Coffi Co Mermaid Quay

Slightly pricier than some cafes but the view on a clear day and location makes it worth it. The cakes are lovely and so are the drinks. Plenty of options. Some real customer service would be nice though! I wasn't a fan of seeing elderly couples struggle to use the self order screens infront of me when 2-3 staff were doing nothing really and could have taken our orders at the till.

Only went for coffee but ended up having lunch and stayed all afternoon, lovely staff and great food, why go anywhere else. Will definitely go back , highly recommend

Excellent location overlooking the bay. Unfortunately that's where anything positive ends. On the day we visited the cafe was extremely busy- that's not a problem except any available tables were left dirty and needed clearing. Having cleared one ourselves I ventured to join the large queue to order. Gave up, collected my family and headed to the adjacent Greggs when I heard the customer at the front being told it was 20 minutes wait just on drinks alone as they only had two staff working that day.

Super place for a drink and grub. Situated right on the marina so a great view as you eat the superb food...

Lovely spot at Cardiff Bay. Magical views as it’s all glass. Staff not very friendly if you don’t know how it works. It was our first time so we sort of stood there trying to figure out if we would be seated or not. The guy at the counter kept organizing stuff without looking up to make eye contact. I had to go up to him finally and ask and then we sat. The food was delicious once we got past that.

Awful - ordered a couple of soft drinks had a bitter after taste as if it hadn’t been washed out and saw bits floating inside. Had to fight to get our table wiped down and the bloke went to wipe another table when I asked for ours to be wiped and had to ask him again to come over to our table. He wiped it with a barely damp piece of blue roll and I could still feel a sticky cast on the table. Then I came to the shocking realisation that the discolouration on top of the metal table top was a thick layer of pure dirt as you can see. I scratched away and it was literally gunked up dirt and came off with a simple scratch. If I can give them some advice a soft metal scourer and some bar keepers friend would sort that out instantly. I literally never complain and have a long history of hospitality work so I know how hard it can be and try to focus my efforts on positive reviews. I know what it’s like in hospitality when it gets busy but there were literally 3 tables in there when I sat down it’s just embarrassing that they couldn’t pull their finger out. I was actually disgusted and I just wanted to leave. The staff attitudes were so blasé and came off lazy and unbothered. They were spending more time talking and aimlessly wandering than doing anything. From working in that industry since I was 16 (now 27) I can safety say there is literally always something to restock deep clean or wipe down. Please do better as the Wetherspoons over the road is crushing it, you have no excuse - went to spoons the day before and they were giving rapid and friendly service and they wiped down a dirty table for us so we could sit down outside and kept coming back to clear plates as we had loads of people ordering food at different times. It’s a cost of living crisis and going out even for a quick coffee is now a luxury for most people so don’t waste your money here.

Best iced latte..service friendly and efficient. Good views towards Cardiff Bay. Plenty indoor/outdoor seating available
