I don’t usually leave Google reviews, but I had to for this bar. Hands down the best bar in Tokyo—maybe even all of Japan. They have super creative drinks, so if you’re into trying something new, this is the spot. Our bartender, Kaoru, was amazing. He really listens to what you’re looking for in a cocktail and puts his own twist on it. He made us several original drinks that weren’t even on the menu. Both the menu and off-menu cocktails were incredible. If you like spicy cocktails, you have to try one with wasabi gin—it’s next level. Also, it’s not too hard to grab a seat here, which was a bonus. We’re so happy we found this place on our last day in Japan—just wish we had more time to come back. This is a must-visit when in Tokyo!

Really loved this bar, great service and amazing unique drinks. I had a couple, including the Roquefort colada which was my favorite. They've got a small gin distillery in the bar as well, make a lot of unique gins, got to taste the blue cheese & wasabi, which were both very true to the flavor, quite tasty.

Went to this place with my colleagues and we all loved the drinks. We all ordered two drinks, the first one is from the menu and the second one is a special drink they made based on our conversation. They have a great collection of food-infused alcohol! All the mixologist here are very kind as well.

I was lucky to arrive before the busy time and got to enjoy a lovely dinner with outstanding cocktails and even better service. The team takes great pride in their work and I am thankful to have been able to experience a little of their craft.

FOREIGNERS BEWARE! Place was crowded, we were told to wait outside. Reasonable, it looks busy. Then the bartender comes out and shoves a menu into our hands while we were waiting by the elevator? Another japanese-speaking party of 3 walks in after us and is seated right away. Cool. Bartender comes out and says we could be seated…right as we walk into the middle of the bar the bartender realizes he actually doesn’t have seats, looks confused and then asked/gestures for us to wait back outside…no apologies or explanations at all, worst service I’ve experienced from Japan during my 2weeks here. Expect a 850yen cover charge and from what I could tell drinks were just short of 3000yen based on the menu. Save your money, time and dignity by just skipping this place all together. Plenty of local spots nearby that actually deserve your business

This bar is beautiful and the cocktails even better. You can tell they dedicate a lot of time experimenting with different and creative ingredients. My partner loved the Roquefort Colada and I especially liked the Kumquat Breakfast (I subbed tequila for rum and it's delicious both ways)! The staff are wonderful. We really enjoyed our time here. Would recommend 100%!

Great spot with decent cocktails, though the flavors were a bit strong for my taste. Excellent presentation and service. Heads-up: there’s an 880 yen per person cover charge from 16:00-23:00, which I missed initially. Ended up being 40% of my bill—would’ve ordered more drinks otherwise!

Amazing unique cocktails. My wife and I had 8 cocktails total during two separate visits. The bartenders were experts and had unique homemade liquors using their infusion machine (not sure what the contraption is called). They also made conversation with us with good English, which was appreciated. My favorite was probably the smoked rum one, but the milky pistachio one was amazing too. My wife’s favorite was the wasabi gin + pear + elderflower drink. We were able to get seats by walking in and thought the price was well worth the quality. IIRC it was around ¥2000 per drink + a cover fee for each person.

Yelp
Tokyo, Akasaka. December 2024. Sometimes things play out in a serendipidous manner. When it involves Tokyo cocktail bars that's a big bonus. A friend wanted to take to a cocktail bar after dinner. It was one street over and around a corner from dinner so I agreed. When we arrived I remarked, "I was intending to come here but I didn't quite know where it was". It is upstairs on the second floor. It looks small with just a long bar and a corner table for two, but there is another narrow room behind the bar back wall that has more tables and accomodates three and four at a time per table. There is also a rarely used private room for six. The cocktails are in the inventive spirit of owner, Shuzo Nagumo. I like his other cocktail bars, some of which have specific themes, so discovering this place by accident was exciting. They have a larger fixed food menu here, versus the Ginza locations, but after eating dinner one snack was more than enough. The cocktails are playfully different. There is a foie gras infused vodka martini with chocolate that is smoked in a plastic bag and opened in front of you. We had a couple of the new seasonal cocktails plus a couple of ad hoc mocktails. The crew is friendly. Foreigners are very welcome at all of Nagumo-San's bars. The current manager, Yosuke Kawahara, was previously at Mixology Heritage in Hibiya Okuroji. I'll be back now that I know how to find the place.

Yelp
Treat yourself! The crew here is exceptional. Each gin is crafted with care. The hinoki gin tastes like walking in the woods. The apple newton is like a salty sweet candied apple. Just delightful!

Yelp
Visited Tues, April 17 2018 @ 6PM We ordered... Drinks: 4 specialty cocktails (favorite: Tom Yum Cocktail), potatoes with ibérico ham (to die for!!), and the tasting menu for 4 ...and spent: ~$80 per person Service: absolutely phenomenal, no wait time and super friendly and attentive staff Vibe: mood lighting, bar seating to watch the amazing bartenders in action, gin infusers bubbling, laid back atmosphere and setting with awesome decor Good for: any night of the week, friends in town to impress, amazing, unique cocktails and munchies, tasting menus, a buzz on a night out in Tokyo Overall verdict: I would come here anytime I was back in Tokyo. The best and most unique cocktails I've had in a really long time!! Absolutely loved the vibe and the food was also super delicious. Highly recommend a visit here! We came in for a quick drink and were so impressed we ended up staying for over 3 hours!

Yelp
High end craft cocktails, beautiful bar, english menu. $8 cover charge though and two drinks ended up being $52. Had a good looking 5 course menu with cocktail pairings for $70 that looked great.

Yelp
We went up to the third level (there's also a bar on the second level), which felt very intimate and cozy. The bartender here really had some skill, and you could tell he had a passion for mixology. He made one of the best negronis I've had, and other cocktails I tasted were excellent as well. It's a bit pricey by Tokyo standards -- drinks are in the 1,500 yen range -- but worth it in my opinion for the good drinks and cool vibe.
