Old school spot with fresh donuts! Came on a Wednesday morning with no line and lots of seats available. My favorite was the Boston cream. Cash only so make sure to bring cash. Very affordable

Best Boston cream donut I've ever had. Decent presentation. A little rustic but nice. Great place to stop if you are traveling from I-95 over to the Merritt Parkway.

This is just a little horse shoe style diner, trying to keep up with modern times. We got the bacon egg and cheese on a hard roll, a coconut twist, a marble twist, a Boston cream, and a cinnamon roll. Everything was tasty, but our recommendation would be Boston cream, cinnamon roll marble twist followed up by the coconut twist. The sandwich was actually quite tasty but had like nothing in it sadly.

I was in Westport for a dog appt and knew I wanted to get a bagel afterwards. A Google search didn't show any place in town, closest in Fairfield. I was headed that way and happened to catch their donut sign. Figured they MUST have bagels too. So pulled in. It's a small little comfy spot. There were customers sitting, some chatting, some working on laptop. The walls are heavily decorated with photos and momentos. It felt very homey and 'lived-in'. I loved it at once! There was one guy in front of me ordering, that's when I noticed the NO CREDIT OR DEBIT CARD ACCEPTED sign. But the customer let me know I could walk two stores over and there's an atm. So got some cash and headed back. I ordered a Sesame bagel with cream cheese, but I could immediately see this place is about their donuts! The display featured an array of decadence that almost made me salavitate! Lol! I couldn't resist when I saw the crispy looking old fashioned - a favorite of mine. So I threw one in my order as well, and a coffee. She have me a ten bill back and I asked for change so I could leave tip in the bowl. Then I was on my way. I knew that donut wouldn't make it back to Bridgeport with me, so I snapped a picture in the bag! It was so crispy and fresh. Exactly what I love about an old fashioned. So good! The bagel I ate later and it was a nice bagel, not the best, but the worst. But decent and fresh. Toasted nicely, appropriate amount of cream cheese. Delicious all around. There are tables and counter seating. Send a great place to dine alone, or do some quick business. The lady who took my order couldn't have been more personable or welcoming. She made my coffee just right too, and made sure I had napkins in my bag. The parking lot is small, but seems enough spots for the small shopping center. Easy on and off the main road. I think this is a spot I'll visit again next time I'm down here for my doc. Well worth the stop.

The only authentic, old-school diner left in Westport comes with a huge bonus: homemade donuts. The food at this Westport "institution" is very good, as expected from people who genuinely care about their customers and not just the bottom line. My recent bacon, egg white and cheese sandwich was very good, if a bit thin on the inside. Coffee is very good too ...why not splurge by pairing it with a warm donut once in while?

I had an egg and cheese sandwich, potatoes and a chocolate donut and everything was great. The folks working there were SO nice and I will absolutely be coming back with my husband. Loved the vibe here as well. Highly recommend

Old time diner feel with the built in swivel stools that my 3 year old loved. We waited on those while my sausage egg & cheese was being made. The women that worked there were very friendly. I just got the sandwich, but they had tempting treats in the cabinet that looked great also!

I can't believe that in all the years I've lived in Fairfield county that I've never been to coffee an donut! I stopped by here one Saturday morning after my hair appt and needing a quick treat. I opted for a chocolate frosted donut and it was delicious! There was a huge variety of donut and the staff was so friendly and patient as I looked around trying to figure out what I This is a cash only spot so be prepared! They also have room for breakfast and I'd definitely try that when I have more time.

Literally one of the best places on earth. The doughnuts aren't necessarily fancy, but a fancy doughnut is just a sign that the fundamentals aren't sound. If you want cereal and marshmallows and all sorts of junk on your doughnut, this is not the place! But if you're looking for that fried, crispy, crunch that makes a perfect doughnut, no place in the CT does it better than Coffee An'.

Love this place! Been around since I was a little kid, a total straight shot breakfast joint! Reminds me of a little town charm. I love getting a breakfast sandwich and home fries and just a black coffee. The counter is always super nice and the chocolate chip muffins are really good too.

Stopped here on a whim cause we were passing thru and saw that it had good reviews. Friendly enough service, but pricier donuts for a "hole in the wall" looking place. Pretty underwhelmed with the donuts. The plain old fashioned was dry and my boston cream was lacking in filling. Glad we tried it, but won't be back again.

Good food. Fair prices! Nice local favorite. Has nostalgia and history. I felt a community connection. This place was very cool.

Cute little shop selling not just donuts but also a variety of breakfast sandwiches. There's counter service, take away and a few tables in this tiny place to enjoy some good donuts, muffins and excellent egg and cheese sandwiches. But "cash only" is a buzz kill.

Not sure what you can write about a place as well known as this one. They have been around for a long time and they do a nice job for their niche. The morning egg sandwiches are good. They are not overstuffed so if you like a meaty sandwich then order double egg and double meat. You will pay extra for anything but a hard roll but they have nice croissants and beagles. The donuts are huge and well glazed so if you like big and sweet donuts you'll do fine. The apple turnovers are large. They close early I think at 2pm so normal lunches can happy here and the menu looks great. I hope to stop by for another look.

Quintessential small town breakfast spot. Walk in and instantly feel like you're a regular. Kind and very personable staff. Has a historic charm and best donuts around.

Iconic Westport tradition. Presidents (of both parties) love their donuts. Get there in the morning and get some Chocolate Frosted fresh from the fryers with molten centers....to die for. The best of the best of those rare local traditions that are fading away in towns across the country. Stop by, wait in line, bring cash, die in donut heaven!!

Classic donut shop, no frills, yummy yum yum. The glazed donut is just delish, big fan of the twists, cinnamon bun was cool...but I'd go back for more glazed and twist action. Coconut twist was yummy but a little sweet. All in all, just yummy donuts. Cash only!

WOW! We were passing through town on a family road trip and I was craving a chocolate donut. Stopped here and have a lovely experience! The woman who helped us was warm, friendly, and had a great sense of humor. The chocolate donuts were some of the best my family and I ever had. Great chocolate and the donut had a perfect crispness when you bit into it. Here's what we did: 1. Got donuts. 2. Drove down the road to Double L Market for gallon of raw milk. 3. Ate donuts and raw milk in parking lot. YUM!

For almost $6 these crullers were disappointing. One star taken away for getting the order wrong. I asked for a chocolate cruller and a coconut cruller, but got a twist one (plain and chocolate) instead. There was barely any chocolate, and the pasty was pretty dry. I was really looking forward to a chocolate treat for a long car ride ahead, and didn't realize their mistake until we were on the road. It was pretty busy so I didn't want to wait to get coffee, but the choices looked good. I had high hopes based on how the food looked, maybe I would give them a try on a weekday or come when they first open and the doughnuts are fresher.

My first five star. I'm sure there's a nostalgia scale that gave it a bump but whatever. It's awesome. It's home. It's quaint and local and the donuts are off the charts. Since we've been back in town I regularly grab breakfast, coffee and of course donuts. It's THAT place from that town you used to live in 30 years ago and in my case that town is Westport. BEC's are perfect and the staff could not be friendlier or more helpful. There's often lines down the sidewalk and they keep things moving with a smile. I would chain myself to the counter if they tried to close. Fact. Try the donuts and you'll be right there with me.

Been going here all my life and it's never disappointed. As authentic and old school as it comes. My favorite is the western omelette. But obviously all the donuts, breakfast items and sandwiches are great.

Get up early and make it here - the donuts will still be warm. My friend recommended it to me when I was staying with my parents during Covid. My most recent trip was this morning. Staff is so friendly and with it and donuts are next level delicious but if you want a suggestion their crullers are their can't miss item!

The best donuts on the planet! This place is an institution of sorts in the neighborhood. Horseshoe counter seats many having conversations across the shoe. Tables on the periphery allow for more privacy. Basic good food, a bit more pricey, but not much, and a friendly neighborhood experience. Get a coconut cruller and clear the deck for a carb coma to follow!

This is best small town eatery of all time. The bacon egg and cheese sandwiches are world class. The same folks have been working here with a smile for 30+ years. Coffee an Donuts will always have a special place in my heart. Thank you for keeping it real for all these years. PS I wrote my college essay about all the stores on this corner and what lessons they taught me growing up so, thanks for helping me get into school.

Best donuts anywhere!! Seriously. Super fresh and delicious. There is also an incredible selection. Their egg sandwiches are great, too. The staff is outstanding. One caveat: best to not go in when hungry or you'll use up your calorie count for the week.

delicious!! I've been looking for some solid donuts for a while now and this totally hit the spot! I'm not into the fancy donut craze- I love mom n pop shop type donuts that are the real thing.. this is right down my lane, yum! Heather(?) was nice enough to do curbside :). I got a cinnamon roll, coconut twist donut, glaze, chocolate cake, powdered donut and powdered raspberry jelly donut. My favorites were the powdered donut and glaze. I'll definitely be back, thanks!!

Coffee An has been serving the best homemade doughnuts for years. Even my niece who is a doughnut connoisseur rates them #1. We have visited as a family, shared the sweet treats and relished this original Westport family tradition! They have even been so kind as to open the doors a little ahead of time so commuters can get a coffee and doughnut to go! I love them.

Imagine the perfect, sleepy New England town. Now a place that is tucked away from the main road with its chain stores and busy traffic. You've arrived at the Coffe An' Donut. It's located in a small shopping plaza away from the business of Post Rd in Westport, CT. This small diner is family run and is famous for their amazing donut selection. They serve up breakfast and lunch (with a gyro special) until about 3 pm. Their donuts are so good that they sell out on weekend mornings and around mid day on the weekdays. You'll get a bit of nostalgia sitting down at a table or by the counter at this diner. The menu is written on a whiteboard and you get to watch the interaction between the kitchen and waitstaff unfold. Locals pop in and out to pick up to-go orders or take away donuts. My personal favorite is the coconut donut which is unlike anything you'll find. Forget about chain donuts, this is the only one for me. Othewise, they have the usually diner fare. For me, this place is all about the experience. Just love it.

A little of the old Westport. Coffee An' is a reminder of the delightful place Westport used to be, where the waitress knew your name and the owner wasn't some anonymous Chinese Corporation. Good food, incredible donuts and good service - though I do miss the previous semi-topless waitress who was a fixture for years. A little pricey, but good, honest food prepared and served by real people.

Donuts are by far the best around! Warm and fresh right out the oven. They lose a star from me on the terrible coffee (ironic considering their name) and for the fact they don't take credit cards, which is beyond inconvenient.

This place is sinfully delicious. On my first trip I got a glazed doughnut and a coconut doughnut and both were sinfully sweet and absolutely perfect. The coffee was also made excellently. As someone who takes their coffee black I can immediately taste a stale, bitter cup of coffee and the coffee here was fresh and piping hot! The staff is just as sweet as their doughnuts - so friendly, so kind and such a breath of fresh air if you're used to living in a city with a fast pace. This isn't a huge chain or a shop that's flashy. It's a hole in the wall, mom and pop shop with small town charm. It's not the kind of place where you'll want to set up your laptop, but it is the kind of place where you'll want to meet up with a friend or make a quick stop before or after heading to the shops in Westport. This place is such a nice treat and a great discovery! I can't wait to go back for a treat!

Even though I cannot eat any of the delectable donuts at Coffee An', I still love this place. The coffee is good and strong, and their cheese omelet is prepared just the way I like it -- thin, like a crepe, and filled with gooey white American cheese. Alas, until they discover a way to make delicious gluten free donuts, I'll have to make do with the fabulous smells of all the beautiful donuts and muffins in the bakery case.

Such nice people and such nice donuts! A great stop, very old-fashioned, very charming and you must try the chocolate donuts. The cake donuts are crispy on the outside and tender on the inside and not greasy like that chain that dominate around here. I didn't try any of the other food offerings but the coffee was spot on.

As soon as you walk in the friendly staff greets you as if you're a regular. They have a huge breakfast menu and some tasty muffins too. Hands down my favorite donut shop!

One star the lady refused donut for a crying toddler because we brought just a credit card we asked if we can bring money back they refused for $1.75!!! We left with a crying toddler very cruel!

This is my family's favorite place for breakfast. Whether you dine in or takeout you can't go wrong. They're super friendly, food is delicious, and the homemade donuts are the best. I highly recommend their breakfast sandwich which they'll do on either their regular roll, croissant or bagel - it's any easy breakfast to eat and drive!

How am I so confident that this place is a 5-star establishment? Simple: anytime I'm able to eat a donut elsewhere I think of this place and wish I could replace my would-be donut with a Coffee'An. Very nice people who work there, and solid lunch items, too.

There are places that are like an old sweatshirt: no matter what, it will always be the perfect fit. Coffee An' is exactly that kind of place. They're not trying to impress you with bizarre food combinations or gourmet espresso drinks-- it's a hole in the wall breakfast and lunch shop that will always, always be exactly the same as when you last left it. Today, I had the pleasure of experiencing Coffee An' for the first time. We ordered coffees, a cinnamon doughnut, a coconut cruller, corned beef has with eggs, and a spinach and feta omelet. As every single other review states: you come for the doughnuts. They are beyond amazing. To top it off, the omelets are perfectly, crepe-paper thing and just oozing with yumminess. The staff should also be applauded for being beyond friendly. Tables are close (only about 6 2-person tables in the restaurant with about 12 counter seats)-- so you get to casually inspect what other diners are ordering and strike up conversations around the general agreement that "these jelly donuts are so much better than anything I've ever tasted!" I can't wait to make this place a regular Sunday morning experience.

I so agree with Ronald S: I can't believe no one has commented on this place, which purveys the best donuts I have ever had (I do not include beignets and other specialty pastries in that comparison).
