I am glad I came, saw and took pictures - we took the time to read all that was on display and discuss the history with our son. Some attention to detail is needed, the glass cabinets are not clear and some areas do need renewing. We love Vietnam and respect the history, plus I love the visuals/symbolism.

This is a wonderful place for fans of dusty museums! You can get acquainted with both nature and history of Vietnam, and also look from the roof at the city and the sea. It seems that there used to be a cafe on the roof - we wish for the speedy restoration of this option :). Our trip to Phu Quoc would not be complete without this museum!

Great experience, a mish-mash of everything but fun to see. More explanations in English would be great, as interesting as the exhibits were it was hard to know what we were seeing... what were the bones from? Why were the pots and plates of interest, how old were they and where did they come from, etc. Support this museum if you get here, you can see that funds are desperately needed for repairs to this amazing building and to assist staffing that would result in cleaner exhibit cases. 50,000 dong is really cheap for this experience. Well done to the curators!

it could become a nice museum but it was left unattended for many years... dusty shelves and dusty items.. actually, I liked fotoes better than the original things PS there were not original items from stone age - why did you claim so? any professional can catch you

Very little unbiased history in this museum. The exhibits are completely falling apart. It is fun to walk up floor after floor and see what is on offer and enjoy the views.

Despite neglect and decay (see reviews), this museum is highly recommended. The extensive collection and information about the nature and history of Phu Quoc certainly deserves more attention. In my opinion, 50K is not too much for an entertaining and interesting further education with a beautiful view.

Didn't get a chance to actually go in because they did not have time. But was just looking at it from the outside. Beautiful looking building. Read some other comments about how there's something special on just a bunch of old stuff. I think that person missed the point of what a museum is lol. But if you are in the area at the right time with the sun shining weight on it, it makes for a beautiful picture.

Just look for lowest reviews and you see how dirty this place is. You have to pay 50k to enter, totally doesn’t worth it. Just stay outside, it looks way better from there.
