Colca Inn Hotel

AVOID THIS PLACE! Is SUPER cold in the rooms. Our electric heating was not warming enough, we asked 3 times to change it and nobody came. At the end the guard said they don’t have more. No service at all. After 5 hours of heating on. The room was slightly warmer. Because you rent room does not make you an hotel. We have been here with WEROAD and we will ask to remove this hotel from the places to stay. Good luck Colca Inn Hotel.

We stayed here as part of a tour. Makes the tour company look bad and I wouldn't recommend staying here (I generally don't write negative reviews).||Great location close to shops and restaurants but that's where the positives stop.||Don't bother having the breakfast, even if it's included. We were told ours would be ready at 5:30am so we could be on time for our tour. Breakfast consisted of half a scrambled egg each and a piece of bread with butter (no jam/marmalade, no fruit, no cereal). As someone who can't eat bread, I went off with half an egg for breakfast and it took 20 minutes for them to make it so we were almost late for our tour! I see from other reviews that this is generally the case.||Rooms have windows to a common area and don't keep the noise out so our room was very noisy. People were also smoking in the common area so smoke came into our room.||Room didn't feel very clean and we were given two single beds when we specifically asked for a double.||No wifi in the room.||Hot water takes ages to come through but it did eventually work for us.||We asked to borrow some towels for the hot springs and were told to use the ones for our shower.||They have a pool table... sad thing is there is hardly any space around it so you have to point the cue end up to the ceiling to play on some sides. There are five cues... only one has a tip so you only have the one to play with. And there is no chalk. So in other words, don't waste your time!||I wouldn't stay here again and it is more like poor quality hostel accommodation (I've stayed in a number of hostels in Peru and this is one of the worst). Not value for money.

To see an alpaca coming into the hotel foyer was the best thing about this place. ||It's a large hotel and with another Intrepid group in there it was cosy. Not sure why they would people in the rooms on the road when there is a fair across the road that is quite nosiy.||Wifi was okay but really only in the foyer.||Breakfast was simple fare and tasty.||Staff were helpful.||Rooms had the basics and comfortable. Others found it cold the time we were there but plenty of blankets were supplied.||There is a billiard table downstairs which was good to use.||Not far from the town square or the market so it's nice and central. Restaurants are also nearby.

We stayed there as part of a booked 2d/1n stay for the Colca Cañon. We asked for a 3 star hotel. It was oke. Not luxurious but sufficient just to stay overnight. Walking distant to the main plaza. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Heater in the room. And when asked for a hairdryer, the staff was within 5 minutes at the door with it. |Breakfast was oke. Basic with egg and bread. It was served on time (5.30 am), so we could eat breakfast before we were picked up to continue the tour.

Do not consider that this hostel may have few reviews. It opened in May 2019, so it could be normal. |However it is perfect: |perfect location close to the main square, |Great rooms: big, super clean and with heather included in the price and you will need it if you visit chivay in August. |Hot shower which is not so common in Chivay even if at night you could reach under zero temperatures in August. |The girls are really nice and helpful, amazing to deal with.|They have laundry service|Definitely I recommend this place if you visit Chivay!

Employees helpful and friendly! Have to start with that. The style is old but appealing. No elevator. Located close to the main square.|Rooms large enough. Matresses in our room where downright bad. Bathroom small and to get into the shower you allmost have to climb go get in. Single glass windows to the corridor = noisy = annoying when neighbours snore. Small ourside window.|Breakfast was ok. |So all in all 1 night is enough.

Very cheap Inn. Also very good location! A lot of restaurants and shops you can walk there. The room was clean too. Wifi signal was not strong but good enough. Shower was perfect too. Only downside was breakfast! It is not a buffet style but you have to wait until they serve something. Only egg and bread.
