If every dish was eaten in isolation, I think I would be happier. But Coda seems confused by what makes it an Asian fusion restaurant. Just because there is a bit of coriander and chilli oil, doesn't necessarily make anything fusion at all. It's probably more modern Asian if anything. Lots of different write ups that had spoken about a Euro-Vietnamese dining experience, but there was nothing to be found there either.
The choice of mains was particularly interesting, a Javanese curry, Massaman Curry, Steamed fish or a steak. The fact that so many tables had opted for the steak begs the question, do people even come here for the 'asian flavours' anymore?
