Yelp
Surf-town vibes from this cozy, Aussie style coffee shop. The bestie and I dropped by for breakfast prior to a kayaking trip and savored every minute of our meal. Please note that while they try to stay faithful to the listed hours, at their core this is a side venture for some hardcore surfers.
Walking through the narrow cobblestone streets to find this cafe sets the stage. You'll probably see people in the window watching you before you notice that you've arrived. Ascend a few steps and you'll be greeted by a row of surfboards stacked against the wall. A barista may or may not greet you depending on if they're busy tending to other guests - find yourself a seat in the meantime, if you can. People are meant to come alone or in pairs, there's not much room for a big group unless you're incredibly lucky!
One of the baristas came over with menus and just as we were getting up to order as was stated on the menu, she came back and took our orders. Breakfast options range from acai bowls to toasts to smoothies, and they make some mean caffeine as well.
The food took a little while to arrive, but every bite is even more delightful than the vibrant color of the photos. You can tell each plate is crafted from scratch with fresh ingredients! The weakest part of the breakfast was the croissant, but still did not detract at all from the loveliness of the Avocado Toast. If I could make a breakfast as tasty as the Coffee and Waves crew, I'd have no reason to ever leave my house - but until then I'm a loyal fan!
