The Best Kosher Restaurants In NYC - New York - The Infatuation

"A New York stalwart for well over 30 years, Colbeh’s claim to fame goes beyond their excellent kosher menu - this place also makes some of the best Persian food in the city. With two other locations on Long Island - one in Great Neck and the other in Roslyn - Colbeh caters to the large Iranian population that calls New York home and has landed itself a slew of other fans that crave the tender, juicy kabobs (get a king combination to try a variety of them) and the extraordinary tahdig. Make sure to slather the latter in either ghormeh sabzi (an herbed stew) or khoresh lapeh (a red split pea stew)." - Anna Rahmanan

4.5 STARS is what I would overall rate this place. I'd never been and the waitress was pretty unhelpful and unenthusiastic about the menu and helping pick something out. It is a little pricey but the portions are huge. There was so much food and tons to take home.i got the lamb which was good. The only thing I didn't really care for was the tomato, cucumber salad. They put, I think cilantro in it and it just wasn't very tasty. I'd definitely go back though.

We went for a family dinner and had a great dining experience. The service was friendly and prompt and the food was excellent. If you want great food, large portions and fair prices, this is the place to go for kosher middle eastern.

Great place for kabob entrees. It is a bit pricey, seconded to steak and seafood restaurants. I recommend trying the place only when your company is picking up the tab. A typical entree averages about $35 a plate, not including drinks nor appetizers. The environment is a bit fancy and sure to impress your guests. The food is tasteful, but then again most restaurants in nyc midtown are.

My favorite Kosher restaurant! I've been going there for decades and they never disappoint! Fresh delicious shish kabobs, Persian rice in many varieties, out of this world sea bass kabob's. Fabulous friendly service. Huge portions ! The best!

Eating there is 200% much better than catering,i did a party using them the falafel, the sausage on a blanket were really overcooked all brown and the chicken kebab was so salty . the rest was perfect Maybe i should try again or supervise the delivery

Pretty average all around. Good rice but the shirazi was sloppily diced with lots of uneven sized pieces and was barely dressed. The boneless chicken kabob was definitely on the drier side
