Quite disappointed in this one as they have some really good reviews.
All dishes were decent but overly salted. We tried nearly every cocktail on the menu and they just tasted not quite right, obviously it's preference but I don't feel like any of the cocktails suited the menu.
Also note that their menu prices does not include gst which was a bit shocking when we got the receipt. The prices are already very expensive, especially for some of the serving sizes. The shiso sorbet we had for dessert was horrible, but jasmine tea ice cream was a winner. Fries were the best out of everything we got so that's saying a lot.
Service was great and it's a nice moody place.
Won't be a return!

Was Coda worth the money?
Absolutely NOT. Service was pretty slow on getting the food out. Portions were rationed so small for the price you’re paying.
What we ordered:
Sesame Ginger Old Fashioned ($25)
Pandan Fig ($18)
Yuzu Iced Tea ($16)
Yuzu spritz ($25)
Oysters ($7) x 2 - Love the dressing on this.
Queensland Scallop ($14) x 2 - It was okay.
King oyster mushroom skewers ($9) x 2 - This was pretty nice.
Beetroot, goats cheese ($9) x 2 - DONT get this.
Cheong fun ($27) - Best flavour out of everything thing.
Hiramasa Kingfish ($33) - Very sour toppings on the Kingfish.
Tea smoked duck breast ($27) - Expected more from this, but it was okay.
Hot & Numbing Crispy Eggplant ($32) - This was okay.
Javanese Curry ($38) - This was pretty nice.
Egg Fried Rice ($28) - Everyone got like 2 spoonfuls of fried rice for this price.
Wombok Salad ($15) - Very sour dressing.
Roti ($10) - 4 small pieces
Food was definitely hit or miss with more misses than hits. Not worth the money and not worth the time.

Food here is 10/10
Three entrees scallop, prawn betel leaves and liver parfait were perfection. Kingfish sashimi and duck breast amazing punchy flavour. My partner had pork cutlet with prawn fried rice also really nice.
Had spicy passionfruit margi was a nice change from classic.
Wine was pretty expensive would be my only criticism affordable by the glass but not by the bottle!

Coda is a beautiful place for a nice meal. We enjoyed the ambience and food, but the service left a little to be desired. For the price you can definitely do better, but it was a nice experience.

We had an amazing meal here and the food was impeccable. As a long term Melbournian I am embarrassed not to have been before. Not a dessert person but OMG the Apple Mille and the sesame and peanut parfait….

CODA far exceeded our expectations! We are from Brisbane and were overwhelmed with restaurant choices but were recommended CODA and we are so glad we did.
Every single thing we ordered came out perfectly. The special of the night was a Wagyu Scotch Fillet with freshly shaved truffle and I begged the waiter to put it on the menu permanently. It was simply perfect. The oysters were fresh and delicious. The yuzu iced tea was great and if you want to try something new and fun, the duck parfait puff was incredible. We also enjoyed the Tea Smoked Duck which was unique and very flavourful. Our waiters were very attentive, fun and vibrant.
We wish you were in Brisbane, we would be frequent visitors!

Nothing particularly special. I feel like there are a lot of other places more interesting. The restaurant is fusion but I feel as if it is too tailored to the western styles.
The salmon was okay and I saw alot of good reviews for the duck liver pate however I found there was way too much duck pate compared to the surrounding cracker and it didn’t balance right for me.
The mains we got the fish and the rendang. Both had some flavour but not much.
While the food overall wasn’t horrible I was expecting more for the price point.
Staff were lovely and restaurant interior was nice though

Great experience at Coda. I had two small lunch dishes, and both were deliciously prepared.
The staff is super friendly and the wait for my meals was not long. They played some nice background music which gave the experience a relaxing touch to this venue. It wasn't very busy, which means I have to go for dinner to enjoy the full vibe of this cool, and well located restaurant .
Way to go, Coda. I'll be back.
