Coffee Under Pressure | speciality coffee & tea (7 Blagrave street)

Not the best coffee, had a flat white on guest espresso, flavour doesn’t punch at all. Bakes were bit stale, everything is served in paper cups.. even when you’re staying in, There are no toilets too which is something to keep in mind.

Five stars! Today was my first visit to Coffee Under Pressure, and I’ll definitely be back. I went there to study, and the environment was perfect—strong Wi-Fi, great coffee, and fresh pastries. What truly made my visit stand out was the amazing customer service. Patricia was so warm and welcoming, which made the experience even better. Just a small note for the management: I’d love it if plates and ceramic cups were provided for dine-in customers. It would add to the already great atmosphere!

One of the best coffee shops in Reading! The coffee is absolutely delicious—rich, smooth, and perfectly made. The staff are incredibly friendly and welcoming, which makes the experience even better. Highly recommended for anyone looking for great coffee and great service!

There is definitely no shortage in the options for the discerning coffee connisuer at this establishment. I went for a mocha, not realising there are 6 options, milk 45%, dark 70%, white 30%, gingerbread, dark spice and rum & salted caramel. There was only one that I wanted and that's the dark! The right choice. Exquisite chocolately flavours came through the coffee so well, it'll keep me going for the whole day.

After looking on maps here for a matcha latte and not finding anywhere worth the visit, I fortunately stumbled across this place and as it turns out, they do a matcha latte! Tastes very nice too. Staff were lovely, I came in and asked if they had any croissants, they had none but some were baking. When they were ready, the staff came over to me but I was on the phone so she signalled if I want one, I gave a thumbs up and she came back with a fresh warm croissant and the contactless payment which in my opinion was great customer service. I’ll be returning here, that’s for sure.

Coffee was good, but they also offer some nice food as well. Unfortunately, we enjoyed it all so much I only have one picture before everything was devoured. The coffee was well brewed and prepared and tasted very nice, more chocolate flavours than fruity. The spinach pie was very nice but would have been better hot, we didn't get an option to have it heated. Finally the chocolate snack (not sure what it was) but think a kinder Bueno with sesame and you wouldn't go far wrong was excellent. I ate two of these and didn't regret it.

Very pleasant coffee shop opposite Town Hall. If you go for the mocha you have the option of additional chocolate. Does give you a sugar rush. We also had Greek pastries. There is outside seating which we took advantage of. Coffee is served in eco friendly cups and pastries come in paper bags which you use as makeshift plates. Saves the washing up. Worth a visit as it's a great alternative to the many so so chains we have in the town..

The coffee and spinach pie were tasty, but getting served in a paper bag and disposable cup, while dining in was a bit of a miss.

This is a great place to get your coffee fix in the morning. Staff is super friendly and the coffee is amazing. If you do get there early, grab a spanakopita or a bougatsa, they're normally freshly baked and still warm by 9:00 am.
