Coffee Shop Sleepy Bear

The place is nice and cozy. You have plugs if you want to stay in and work. The music is nice, helps you not get bored and stay focused.

Compared to other specialty coffee shops in Lausanne not my favourite, flat white was too acidic for my taste and the atmosphere a bit weird due to the layout of the place (long corridor in the middle of a rather residential courtyard). Staff is very nice though, and the spots by the window nice to stay a bit and work (laptops are accepted).

Sleepy Bear Coffee was the first specialty coffee shop in Lausanne. It is a very cosy café with very delicious specialty coffee. The service and the hospitality level is truly outstanding, I have been treated every time so nicely. It feels like walking into my living room and meeting friends. Besides the amazing coffees, you should also try the banana bread and definitely also the artisanal chocolate. It blew me away last time. A totally outstanding experience.

Coffee itself was great as usual although the milk was not frothed that well this time. Maybe varies by the barista. Unfortunately, the matcha (latte) was probably the worst I’ve ever had - not bright in colour, a dirty green, and tasted old. Especially for the price I was expecting a fresher batch.

Little coffee shop serving good coffee. The atmosphere is nice. However, there are seated for only a handful of people(not all seats are pictured). I went there to study a bit for uni. I put 4/5 because the Cappuccino (very good) was quite expensive 5,50.- CHF . Otherwise the Batista was friendly.

Delicious specialty coffee, we really enjoyed our flat white and the pastry ( banana bread and pain au chocolat). Very friendly atmosphere, we had a lovely time here. If you’re looking for a great way to start your day, this is the place to be.

Best place for a quick breakfast with freshly baked pastries and coffee on a raining (or not) morning. Situated very close to the Lausanne train station.

Great coffee shop with a lot of options and delicious carrot cake. The staff is very friendly, polite, and attentive. It is a small coffee shop with good ambiance. I really recommend it! :-) Just it could open until the end of the afternoon so we can enjoy more.

I came here to early around 9:45 am to grab some coffee and pastries. I got a carrot cake and banana bread with some lattes. As my order was to go, I didn't find out until later how stale the carrot cake and banana bread was. I ended up throwing them. The coffee want the best either. I wouldn't recommend this overpriced, low quality food to anyone

What an adorable little coffee shop Sleep Bear is. Star 1: How were the service and atmosphere? Coffee Shop Sleepy Bear is a one woman show, but she does an amazing job in what is a genuinely excellent cozy atmosphere tucked away in a good location. Service is quick even when traffic starts moving. Star. Star 2: How were the portions relative to the cost? 6,00 CHF for a cappuccino is maybe surprisingly reasonable for Lausanne, and every other menu item was equally reasonable on the price scale. Star. Stars 3 and 4: How was the food? This was a good cappuccino, and while I would have loved for there to be a little bear design in the mix it went nicely with the homemade granola bar that I paired it with. Single Star. Star 5: Would you be excited to go back? Absolutely. Star.

Fantastic coffee and espresso drinks. Outstanding locally roasted single origin beans and a passion for great coffee. Best in the region and possibly all of Switzerland!

I'm not one to review places on here ever, but I'm visiting Lausanne and found this place didn't have a Yelp entry (apparently they opened less than a week ago). Anyway, the point of the review is to let you know that they make incredible coffee! I've tried both the espresso roast they have on offer this week and they are impeccable. Come here if you want good coffee.
