Google
Cute new coffee spot! I got a pastry and their matcha— they have a sweetened and unsweetened option, so make sure to ask if you like your tea strong! They also offer affogatos and a selection of soft drinks. The owner was there and he was really friendly and helpful.

Everything was great here! The owner was incredible, giving us great recommendations. The vegan muffins are delicious and not too sweet. The London fog is a must try! Kind, hospitable, and amazing. A hidden gem :)

Google
Small coffee store in the financial district serving good coffee and a shot of cheer. I went in on a slow Monday morning and had a lovely chat with the morning owner/barista. She is happy and attentive and obliged my finicky coffee request.

Google
Elite coffee, pastries to die for, wonderful service (Anki, you rock!), and useful outdoor seating make this a Financial District coffee gem!

Google
Delicious coffees, house-made syrups (if you come at the right time you might smell their rose and lavender syrups steeping!), excellent pastry, with the kindest barista and coffee enthusiast behind the counter! I felt so welcomed immediately, and it’s in such a charming little corner of the Financial District.

Me and my friends go here at least once a week. The owner is super cool and puts so much effort and care into each cup from the drink inside to the logo that is hand stamped on the cup. I usually don’t drink unsweetened coffee but the coffee here is so good I don’t need sugar. Would 100% recommend

All of the best lattes I’ve had in my life have been in this city, and this is probably in the top 3.

Yelp
Nice little coffee shop. Was hard to find from our hotel up the hill. Staff was very nice and coffee was prepared to our liking. They were out of pastries, but we kind enough to point us to a competing business across the street that would have pastries that late in the morning.

Yelp
Back when I was a FiDi working drone, I discovered the joys of Coffee Cultures at their Bush Street location, especially the idea of having a mid-afternoon soft serve cup. Then I was thrilled when they opened their more expensive SoMa location which was closer to me (review: https://bit.ly/3IlnVqd). However, the dicey corner of Mission and 10th sadly forced them to close, and I thought that was the end of my relationship with Coffee Cultures. Imagine my caffeine-fueled delight when I found this new location after a Chinatown stroll. I remembered owner Jason Michael Paul from the SoMa days, and he was here as the barista. I was tickled to see the soft-serve machine, but I demurred and ordered the $6 Matcha Latte (photo: https://bit.ly/3K0Mbis). It was just as satisfying as ever and not too sweet. Even though I'll have to compete with the local office drones, I'll definitely make the urban trek to come back. COFFEE - 5 stars...still among the best lattes in the city AMBIANCE - 4 stars...perfect fit for the FiDi populace SERVICE - 5 stars...Jason still got game TOTAL - 5 stars...worthy of rediscovery RELATED - Exploring the FiDi? Yelp
I've missed Coffee Cultures so much since they closed their Bush St location. Just recently discovered they're now on Montgomery (behind the Hilton). Their coffee is delicious but their pineapple dole whips are also so amazingly good!!

Yelp
I was recommended to try this place for my daily dose of cold brew. Now I am going here everyday on my way to work instead of Starbucks. Offering great coffee and amazing service, I highly recommend you give them a try if you have not already!

Yelp
TLDR: New hole in the wall coffee shop right next to the Transamerica Pyramid. Tiny store but has coffee, pastries, and pre-packaged to-go food / drink items. Limited selection but has most things you'd want/need. FOOD: - GET THIS: Chocolate peppermint cookie (5/5): Thick chocolate cookie with chocolate chips inside, crushed peppermint on top, and extra chocolate drizzled on top of everything. Was big (a little bigger than my palm) and soft but held its shape. I'd imagine it would taste amazing too if you popped it in the microwave for 10 seconds. The chocolate chips inside were SO good. Perfect holiday treat. $3. - Apple lemon danish (3/5): Danish with lemon jam in the center and apple slices baked on top, all topped with powdered sugar. I thought it was good, but the pastry tasted a little stale and wasn't flaky (which I kind of get, given they opened at 7 am and I stopped by at the end of their day around 1:45 pm). I wasn't a huge fan of the lemon and apple flavor either even though I love lemon desserts, but it still wasn't bad. I think would have tasted better if I had gotten it fresh in the morning. $4.50. - They also had several other items such as a savory scone that I want to try as well. SERVICE: Jeanette, who was working the register today, was really nice to me and left a really good impression. I'll be coming back to try some other thingsa

Yelp
The cookie was dry and pretty sweet. The coffee on the other hand, was just delicious. I got a matcha lavender latte, not my personal favorite. But the rose latte was AMAZING. It was smooth and if you don't get it with sugar, it's perfect. The art is always cute!!

Yelp
Yay a good place to get a legit Dirty Chai Latte in the FiDi! This morning I was about to pay like $9 for a small at Starbucks, to modify their recipe enough in an attempt to make it halfway palatable, but then I decided to just check and see if any new places opened in the area and sure enough, one did! I passed by the Mission Street Coffee Cultures location quite a bit (which I believe is now closed) and when I took a look at their website and saw that the owner and flagship store are based in Alameda, I was sold. Not sure how many ounces this cup is, but it's much larger than a small (tall - eye roll) at SBucks and was actually cheaper before tip, at $7.50. The Chai Latte is just $4.50 and then the substitution for almond milk was $1 and each shot of espresso was $1, so that's how we got to $7.50. Worth every penny! I asked the barista to make it less sweet and they said that their Chai is a pre-blend with sweetener, so they can't alter that, but they assured me that it was not too sweet. I found to to be pretty much spot-on and really enjoyed it. Coffee Cultures is located right on the corner of Montgomery and Washington, it's very tiny, so don't miss it! You pass by the lobby of 655 Montgomery and then as you come around the corner, CC is right there. They have a nicely curated selection of other offerings in their tiny store: fresh squeezed OJ, a delectable-looking pastry case, several different Juice Shop brand pressed juices (in cans - didn't know Juice Shop did that, cool!) bottled coconut water and a variety of canned tea drinks called Sparkling Botanicals, which all sounded delicious. They also sell a couple different types of small countertop coffee makers, bags of whole beans, and they have soft serve machine!! Saving the best for last though, CC sells bags of house-made DOG TREATS!!! NGL, that bag of dog treats made my heart go pitter-patter - IYKYK, Alameda is a dog destination, so of course this proprietor wouldn't forget about our little furry friends :)

Yelp
Excellent coffee and extremely helpful and knowledgeable barista! I love supporting smaller coffee shops, and this one offers amazing single origin options!

Yelp
Everyone has been so friendly every time I've come here! It's one of the only places that has a lavender matcha latte on the menu which I LOVE. Their matcha and lavender flavor is really good. Every time I come here the people working are very friendly and it's a great place to stop by for a quick caffeine fix before or during work.

Michelle M.

Yelp
I'm not a coffee drinker, so I hesitated going in for tea. But the barista answered confidently when I asked her if she can make a London fog. It did not turn out well. After thinking about it, I decided to contact Coffee Cultures. Here's Jason's reply... "We are coffee cultures for a reason. Tea is an afterthought. Be well. Sent by Jason Michael Paul" Avoid this place if you expect good service, especially for the price.

Andrew S.

Yelp
Great new coffee place in the financial district- highly recommended. Cold brew is solid and the owner is very friendly

JJ O.

Yelp
Jason is awesome and he makes the nectar of the gods. The conversation and the cuppa were just what I needed when I came through.
