Google
A great spot for on the go coffee! Although Coffeewerk + Press is a small space, they sure give you a full above and beyond experience of coffee. I certainly recommend visiting Coffeewerk + Press.

Google
My favorite coffee shop in Galway. I always wander around to different coffee places when I go to a new city and inevitably return to my favorite one. We were in Galway for just a couple of days and I came back multiple times and brought my family with me. I got to enjoy my last coffee there this morning. Thanks Emilia and Sonny; apologies I didn’t get the names of the other two men who were in the shop yesterday. Lovely shop, very friendly and kind, and delicious coffee.

Google
I work in specialty coffee in the United States, so I was super stoked to visit this cafe in our quick stay in Galway. After reading many reviews it’s easy to see why. Although it was a busy afternoon the staff was very kind and our drinks came out fairly quick. The most solid capp I had while in Ireland! The only regret is that we didn’t know there was extra seating upstairs, we definitely would have stayed longer. This is a must stop for all coffee people!

Google
Amazing coffee, must see if you’re visiting Galway! Stopped twice on my trip and got a cappuccino and chai, both were delicious. The shop is small and there is a bit of a line most times but very worth the wait. Grab a coffee and walk down to the pier!!

Google
I’ve visited this shop many times over the years, and the coffee never disappoints—it’s always spectacular! My go-to order is the organic chai with oat milk, which is absolutely delicious. The shop also carries the cutest postcards and a charming selection of other little items that make browsing a joy. The women at the front are always incredibly warm and welcoming, creating such a lovely atmosphere. This spot is an absolute gem—don’t miss it!

Google
I was happy to see 3 options for pour over and a decent amount of retail, some of which were high quality beans. But disappointed to receive my sit in coffee in a takeaway cup. I ordered a pour over and the fact it was served in a paper cup ruined it. You wouldn't serve good wine in a plastic disposable cup! My partner rates the flat white with oatmilk though. The decor of the place is very nice and artistic, also a good central location. The folk working had no chat either unfortunately. Lots of room for improvement but huge potential.

Google
Excellent coffee with modern flair. This small shop is if Anthropologie had a Scandi style coffee shop. Some nice books, postcards, etc for retail. It was busy when we went and service is efficient. They don’t rush, so expect to wait the proper time if orders are ahead of you. Everything is in a cute takeaway cup. Small upstairs and outdoor seating area, not a lot of space to linger.

Google
I absolutely loved this cafe! The coffee is amazing, definitely one of the best I’ve had in Galway. The design is stunning—modern, stylish, and creates such a cozy and welcoming atmosphere.

Yelp
This has always been a spot Meghann has enjoyed stopping when visiting Galway. The cafe is absolutely beautiful with multiple seating options to overlook a very popular area. The drinks are well crafted, there is plenty of art to admire, and it faces towards the west so it is always filled with warm sunlight. We highly recommend this cafe on your next visit to Galway!

Yelp
Coffeewerk was one of our favorite finds in Galway! It's right along the Latin Quarter shopping strip. The coffee is quality and delicious! There is no indoor seating, but a few tables outside to sit. They sell local art and products. The baristas were friendly and recognized us after we visited 2x in a day. Definitely drop in for your coffee when in Galway!

Yelp
Such an adorable little coffee shop in Galway!!! We stopped in to grab coffee on our way out town and spent some time here. They also have prints and arts so I got the cutest post cards from here. I just got a latte which was simple and delicious but someone else with me got a hot chocolate which looked amazing. Such a cute little shop that you have to stop in. Staff was all super nice and friendly and just good vibes all around.

Yelp
Amazing coffee in the heart of Galway! We stopped by to grab a cappuccino before our road trip to Cliffs of Moher. The barista was friendly and produced such a delicious tasting cup of cappuccino. The coffee beans used were high quality and definitely had a strong caffeine effect. This cup helped us pull the all nighter we needed!

Yelp
This place knows it's coffee. I've had a lot of cappuccinos in my life and this is up there with the best of them. Silky smooth foam along with very espresso that has a nice medium roast with a nutty hint to it. Amazing. The cafe itself is cute. Has a lot of little nicks and knacks from local artists. The leather aprons on the baristas made me think I was in Brooklyn for a second. Worth a stop to get your caffeine fix.

Yelp
Enjoyed tea to go as I was on a tour and had a couple more minutes to spare. Super cute shop with multiple floors and seating area. Wasn't able to go to the gallery, but would be something to check out if I had more time!

Yelp
Passed through looking for a quick coffee shop and found a gem. One of the best chais I've had in my life. Baristas are super hospitable and the environment is unlike any other. Great spot.

Yelp
I was telling a co-worker here in Vancouver about things I was missing from home, & this place came up in conversation so it's why I'm leaving a small review now. I used to live in the city and would come here on my days off or before I would start work. Stopping at Coffeewerk + Press would genuinely lift my day. Whether it had been days or months since stopping in, the staff were always super welcoming & the vibe was always relaxed. Some of my favourite memories come from having a coffee with some friends here. The only negative thing about this place is that the thought of it fuels my homesickness regularly - I'm really looking forward to coming home next year so I can stop by, and it'll probably be better than how I remember it now. Highly recommend to anyone who finds themselves nearby.

Yelp
Seven years later. And back with our addition. Just as good! So happy to find this establishment still available post pandemic. Worth the stop. Amongst the tourist establishments this is anything but run of the mill.

Yelp
Was recommended to check this place out. Did not disappoint. Got the flat white. Great service. Located next to a lot of fun bars/restaurants/stores.

Yelp
Superb Sweedish? Espresso and best coffee drinks we had while in Galway, Ireland, and certainly up there with my favorites of all time. The coffee shop is small, modern and hip, located in the charming Latin quarter of Galway, a quaint seaside town and vacation getaway for the Irish and tourists alike. The espresso pours were perfection, the coffee grounds for each shot were hand weighed by a counter scale before brewing, the steamed oat milk here was creamy and divine. Wished I brought some of the coffee beans and milk back with me to the states. Loved the cool stationary and pens, they had a store upstairs as well. We bought some beautiful postcards of Galway which we will frame. They had a large selection of artistic postcards on heavy textured card stock-not the glossy toursit shop variety of postcards. Definitely worth a stop.

Yelp
Lovely coffee & people! The barista was so kind & fun to talk to! The atmosphere is so cute & inviting- loved my experience here!!

Yelp
This has to be the most picture perfect coffee shop in the world. It combines many varieties of different coffees and pours with really knowledgeable and friendly staff. they also have a shop/art gallery there too which really just makes the whole vibe warm and inviting. They also have the best little take away cups with a sketch of the shop on it.

Yelp
4 stars for this teeny tiny, cute coffee shop in the Latin Quarter. My friend and I were exploring the streets of Galway and were in need of a mid-day pick me up when we stumbled upon Coffeewerk & Press. The space is very, very small and made specifically for ordering to go. After you've ordered your coffee you can browse through all the artwork and cute paper products that they have for sale. I had a really great time looking through the postcards which were all designed by local artists. They also have cool little trinkets for sale like mini puzzles, waterbottles, and more. As for their coffee, they make everything fresh right in front of you. You can choose from a variety of different coffees - they've got a big list for you to look through. I kept it simple and got a small soy latte. It came in a teeny tiny cup with local artwork on the front. The coffee was delicious and hit the spot perfectly. If you need a quick pick me up, definitely swing through this spot.

Yelp
American Tourist/Covid Times 2021 Review: Exactly how it looks in pictures - minimalist, modern hipster, welcoming & picturesque. Soy latte (2 espresso shots) was solid & also loved the post card art they had to offer. Contactless payment (however does not accept American Express) & outdoor seating available.

Yelp
loved the coffee here, it was very full bodied and rich, a hundred times better than the bitter watered down coffee you get in chains like Costa and Nero. The cafe is small but has a quirky feel to it with a nice art gallery and some seating upstairs. They also sell a few nice books and card games too. Overall the coffee was excellent but the price was higher than normal, about €3 for an Americano. Also they serve in paper cups even if you sit in.

Yelp
We stopped by after eating across the way and thoroughly enjoyed perusing this shop. We ended up overpaying for a couple small things, but the fiancee was happy so it was worth it. The post cards here are great and we held on to the paper coffee cup for a while because it was too cute to throw out.

Yelp
LOVED this coffee/concept shop. Excellent coffee/flat whites served in neat little paper cups. (Would love it even more if they offered mugs ;), but I get there are only tables outdoors.) The shop sells artwork and other cool things, with more upstairs. We ended up purchasing a few. The shop is located on the main drag in Galway, so super crowded. They don't have seating inside, unless you bring your coffee upstairs and sit in the windows (also nice.) We got lucky and grabbed a table outside. Definitely stop in while in town!

Yelp
Very cool & trendy 3rd wave coffee shop. A nice surprise that we enjoyed a lot when we passed by Galway on our Ireland visit. Coffee Collective is served and well done too. You can also purchase items such as chocolate, watches, etc. They also have a second floor.

Yelp
This was definitely my favourite coffee shop in Galway. When we got in the girl inside welcomed us and was really nice, she took our order and since we were having a look at some of the prints they had downstairs, she let us know there was also a shop section upstairs. We took our coffees upstairs and were quite surprised to find a really cool and quirky showroom area with a lot of design products - lamps, prints, bags and various objects. We spent some time having a look at the gallery while enjoying the really good coffee. Loved the whole chilled/cool/arty vibe of this place. Really cute coffee shop, great coffee, super friendly staff..will definitely pop in next time I visit Galway.

Yelp
The shop itself is really cool an modern, with lots of cute things to purchase. As far as the coffee goes I thought my pour over was a little small and weak considering it was 4 Euros. My boyfriends flat white was probably a little better, so maybe grab the espresso based drinks instead. Otherwise I did enjoy that there was somewhere to grab a more thoughtful cup of coffee in Galway.

Yelp
Really cute, tiny little shop on the main street in Galway where you can stop and have a little people watch and a cuppa. The coffee is really good here, particularly the cappuccino. They also have some nice healthy treats, delicious cookies and some lovely gifts inside the window to tempt you. My mam also managed to spill some coffee on her white pants and the girl inside was so good to get some cold water and make sure that she got the stain out, even coming out afterwards to our seating outside to make sure she didn't need anything else. I really love that kind of service! I will say there isn't a lot of seating, so you're a bit stuck unless you get lucky.

Yelp
You must stop here for coffee! A delicious latte with a pretty flower design in the foam. The barista takes his time with the prep AND and the brewing....SO GOOD. The vibe is cool, calm and trendy without being pretentious. 3 nice bright floors to explore prints and postcards - a special find in the heart of downtown busy Galway. Take your time, sit, relax, sip :)

Yelp
This is THE best coffee shop I've ever been to, and I've been an intense coffee connoisseur for years while traveling to many parts of the world. Ambiance, service, coffee, & baked goods are always on point.
google avatar

Kendall K.

Yelp
This is the best coffee shop I've been to in a while! The atmosphere is calm, bright, and clean with amazing little local trinkets. I ordered an oat milk latte to go and a vegan + gluten free (no sugar added) peanut butter raspberry brownie...INCREDIBLE. I also couldn't leave the shop without one of their locally made Galway prints and some Irish chocolate. I wish I could teleport here daily!

Yelp
The coffee is so overpriced for the small portion. Cool place inside, but really nowhere to sit like other cafes. Feels like a tourist scam. The coffee wasn't hot, but it did taste good.

Yelp
Best coffee in Galway. Minimalist coffee house serving direct trade beans and ethical trading. Unfortunately, being COVID it is takeaway only due to the small shop size. They have an adorable Scandi influenced area to sit (albeit small) with a lovely curated mini design shop selling upscale home wares and expensive but beautiful items like Japanese match incense. Very beautiful, minimalist design books to read while you sit (some might feel they are overly arty/pretentious especially in humble Galway). I particularly love going here on a rainy day. The seating is minimal and not the most comfy however, and I felt I was kind of imposing being therefor more than 10 min since there's such limited seating. With such gorgeous coffee and relaxing decor it's definitely got something special going. Post COVID if this place were to have more typical (even small) tables and cozy nooks to relax a bit more I could see myself there multiple times a week.

Yelp
Boutique coffee shop in the heart of Galway. Not only do they serve amazing coffee beverages, there is a host of cute crafts and gifts. It is a great spot if grab a coffee and browse through the upper floors. Although the drinks are slightly more expensive than other locations, the quality and the service are well worth it.

Yelp
I was walking the city with a wonderful musician and we were looking for a place to take some pictures. We stopped to get a cup of coffee first. I was told this was the best coffee in Galway. Frankly, it was the best coffee that I have had in all of Ireland. They were on a first name basis with my friend, and we took our coffee in an upstairs design room that proved to be a wonderful setting for pictures as well.

Melissa B.

Yelp
Cutest coffee shop in Galway!! Really great atmosphere and amazing coffee too. Will definitely go back.
google avatar

Kellen F.

Yelp
Sometimes it's hard to distinguish a "place that serves coffee" from a real cafe. Coffeewerk is definitely the latter with a few small bites in the morning, excellent coffees, and a boutique-y selection of brewing equipment and art. If you're looking for tasty espresso, well textured milk, or a true made-to-order pour over, definitely give this place a try.
google avatar

Craig G.

Yelp
Tremendous third wave coffee in a 17th century alley. Step off the stone pedestrian road into a warm, artistic, welcoming pour-over and espresso house. The blends are pure and the coffee well cared over. Highly recommend this town-center coffee.
google avatar

Aly D.

Yelp
Quaint little coffee shop that serves great coffee. The interior's clean, simple. Service was alright. Could have more seating though. Will always come back whenever I'm in Galway. The design of the cups are cute as well!
google avatar

Henry G.

Yelp
Great coffee in a lovely spot. Super selection of takeaway beans along with a spot on cup. Visited several times and always consistent. Lovely place to relax upstairs.
google avatar

Daisy R.

Yelp
The coffee was good, the service was great but there isn't much space to sit and there is no bathroom!!! Otherwise I would have given 5 stars.

Jason L.

Yelp
Excellent coffee, meticulously prepared (we ordered two mochas) with beautiful latte art. The shop is also beautiful inside with all sorts of cool items and art for sale.

Maia H.

Yelp
Love this place! One of the best cappuccinos I have ever had! They also sell fabulous little gift items inside and they also have an outside seating area with blankets in case it gets cold :)
