So glad to finally get to try this place. A fabulous setting on Flinders Lane in a basement, industrial chic, great lighting, & a good range of menu & drink choices. The food was amazing. Flavours were well balanced & delicious, and we were very happy with our choices. Presentation was excellent & designed for sharing except the appetisers. I would have liked to try each one of them, but this is a pricey restaurant for my usual dining budget. I found it to be a noisy atmosphere & hard to hear at times. The service was not up to scratch for the prices - unfortunately I felt we were a little ignored. I found the Crispy Lamb dish to be chewy (but not my companions) & the Roti was more like foccasia but still good. The Tea Soaked Duck was my favourite dish of the evening along with the parfait desert. Well worth the dining experience

I came in really hoping to enjoy the food, especially since we ordered nearly every dish the waiter recommended, along with a few classics we thought were safe bets. Unfortunately, every dish fell flat. They were bland, lacking depth, and surprisingly one dimensional. With Asian cuisine offering such a rich palette of spices and bold flavors, I expected more creativity and balance. I’m genuinely surprised by the high ratings this place has received.

The food was unbelievably good! Everything was had for amazing - we had the Yellowfin tuna, lamb, prawn fried rice and the pavlova dessert. The service was also fantastic - very knowledgable and friendly. We will be back!

Took my mum there with my partner to celebrate her birthday. We had set menu and it was such a value. It was delicious, fresh, and beautifully presented. The only thing I didn’t like was the steak. It was a bit chewy for me but my partner liked it. The location gives you a sense of mystery. Interior and vibe were amazing once you stepped in. Cosy, sleek and intimate. Would love to come back again try some new on the menu.

If every dish was eaten in isolation, I think I would be happier. But Coda seems confused by what makes it an Asian fusion restaurant. Just because there is a bit of coriander and chilli oil, doesn't necessarily make anything fusion at all. It's probably more modern Asian if anything. Lots of different write ups that had spoken about a Euro-Vietnamese dining experience, but there was nothing to be found there either. The choice of mains was particularly interesting, a Javanese curry, Massaman Curry, Steamed fish or a steak. The fact that so many tables had opted for the steak begs the question, do people even come here for the 'asian flavours' anymore?

Laksa lunch special, looked and tasted amazing. Could have handled a bit spicier, next time will ask for more chilli. The anchovy sambal was delicious

Just outstanding on all fronts. Loved every dish. San choy bow, smoked duck, Javanese curry all delicious. Service friendly and attentive without being overbearing. I drink a lot of water and i've never had a water glass filled so rapidly and repeatedly but the wait staff, if there was a glass filling Olympics they'd be winning gold

Everything was delicious but the service is what stood out. I wish I could remember our servers name but he was amazing. So much attention to detail and always giving excellent recommendations. Overall highly recommend visiting CODA.
