5 Speakeasies Hidden in Hotel Rooms - AFAR

"A holiday-themed speakeasy hidden behind a third-floor hotel room door, accessed after receiving a keychain and being escorted from the front desk. The intimate space is cozily decorated for the season with candy-cane pillows and shimmering baubles, and features a snug cocktail bar tucked toward the back, creating a surprise, storytelling-driven experience that delights both guests and locals." - Matt Kirouac

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ My stay at the Colcord Hotel in Oklahoma was truly exceptional! The staff were incredibly professional and friendly, and the valet service was seamless. The rooms are extremely spacious, spotless, and comfortable—I felt right at home. I’ve stayed at hotels in Florida, New York, California, and Chicago, and none compare to the experience I had here. The level of hospitality and attention to detail at the Colcord Hotel sets it apart. I can’t wait to stay here again!

I stayed here last summer when I was looking for a new place. I was having severe allergies due to health issues at the time . I had called ahead to inform them of my symptoms and allergies acting up so badly. They were so kind to me! The front desk went back and personally inspected my room for me before I arrived. Because my health wasn’t the greatest at that time, and I was dealing with so much stress and trying to find a place, I’m sure I looked crazy as ever. But the staff was so kind to me. Everyone was accommodating and polite and helpful. It was actually quite affordable compared to most hotels and on top of that, especially luxurious!!! I don’t think I’ve ever had such a comfortable and great experience at a hotel in my life! Which is really saying something , considering my stay took place during one of the most uncomfortable and stressful chapters of my entire life! I will definitely be staying here again. 💖💖💖💖

My wife and I stopped for a couple of days in OKC on our way to Texas and every part of our stay at the Colcord was five stars. From the time we walked in the hotel staff was friendly and we noticed how nice the hotel was. The front desk staff was helpful, especially Hailey. They were able to provide some recommendations on places to eat nearby. Once we got to our room we were very pleased with the size and cleanliness of the room. We stayed in a corner king room and were surprised by the size of the room. The room was well equipped as well. We used our Nespresso machine both days the room was also equipped with a stocked mini refrigerator. We had drinks at the hotel bar and the bartender was both friendly and very knowledgeable about the drinks. There is a great selection of bourbon at the bar and a nice list of cocktails, but you can’t go wrong with their Old Fashioned. The gentleman working for the valet service were very friendly when we were coming and going, but we elected to self park. There is a nice parking garage across the street that only charges $10 nightly, but if you prefer to take advantage of the valet service I’m sure you won’t be disappointed. Overall, this hotel was a great value for the cost and is easily a five out of five. If we travel through OKC again we will definitely be staying at the Colcord again.

I stayed here for three nights on the recent trip. The staff was super nice. My room was really big and very clean. I liked the deep soaker tub. It’s very close to the basketball stadium. And it’s a short walk to all the Bricktown restaurants. The restaurant in the hotel is very good. It’s an old building and very cool inside.

From the moment you get there with valet they greet you with kindness. I stayed one night and ended up leaving my wedding rings on the table and from the first phone call to the front desk, everyone was helpful and insisted they will resolve this. They called me the following day and they have my wedding rings. I was an emotional wreck and when I got there I was greeted with a hug. The customer service this hotel offered has exceeded all of my expectations!

Beautiful hotel with a great feel. It is both historic and modernized in a good blend. The bar/kitchen was excellent. We'll be staying here again.

Booked this hotel for the OKC Marathon. My review was going to be lower but because of Phillip going above and beyond its a resounding 5 stars. Amazing rooms. Beautiful hotel. Room for improvement: - Upon checking in, the front desk person that Saturday left me feeling a little neglected. He offered amazing customer service to the 2 people before me but when it came to me, I unfortunately didnt get the amazing service they did. Now I chalked it up to maybe they needed more assistance. - Room Service, Im not sure what I expected but I guess I imagined it matched the ambiance of the hotel. Food was a little lackluster but service was attentive. Now for the MVP of this trip - Mr Phillip. He went above and beyond making sure I didnt miss my flight. His generosity really made me stop and say - the Oklahoma Standard really does exist and thank goodness for Phillip. Phillip you forever will be the hero of my trip!

Hosted wedding rehearsal dinner in the Terrace Room and welcome drinks afterwards at Flora Patio. Both were excellent and well coordinated. The greenery surrounding the outside parts of the Terrance Room was as described (we booked during winter when everything hadn't bloomed yet). Sydney Buck was our Coordinator and did an excellent job. Would highly recommend working with her and the hotel for any event you need to host. If

Yelp
What a lovely boutique hotel in a revitalized downtown OKC historic office building. The beautiful antique mail box between the elevators supports the historic feel of the building. The suites are very spacious with comfortable pillow & beds, large shower, vanity space with lots of lights, closet with a personal safe, counter top lighted vanity mirror as well as a full length mirror on the door of the separate bathroom space. Nice work space, mini bar with treats for purchase in addition to the free coffee bar. The front desk staff has offered warm, welcoming greetings and helpful answers to questions. The valet staff are quick and efficient in shuffling cars from early morning through the late evening. Flint restaurant was my breakfast go to with fluffy biscuits, tasty breakfast potatoes, eggs and fresh fruit. I did have one dinner; steak, scallops and squash pasta dishes were enjoyed by our group along with drinks from the bar. Overall stay and experience was peaceful, upscale and very comfortable. The downtown area adjacent to the hotel is pretty walkable with parks and dining/drinks nearby but Uber will also take you to several entertainment districts close by. OKC has a lot going on these days. Check it out!

Yelp
Still the best in Oklahoma. Five days for business in January 2023. The duration of the business trip was uncertain. No problem, even though it looked like meetings would end on Thursday, the team was kind enough to hold my bags and then move me back into my room on Thursday evening when I needed to stay over one more day. Highly recommend the corner rooms = spacious! The Colcord is contemporary in the higher floor views are sublime. Walkable to much of the south-end of the business district. Found the food and drink offerings at Flint to be very good, albeit a little overpriced. I do wish they would improve the draft beer menu: had a few of the more funky offerings that are just not my style. Would like to see another stout and/or IPA offered on draft. Valets have always taken good care of my ride. As a "hand washer," clearly not a fan of those door dings :-) Never a problem here. The staff is very well trained. The workout room -- totally quiet in 3 visits when I was there -- is well-equipped with bikes, ellipticals, and free weights. In sum, strongly recommend this property and their service. They seem to have only improved since joining the "Curio collection" (now Hilton-affiliated).

Yelp
If I could give 0 stars I absolutely would this place had a colony of bugs in the bathroom we used a UV light and found so many stains on the sheets!

Yelp
I stayed at the Colcord for six days for a conference I was attending. I have never been to OKC before but the Colcord seemed like a great place to stay. It's located in the heart of downtown. On the south side of the hotel you have the Myriad Botanical garden, Scissortail Park, & Paycom Center. On the north side you have the City County building, National Memorial, & Automobile Alley. Then on the east side of the building you have a streetcar stop, Bricktown, Chickasaw Bricktown Ballpark, the canal & so much more! I was able to explore all of this stuff just by walking. I Ubered to most of my dinners in other neighborhoods. No Uber was longer than a 12 minute ride. The Colcord hotel itself it stunning. The architecture on the inside of the building, mainly the lobby, is jaw-dropping. The 24 hour fitness room was perfect for to get a quick exercise in. My room was exceptional & housekeeping refilled the Nepresso machine & bottled waters each day. The staff was extremely tentative & friendly. I did have to ask for a luggage rack multiple times (over a couple of days) until one was delivered to my room. But it wasn't a huge deal. I also had an issue with the mini-fridge not cooling down on my first day. I tried to use the room phone to call the front desk to inform them about this issue, but then the room phone kept dying. (Apparently the room phone wasn't charging properly - I'm still not sure). I ended up using my cell phone to call & explain the situation. The engineer was gone for the day but he came first thing the next morning to fix the fridge. The room service is provided by Flint, the restaurant inside the hotel. The room service was exceptional. I recommend the buttermilk chicken tenders with smoked hot honey. My only issue is the valet area. On busy days/nights it is super congested & there is no signage posted anywhere to give directions for Uber/Lyft drivers. For example, one of my Uber drivers accidentally pulled into the "drive way" looking valet area to pick me up. We ended up getting stuck in the valet area for 10 minutes because other cars pulled in behind him & Colcord valet staff was unloading their cars. A "valet only" sign could potentially help clear up confusion for the drivers. From that moment on I started having my Uber drivers pick me up down the street.

Yelp
Wonderful hotel! Simply stay here! Beautiful renovated building. Rooms and lobby are gorgeous. Restaurant Flint is excellent. Nice desk staff; Kayla very helpful. Valets are prompt. Miguel Has been so kind. Dog friendly to the max! Great location.

Yelp
Gorgeous, sumptuous, nicely appointed hotel (l'occitane soaps and shampoos!) with history and beauty everywhere your eye lands. Great bar and restaurant on site (Flint) and a must-do for breakfast. The bartenders know a thing or two about cocktails and for you whiskey and bourbon lovers there is plenty to choose from. The hotel is historic and has a boutique hotel feel for those that like to get away from the chain hotels. Central location, courteous and thoughtful staff, and a chic but un-stuffy vibe make you feel like OK City is definitely more than just Okay. It's pretty class, too.

Yelp
Disappointing is the nicest way I can put it. I have never written a bad review (even when I've had terrible service I tend to not escalate the situation and just mentally note that I do not want to go to that establishment again). In this case, I feel like I have no choice. -My sister (the bride) made a reservation at the Colcord (months in advance) to have a suite for the day so she and her bridal party could get ready (hair, makeup, etc). The staff member states this is done all the time and that she will book it but notes the reservation may look odd at first glance because they have to enter it in a specific way since we really only need it from 11:30-4pm. -My sister calls the hotel the day before to confirm that everything is set. To her horror, no suite is available. It seems they are overbooked and have entered the reservation incorrectly. -They said they can have 2 adjoining rooms (not enough space to get ready) or we can get the presidential but it'll cost us an additional up charge (upwards of $500 in addition to the suite cost). A manager tells us to call in the morning to see if any of the suites check out early and that regardless they will figure out a solution. -We call in the morning. No one checks out early. And there is no manager on site and no one can get in contact with him (or so we are told). Our only option is to pay for the presidential. We tell the staff that this is not acceptable as the fault was with the hotel (please note, multiple members of the staff admit fault). It seems like they want to help but it's not in their jurisdiction to upgrade and the Manager is MIA and has been for many hours. They say I can speak with him when he arrives at 12 (which will not work since we need to get everyone ready before that). -Time is of the essence since this is a wedding...and people need to know where to go. Members of the bridal party offer to pay the charge to put the bride and groom at ease. -The staff seems to feel remorse and tells us that valet parking will be covered for our troubles. They also offer to reduce a bit of the up charge (by $50) and go on to say that management will chew them out for even doing that. -Many hours go by and we finally get to enjoy the festivities. Until...management arrives and wants to talk to us about valet parking...and how it will not be covered. He wants to discuss this as the bride is getting her hair done to leave for the ceremony in 2 hours. -I want to make it very clear that we did not ask for valet parking to be covered and would have been fine paying it. I also discussed the number of vehicles that would be overnight vs those that would be around for more than 2 hours but not overnight with staff on two different occasions. -Just to add additional color, when my husband went to get our car from the valet and said the room number, the valet tossed his keys at him and said "it's parked on the street." Again, no one asked for free valet parking and I feel like we were getting punished for all of these miscommunications. This whole situation was absurd especially given that this was someone's wedding day. Looking at Colcord's instagram it looks like many people have weddings here so I'm surprised by the lack of service and miscommunication. Given their high star rating it seems like we are an outlier and I'm sure they normally provide a very good hotel experience but I needed to tell our story because it very much set the tone for the rest of the wedding. My sister started her wedding day crying in their hotel lobby. I should also note that my sister recommended this hotel for the bridal party and guests. Many of them also spoke to management about this situation as they checked out. My husband and I are frequent travelers and stay at hotels like this often. In these situations we have always gotten an upgrade if there is one available, especially if the hotel is overbooked or has made a booking mistake. Also, we only needed the room from 11:30-4 so they could have flipped that room and booked it for that night. All in all a really horrible experience. This may be an outlier, but we will not be staying at this hotel again along with many of the bridal party and guests.

Yelp
Arrived into downtown Oklahoma for the first time and decided to stay at the Colcord Hotel. Great first impression and nice area. Receptionists were exceptional and very attentive. Love there old hotels. Full of charm. Love it. Got to my room (502) and found it very spacious had all that you need. Super nice. Thanks Colcord. Great hotel with great staff. Not that I come to Oklahoma City at all, but if I did, I'd certainly stay here again.

Yelp
I stayed at the Colcord last year and found it to be a fabulous hotel. I'm not sure what changed, but when I stayed this year I was extremely disappointed. The first issue upon entering the room was a terrible musty smell that lingered throughout the room. There were small hairs in the sink bowl as if someone had shaved and the sink had not been properly cleaned. The walls were dinged up, there were drips of something on the painted walls, and there was an oily patch on the window (as though someone had pressed their face against the glass). There were fingerprints all over the handles of the minibar, the glass surfaces were dusty and fingerprinted, and the furniture was all chipped. The hotel windows were so filthy I could barely see out of them. But by far the worst thing I found was a fingernail inside of the plastic wrapped bar glass. Let me repeat myself: I found a human FINGERNAIL inside of the glass that was supposedly cleaned and sanitized, then wrapped in plastic. That is absolutely unacceptable and disgusting. There is a sticker on the bathroom mirror stating "Hilton CleanStay". If this room was so well cleaned, why were there beard trimmings and a fingernail clipping in my "clean" room? I paid $28 for valet parking, yet there was no valet on duty when I needed my car in the morning. We waited outside for the valet for several minutes, assuming the valet was out getting another car, before realizing no one was coming. I had to speak to the front desk agent who informed me there was no valet. The front desk agent had to go get our car. No valet helped us unload or load our vehicle. So what exactly am I being charged for? This is not the Colcord I remember from last year. If I had known that I was booking a subpar hotel, I would have looked elsewhere. I may as well have booked a budget motel. I have attached photos of the things I commented on, although all you need to do is take a quick look at room 1103 to see everything. I am very upset that I have been charged for an upscale hotel room but been given a budget motel room. I stayed at the Colcord last year and found it to be a fabulous hotel. Yelp
I do not think this hotel is 4.5 star as rated. The bad: The amenities are slacking. There is no pool or spa. The bathroom is small and just a standard tub/shower. The paint is peeling. No coffee in the room. The plug in in the night stand don't work and the USB ports are broken. The good: black out shades, an Alexa in the room. Just not overly impressed as you would expect to see with a 4.5 star. The 4 stars I've seen in this area are equal or better.

Yelp
This is a historic hotel that has done a great job in preserving the look and style, but also added nice touches of modern. It is a beautiful, clean hotel. I came for a conference and the staff is super nice and was so supportive of our conference. They made us feel so welcomed and happy that we were there. They did everything well. The rooms are comfortable, clean and quiet. The shower is very nice. The WiFi worked very well. The meals were all really tasty. If you're staying in OKC I would highly recommend checking out this place.

Chris M.

Yelp
We decided to stay in OKC for a night to break up a long trip and we were not disappointed. We picked the Colcord for its central location to help with running around for one night. It was a great choice, the staff was amazing, building was immaculate and we will return for sure.

Yelp
**Update** We checked out Sun Nov 27th. It is now Dec 25th and I still have not been contacted by the hotel*** Extremely underwhelming. They advertise themselves as a "prestigious" hotel, but it is not. Everything here is smoke in mirrors. They tried to give me a bottle of wine when I questioned the cleanliness of the room. Like, why? So I'll be too drunk to notice you don't even put fitted sheets on the bed? Robe has holes in it. Did someone really put that in here noticing that and thought it was all good or was it just dirty and had holes from the previous guest? No slippers as indicated on the hotel website. No streaming service as indicated on the website. Needed something out of my valet parked car, kid didn't even have a license so he couldn't get it for me. Had to walk to 2 different lots to find it bc he didn't know where it was. Website says Alexa personal assistant in room? Where??? How can you literally lie on the website about the hotel amenities and get away with it? Tried "contact us" on the website. No one has contacted me. Called and asked about this and was told they don't answer that over the weekends. Seriously???? Like I said, smoke in mirrors. Made a comment about this place to a server at a very nice hotel restaurant down the street, and she said she isn't surprised at all about my issues. She has heard it before and most of the good people that used to be at Colcord left. Stay somewhere else. There's more I could mention, but I'm tired or typing and wasting my energy on this place bc the definitely don't have the energy to make it better. Has all the potential in the world, but totally not worth it. I wanted a "prestigious" experience and we did not get that.

Yelp
Don't waste the money. Terrible management. Motel 6 gives better service. No security. Your on your own with zero care or concern from management.

Yelp
We ate there for breakfast . The service was great and great coffee options. Biscuit and Gravy was good southern style . Mimosas required.

Yelp
Mediocre at best. Parking is a joke, musky smell throughout. Food was on the scale of, tried once, said I ate their and won't go back again. Overall, would not go back.

Yelp
Nice place. We got the corner king and had a very nice stay. There is a great bar around the corner. Clean and comfy rooms.

Yelp
Stayed here Friday night after driving part one of a cross country road trip (from GA to AZ and back). I was a little weary after reading some of the other reviews that they might treat my company and I less than stellar based on our appearance and age (young and visibly tattooed) -- but I was pleasantly surprised to be proven wrong. Everything went perfectly. When we arrived, the valet was prompt and took the car after offering to help with our luggage. The check in went equally smooth -- got our room keys and kept it moving. They were quick to let us know the bar closed about 20 mins after we arrived, which was nice bc I was pretty hell bent on a stiff drink after 17 hours of driving (more on that later). Our room was great. We stayed in a suite on the 12th floor (room 1201). The room was clean, decor was modern/transitional and bathroom was massive. The bed was especially comfortable, which I suppose is one of the most important parts. After we checked in, I sent my company to the suite and headed to the bar so as not to miss my chance at a drink. Again, after 17 hours in the car, it was the only thing I really wanted at that point. When I arrived to the bar, I was promptly greeted and served. I ordered two Whistle Pig manhattans. The manager (I am assuming) came up to me asking if he heard correctly that I ordered Whistle Pig and then disappeared only to reappear with the latest release of Boss Hog. It was nice to chum it up about booze with someone else who knows about booze. Might seem small, but the little details make the difference at places like this. I took my drinks with me and ordered some room service, as well. Maybe 15 minutes after I arrived to the room, the food arrived and was perfect (jalapeño hush puppies and black bean hummus with an onion and mango topper). It should be noted that in all the hustle, I forgot the room number (was billing to the room), but they handled that, too and helped me get to the right place. Check out was equally smooth and I retrieving the car went fine. If I had to gripe, I think it is lame to charge for parking when you pay as much as I did for the suite. I understand why they do it, but think it should be included when you pay for a suite. 5/5 will stay here again if I am ever in OKC again. Great job with the little details. -Nicolas

Yelp
We have stayed here every time we come to Oklahoma city. It is a quaint hotel and has been consistently great. They bring a pot of coffee to you in the morning, which is excellent. It's an elegant spot in the middle of Oklahoma city and it's interesting to walk around the area. The staff is responsive and we enjoyed their amenities. We don't even look to stay in any other hotels while we visit the area. If even come here for a stay cation to get away. It's quiet and clean.

Yelp
Stayed hear a lot when I first moved to OKC. The place is second to none downtown. Employees are friendly and breakfast is unforgettable.

Yelp
Wonderful stay for our wedding anniversary! The lobby smells sooooo good! Service was great and I was incredibly charmed with coffee and cream delivered in the morning. The hotel lobby was absolutely gorgeous and elegant touches are around every corner all the way to your room. We would love to stay here again and recommend anyone coming to OKC for business or pleasure to rest easy at the Colcord.

Yelp
It's fine. The hotel has such potential and the rooms are objectively beautiful.* HVAC quietly kept the room to our liking, the decor's unique grays and orange work very well, the views we had from our corner were lovely, and the bed was quite comfortable. But the attention to detail was missing. Many of the TV channels were not working, and the "engineer" who came up to fix it agreed they were broken. Couldn't fix it or anything, but we all admired the problem together. His advice was to call the front desk and see if we could move rooms...at 8:00 at night during our one night stay. No follow-up from anyone about the issue. Also, thank Ricky Gervais I noticed housekeeping neglected to turn off the room alarm, as the last guest had set a nice early wakeup that might have ended my marriage if it had gone off Saturday morning. Now, I am dealing with a billing issue because I was incorrectly charged, and the hotel's response when I called was that they could not help me. Only the manager could fix this issue, and they were unavailable ... so now I'm spending part of my vacation working through Hilton corporate and my credit card billing instead of enjoying it. These are quibbles, but disappointing. Things go wrong at hotels, but neither of the problems I reported to the staff was actually fixed. * I know objectively beautiful is not a thing, just triggering my art friends.

Yelp
What a great stay! Everything about it was fantastic! They offer complimentary coffee or tea to be brought to you in the morning. The staff is all very nice and the car service is speedy. We even received a free treat delivered to our door after dinner. They definitely take pride in providing excellent customer service. I would deduct .5 stars because of the shower. It's a combined shower and tub but the glass only goes out so far. You're then exposed to air and the water can come out onto the floor, better yet freeze your butt off while showering. Other than that, everything was perfect! Would definitely stay here again.

Yelp
There are times where I do not sleep in my own bed. Sometimes I need a mini stay-vacation here in the city. I recommend the Colcord Hotel. It has this modern deco decor. The beds are super comfortable and the bathroom amenities is top notch/excellent. Don't forget to dine at Flint's downstairs bear the lobby. The food is wonderful. I'm a regular at that restaurant.

Yelp
This is a 3.5 review and would have been higher without all of the little problems that added up. I stayed with my husband after our wedding. We chose the Romantic Escape package that comes with champagne, chocolate covered strawberries, free valet, and a $50 Flint voucher. If executed perfectly, this would have the best hotel stay of my life. The corner king room was spacious and clean. The large tub was awesome. We just ended having a bunch of small hiccups that became cumulatively annoying. We had to remind the hotel about the romance package; it wasn't set up for us automatically. They gave us a 10% off coupon instead of a $50 coupon, and we had to trade it out. The TV offered movies on demand. While we were able to buy one, we couldn't watch it because the quality was so poor. When we checked out, we had to wait because they charged us $50 for the voucher that was supposed to be free. Then, their system was down, so we weren't able to get a print receipt to make sure everything was correct. We didn't get any special perks besides what we paid for. Overall, we were happy with the room. I just feel like there shouldn't be so many problems when you are paying $300/night.

Yelp
It's a nice hotel. I was in town for what was supposed to be a day to pick up a puppy and thought I'd make it fun for my mom who joined me by staying at a super nice spot. Made the wrong choice here. Unfortunately a major snowstorm back east kept me there 2 extra days. My bill for these 3 days was almost 900 after all the taxes and pet fees, we had a corner king room. The room was gorgeous, spacious & comfortable.I can't say it was worth it. Of course not bringing enough clothes and puppy supplies for days made me a little cranky but I was nice to everyone. I can't say the desk staff was super hospitable, helpful or even friendly. They were certainly not rude at all but not welcoming overall. I could have changed hotels of course but changing hotels was just a pain w a puppy and everything else going on trying to figure out how to get out of OKC with all my flights getting cancelled. My #1 biggest gripe has to be that their website says they bring up complimentary coffee in the morning, and they definitely did not any of the 3 days. In fact one day of the three days they had out a self service coffee bar downstairs which is better than nothing but I don't know where it was the next 2 days. So not only did they not bring 'complimentary' coffee up but I had to order it the other 2 times and was charged room service fees. That's not okay. If you're not going to have a Keurig or something in the rooms at least supply the coffee. There's not even a coffee shop or convenience store nearby. I will say the guys that valet and help out at the door were extremely friendly and helpful. They were definitely the best part of the service here. I think one of them worked the overnight shift behind the desk when we finally checked out today and he was super nice, offered us coffee that he made himself for us at like 4 am and got rid of a weirdo that was talking to us outside while I was frazzled waiting for an uber (no airport shuttle or anything ofc). 5 stars for him and the rest of those guys - they're probably who should be behind the desk here. Overall, okay... but I'll be checking out the skirvin when I am back in a few months.

Yelp
Loved this hotel! Beautiful architecture and comfy rooms. The staff was super nice, helpful and thoughtful. Located in Downtown OKC with great views of the city. It is a dog friendly hotel and the Botanical Gardens are across the street. Stay here if you're in OKC, it's not expensive either.

Yelp
Beautiful hotel with great service. The restaurant attached to the property is great as well. One of the better Hilton properties I've stayed at. Highly recommend and will definitely stay again.

Yelp
This hotel is awesome! Great staff great food and service. Super clean and nice. Only scuff was when I booked it it said that there was free valet parking and hey charged me for it. When I asked the front staff they said that I needed to book the summer special. However that was not an option. I clicked on the picture and there was no promo code or anything. But aside from that it was great.

Yelp
Nice elegant hotel! Mattresses could be more comfortable but overall they have now rooms!

Yelp
Made a reservation through a third party, hotwire, we decided to stay a day longer. Hotwire was not offering any rooms for the next day. I contacted the hotel and was told that hotwire had over booked their hotel and they had suspended their services. The person said that it would only last the weekend. she reported they had rooms but if i waited i could get the same price through hotwire after the weekend. I waited and was unable to get an extra day, because of this i called the hotel back and was informed they had no rooms available, the person said I should have booked when i called, i explained it was at their suggestion I didn't but there was nothing they could do. No big deal...just my anniversary. In conclusion, they are not accommodating or helpful to say the least.

Yelp
Amazing hotel. Everything thought out for your comfort. Spotless housekeeping, great service, great valet. Love the complimentary coffee or tea delivery every morning, you just tell them the time. They were 15 minutes earlier than requested but that was okay because early coffee is always nice. It's also GOOD coffee not bitter or anything. Flint is a great restaurant offering great room service as well at a reasonable price for room service. Very good experience all the way around.

Yelp
Stayed here for a couple of days while on business. It is a beautiful Historic Hotel with exceptional service. The rooms are huge!! It is nicely situated across from the Botanical Gardens and only couple blocks walk from Bricktown which has the Dodgers AAA farm club and since I am from SoCal and a die hard Dodger fan that was the icing on the cake. Also while I was there my husband surprised me with flowers in my room. Thank you to Patrice the hotel operator/concierge for assisting my husband in that endeavor. I am forever appreciative. Lastly the hotel restaurant/bar... Flint... was delicious! Thank you to Hunter and Tristan for your company and amazing service! I look forward to staying here in the future on more business trips and with my family.

Yelp
We stayed at this hotel while attending a tradeshow at the nearby convention center. This hotel is wonderfully charming! The Colcord is a very charming boutique hotel! The staff is sooooo very amazingly hospitable and helpful! They offer a free coffee/tea service each morning, and they are very prompt with the delivery so incredibly kind. The rooms are very clean, they have a nice ambiance and they are very spacious. The beds are quite comfy. The a/c was great! (very thankful for this!) Everyone is so prompt to respond to requests. They also have a shuttle that will happily take you around the downtown area, and then pick you up and bring you back. I definitely recommend The Colcord!

Yelp
Terrible experience- look elsewhere for less money. Some pretty big hiccups which at 250.00 per night should not have occurred. We stayed over St. Patrick's Day weekend and were gone for 6 hours and requested our room to be cleaned during that time. Well someone entered our room and collected our coffee but the room wasn't cleaned. We called the front desk at 330pm to let them know and even at 440pm not a word from housekeeping. After returning from dinner our room was cleaned but no toiletries were replaced and we were only given one wine glass. I called for room service and got an unfriendly person on the line who seemed annoyed when asking about the desert selection for my wife's birthday. You are supposed to get free coffee at this place and you tell them the time you would like it at check it. Well the second day it never arrived. I called and spoke with two separate front desk agents who said they would send it up. Well it never arrived. Look I know this is a minor issue but it just shows they don't care about me as a customer. The front desk seemed bothered when I called regarding these issues. I will stick to Ritz Carlton and other luxury brands where these issues will be promptly fixed- if they even occur in the first place. You are better off staying in one of the chain hotels nearby for much less money. The staff has ruined this hotel experience for me.

Yelp
Terrible concierge service . Had a bad attitude during check out. I've stay at many luxurious hotels, and this is by far not what I was expecting coming to Colcord.

Yelp
This hotel is as stunning on the inside as it is out. Located in the heart of Oklahoma City, this is a staple that is rich in history and style. Staying here will impress everyone. Checking in was a breeze before heading up to the room. THE ROOM. Ya, that deserved it's own sentence. For a downtown hotel, the amount of space in the room was incredible. The bed was sublimely comfortable and there was even a fancy pants chair that you could easily nap in next to the bed by a window overlooking the city. The shower had eucalyptus strung around and made me feel like I was bathing like a greek goddess. Best part of my stay? Complimentary morning coffee delivery. CHYA. I know my coffee, and this stuff was good. Thank you, Colcord for a memorable stay!

Yelp
What a gorgeous hotel located in Downtown OKC.... I was very impressed with the decor, overall service, and room accommodations at the Colcord during my 2 night stay. My room was super sized and include 2 sitting areas that included a chaise lounge and also two elegant wingback chairs flanked by a pedestal table. The bathroom vanity was expansive with well-lit lighting and a deep closet area too. I was impressed by the Bvlgari toiletries as well - NICE TOUCH! The bed was very comfortable and I also appreciated the touch-key "Do Not Disturb" option near the door. Upscale yet comfy restaurant and lounge Flint was on the ground floor and offered up some stiff cocktails and tasty late night bites to tide me over during a particularly fun night. My only annoyances were that my key card had to keep getting reset (3x during my stay) and there was an occasion where we waited for an excessive bit of time for a valet to assist us when we returned one evening. Overall, this is a fabulous option in OKC and I hope to stay here again! TIP: Fantastic coffee and tea service to your room!

Yelp
The hotel is beautiful and only a block from the Thunder game we attended. We thoroughly enjoyed our corner king room. The only drawback is that parking is stressful. Call ahead and get specific instructions on how to check in and where to park.

Yelp
The lobby itself is worth a touristy walk-through from Devon Energy Center if you're an architecture fanatic. The staff are quite friendly towards randos wandering through their structural wonderland in awe. This combination of strategic wood paneling, wrought iron stairways, and monochromatic marble would arouse most people's aesthetics.

Yelp
This Hotel went ABOVE AND BEYOND! My Wife and I had a reservation to stay here but upon check-in they told us that their system had overbooked the hotel and we didn't have a room there, but they had already made us reservations for a new and fantastic hotel across the street, "ALOFT". They drove us over to the hotel, checked us in and paid for our room, valet costs, room service, and all taxes. The front office manager named Clara made sure that everything was taken care of. Colcord or the staff didn't have to take care of this mistake this well, but it goes to show how much they truly value their customers. I will be returning to this hotel upon my next visit to OK City. I would strongly recommend Colcord and Aloft to all travelers. And by the way the "Aloft" hotel was nice, new, and a very upscale hotel.

Yelp
This hotel has potential and was nice, but not 5 star caliber. Upon entering the room, a mildewy/musty smell hit me. After being in the room it subsided a bit after we cranked up the a/c, but still hit us every time we entered the room. The bigger issue was the shower. I have never disliked a shower so much, except once on a cruise! You have to be in the tub, under the shower to turn it on. Hence, there is no way to avoid getting soaked with cold water. The positive, it wakes you up. Also, it is very awkward to get it to the shower. All I could think of was the troubles my 5' MIL would have getting in to the tub! And to continue, the shower does not close, nor is there a bathroom door to close. Sooooo, you get a cold draft of air the entire time you are showing. I just hated this shower, there's no sugar coating it. The room was very spacious and tons of natural light. The location was ideal for walking around town. Within a few walking blocks is Market No. 324 restaurant, you can thank me later!!!

Yelp
I have stayed at the Colcord many times over the years and have always been impressed with the friendly staff, great service and all-around wonderful experience. About a month ago, however, I stored my bag for about an hour and a half behind the front desk before leaving to head home. When unpacking at home a valuable item worth $800 was missing, and I'm sure it was there when I stored it. When I contacted the General Manager, "Blane," he did not bother to write down my name and said "I see your number" although I was not calling from my own phone. He promised he would "start an investigation" but I never even got the courtesy of a return call. The OKC police said someone would call me back to take a report I needed for my insurance, but I never got that return call either. What a fine way to treat out-of-town visitors. A great city but I was treated poorly on this trip.

Yelp
While on business in OK City, stayed at the Colcord. Great experience...a very nice hotel. I recommend. I stayed in a suite with very nice views of the city. Suite was large with a living room, a bed room, a hot tub and a shower as well as two large Hi Def televisions, and very comfortable bed. The staff was very accommodating and friendly. A little pricey but worth it, and the connected restaurant (Flint) is quite good, and the hotel appears to be recently renovated.

Yelp
If you read any of my reviews you'll see I love giving great reviews. I only give bad ones when warranted. Sadly, the Colcord Hotel is not On the plus side, the staff was helpful and courteous. The hotel book's itself as a luxury boutique hotel. This is not a luxury boutique hotel by any stretch of the imagination. It's a beautiful building with stylish albeit seen better days rooms. The plumbing in our room was awful. Plan to flush several times (up to 6) to clear the bowl. Not luxurious. Maintenance came and still the issue was not resolved. We gave up, it's a broken toilet that needs replacement. We decided to spend a night in and watch movies in bed while dining on delicacies we brought close-by. Room service was out of the question. We'd eaten brunch in the hotel's restaurant "Flint" disappointing meal not to be repeated. We asked for some silverware to be brought up. They sent plastic forks. This is a boutique hotel, right? TV in bed? Only if maintenance comes with fresh batteries. Jeez. This hotel is disappointing on every level.

Yelp
It was a nice hotel, but based on reviews I expected more. Pros: * Good location * Spacious, well-decorated rooms * Nice touches (e.g., complimentary coffee delivery in the morning) Cons: * Front desk reps were not friendly or helpful (to be honest they came across snobbish) * Isn't as big as hotels like nearby Sheraton so doesn't have amenities like nice bar area, etc.

Yelp
Immaculate surroundings -- polished, clean, and beautifully appointed. Superb staff. Outstanding room service! The valet parking's a bit expensive, granted. We had a marvelous stay at The Colcord all in all.

Yelp
What a fantastic hotel! The staff was unbelievable. They were so pleasant and helpful. The room was perfect. Super views (we had a corner king room) and spacious. Had appetizers at the restaurant which were so good as well as, the margaritas. We liked it so much we went back for dinner. After we got to the airport, I realized I had left my glasses. I called the hotel and the fabulous person who answered told me to hold on and they would send someone up to look. Thankfully, they found them. They were so great they had them at the FedEx in 10 minutes! By far, my favorite hotel in OKC!!
