looking over the pool and beach and all the lovely food to choose from at Ela Ela Restaurant . The location is great for many awesome snorkelling spots around the lesser known Gili's. We celebrating our 25th wedding anniversary in style with Lobster cooked to perfection under candlelight all prepared by the amazing cooks at the hotel. Its not "goodbye " it's "until we meet again "

Be careful with your bills. They have tried to charge me twice for food. Beach full of litter. Poor to be honest. The room was nice enough though. Food on the poor side. Far from airport. Don't go to gilli islands as litter strewn hole. Could and should be paradise but it's not

This is indeed the best resort I have ever stayed in. Their sea beach and the mountains are very beautiful. You can relax by the sea beach and mountains and enjoy the sunset. You can enjoy mocktails while enjoying the sea beach and mountains from the restaurant. Their breakfast is excellent and their staff are very friendly. The room is very comfortable and the room has both outdoor and indoor shower. If you want some peace and enjoy some moments by the sea and mountains and want to stay away from the hassle and bustle, this must be your best choice. Hopefully, I will return again to this beautiful resort one day.

Lovely Gardens and Location. Rooms very spacious clean and comfortable in beautiful gardens. Nice beach with snorkelling good once you swim passed sea grass. Very good Dive Centre that do boat trips, diving equipment was excellent as was boat and guide. Food was good. Hotel is isolated so a nice quite relaxing resort. Pool needs a refurbished, clean and overlooks beach just needs updating (Perfect spot for infinity pool)

It's a lovely property and a great value. The staff are all very friendly, the hotel grounds are beautifully designed, there's a beautiful view, and the rooms are clean. As a bonus, there are also many cute frogs around the property at night. My only nit is that the A/C doesn't cool the rooms down enough, but it wasn't uncomfortably hot.
