Great crepes / galettes, great service, cute cozy place. Went with a friend on a Sunday mid-morning and it was lovely. Not crowded, very cute place, and friendly staff. We both had a savory galette and thoroughly enjoyed them. The toilet (clean and stocked) is up the narrow stairway, which is very normal in central Amsterdam. They have both indoor and outdoor sidewalk seating. Highly recommended!

We were at this little spot last Sunday. It's a very small place, but well-maintained in every detail – the wooden tables, the carefully chosen decorations (given the season, they were Christmas-themed, including a tree hanging upside down from the ceiling), and the attentive and friendly staff. We decided to try two savory crepes (the Old Dutch is highly recommended!), which were served with a nicely dressed side salad. Then, we indulged our cravings and finished the meal with two sweet crepes and a cup of hot chocolate. In our opinion, it's a very cozy place and highly recommended! The food and the selection were great. Considering the location and its proximity to downtown Amsterdam, the prices are also in line with what’s offered.

A wonderful place to enjoy a crêpe supplemented with a latte. I ordered the Choco Berry Crêpe and it was mouthwatering, best crêpe I’ve ever had! The gentleman who served us was incredibly polite and welcoming. The ambiance was cozy and aided by tasteful music for background noise. There is also a restroom located upstairs. I know there are many locations in Amsterdam that serve crêpes, but this spot is well worth the visit.

Very cozy and welcoming place, just around the corner from Dam square. The food is very good and authentic, with good variety and genuine ingredients. The staff is very friendly and smiley. Definitely recommended! :)

Delicious buckwheat crepes! The dark chocolate was also dairy free so it’s perfect for if you’re looking for gluten free and vegan desserts. The shop is also cute and there is outside seating.

We had a lovely stop to this cute French corner! The interior design is rustic and transfers you to the French countryside. We tried one of the family recipes, tarte tatin, a crepe with dark chocolate and orange, as well as a very nice variety of black tea and a coffee. We enjoyed it a lot!

I have been there several times but recently they cook the base of the pancake earlier and when you get it the base is not as soft as when they do it at the moment. Also, considering the increase of the prices, it is not worth to pay for a product that is not fresh. It is a shame because the place is lovely and very romantic.

Nice cozy area with tasty brunch. The restroom is available if you walk along the stair upwards, which is clean.

Yelp
Wonderful gem, a corner Cafe abundant light from the huge windows making this a bloggers picture paradise. We aren't bloggers, but serious foodies and enjoyed craft coffees and a great selection of crepes (sweet or savory). The bathroom is upstairs - enjoy the trip up a winding narrow staircase, just watch your head. :)

Yelp
Cute little cafe in the city center. I had a crepe and this one had chocolate filling inside with straw berries and blueberries. Then I also had an apple dessert- which I forgot the exact name right now. Tables are very close to each other inside so expect to be right next to someone. You come in an sit then they bring the menus and you order etc, Food was good. I enjoyed it.

Yelp
This is my favorite cafe in all of Europe. No joke. Don't leave without trying the apple juice.

Yelp
Wonderful little breakfast (or anytime) cafe. We had the Tatin crepe and the Dutch Girls crepe. Im not one to exaggerate but the latte was maybe the best Ive ever had. It was rich, smooth, creamy and full of generous coffee flavor. Indoor and outdoor seating in a cozy atmophere.

Yelp
This is the cutest place and the food was so good. I seen pictures online and the place did not disappoint. I got The Red fruit Crumble... wow so good. Service was good and the ambiance was very laid back/ homie love it

Yelp
Lovely spot for breakfast. Small operation with everything made fresh to order. Our savory crepes were delicious, as were our lattes. Staff was warm and attentive.

Yelp
I didn't know what to expect with the gf galette but was loving the orange flavored one. Service was great and I enjoyed the coffee. A very fun find near Central Station

Yelp
After an early visit to the Anne Frank House we stumbled onto this place for a quick breakfast. This is a great place if you need a gluten free option since all the savory crepes were made with Brittany buckwheat flour. I got the girly and I liked the light flavors especially the avocado. The staff was pleasant, atmosphere was relaxed and the place was charming.

Yelp
Fresh off an overnight flight, I stumbled out of Amsterdam Central Station and started walking. I knew I had all day before I could check in to my Airbnb, but I knew I needed some caffeine and I had no destination in mind as I started walking. Fate took me to Cocotte By Hexagone. My brain was on little sleep and forgot to take any pictures here, please forgive. This was a great first stop in Amsterdam. It was a beautiful morning around 8 a.m. and the streets had barely woken up yet. There were few people out and about and I knew I wanted to sit on one of the tables out front. The barista at the counter took my order, I went with an iced Americano. The barista was the first person I interacted with in Amsterdam and she began what I would find to be a common trend- the Dutch are by and large a truly kind group of people and hospitality seems to just come naturally. I sat out front of the coffee shop/bakery and plotted out my day. The caffeine coursed through my veins and I began my journey in the Netherlands. This is a great spot to drop by when you find yourself in Amsterdam.

Yelp
Had a fantastic breakfast at Cocotte. I ordered the Province, which is a tasty and cheesy Italian mix of flavors. It lactated a bit when I tried to cut it (order it and you'll know what I mean) but it was perfectly cooked and absolutely delicious. My husband got the Brunch (smoked salmon, eggs and cheese). It was light and the salmon didn't have a strong flavor but was still delicious. The hot cider and cappuccino were very tasty and warm on a cold, rainy day.

Yelp
Enjoyed the lovely citron crepe (lemon and brown sugar). The atmosphere is very cozy yet bright, staff is fun and playful, service is quick and attentive. They have free WiFi and a small bathroom upstairs so this is a great spot to stop and do a little internet browsing and grab a cup of coffee, crepe, dessert or a soft drink. Very small space so I wouldn't recommend groups over four.

Yelp
I found this lovely spot on my last visit to Amsterdam. Outside of France, the best galettes I've had!

Leslie M.

Yelp
So delicious and fabulous wait staff! Excellent coffee drinks, fresh mint tea and food. Wish we had had room for dessert, because the sweet crepes looked amazing!

Yelp
Just walking through the neighborhood and stopped in for a bite. It's very small with 8 or 9 tables for 2 squeezed close together. Food all fresh and made to order. Hubby and I shared a crepe (they are all buckwheat so all GF) that came with a lovely little side salad made of butterhead lettuce and walnuts with a yummy vinaigrette. Our crepe was savory with several kinds of Dutch cheese and avocado. Very generous portion plenty to share. We had some steaming hot tea too. Would definitely recommend.

Yelp
Cute bakery - reminds me of being in the country side of France. The staff is also really nice! We got the berry crumbs and fresh mint tea - both delicious! They also open late and we were able to fit our stroller in the store, which are both positive!

Yelp
This was a total spontaneous decision made on our way walking to our hotel! This place is amazing! We got a Choco crepe with milk chocolate and bananas and a Choco berry crepe. Absolutely one of the most rich chocolate I have tasted! We also got a savory crepe Provence which had fresh mozzarella and tasted great. Presentation of the food is elegant! Highly recommend to stop by if you are in the area.

Yelp
Fresh orange juice, great coffee, amazing food. Right around corner from our hotel. Have come in every morning.

Yelp
Very friendly staff, vegan milk alternatives and a confy atmosphere. Unfortunatly there is no vegan cake:(

Yelp
I loved this little restaurant. Cute exterior, simple but thoughtful and cozy interior. The latte I ordered was delicious, and I just loved their galette with emmenthal cheese, egg and avocado. So delicious. I wanted to go back every day for breakfast but unfortunately schedules didn't work. They don't open until 9 am.

Yelp
Brittany is one of Europe's finest coastal regions: rocks in numerous formations and colours, dramatic seascapes, quaint villages. On top of all that the food of les Bretons is very worthwhile. Superb shellfish - crab, scallops, lobster - seductive pastry and one-of-a-kind pancakes. Not the thick buttery ones the Dutch tend to make, but thin sweet (crêpes) and savoury ones (galettes) with a refined taste. At newly opened Cocotte by Hexagone you can eat copies of these Breton delicacies, including kouign amann, a rich Breton butter cake. Cocotte is located in the heart of the city and is as cute as you want your crêperie Bretonne to be: wooden tables, rotan chairs, flowers, blue-white tableware. Hartstikke gezellig (very cosy) real 'girly' and undeniably French. No wonder with French owners and a French cook, all with roots in Brittany. While listening to the marriage plans of my neighbours, two twenty-somethings with Chanel-bags, I had a galette to remember. One made from gluten free buckwheat flour with roasted hazelnuts, camembert and honey to soften the mildly strong taste of the cheese. Continue the oh-là-là feeling by ordering a crêpe with rose petals or, even better, a piece of tarte tatin with juicy caramelized apples on a crunchy butter biscuit.

Yelp
Small and charming restaurant but the food was unimpressive. We split a pot of coffee which was good, but both of our savory crepes were bland and too cheesy. The small side salad was overpowered by the strong dressing. We were glad to get out of the rain, but would perhaps only come back for a coffee and slice of cake next time.
