Cold Hawaii Surf Camp - Denmark's Best Surf School.

I found this place doing a search for anywhere to surf in Denmark before my upcoming trip. We drove 2 hours from Frederikshavn to Klitmøller and upon arriving to the town, we could see the surf theme everywhere. My heart skipped a beat. When we pulled up to Cold Surf Hawaii, I could feel the extreme excitement building. I had been waiting months for this. Upon entering the shop, we were immediately greeted by the most warm and welcoming staff. We were able to rent boards and wetsuits, no reservation needed, and there was a great selection to choose from. All the boards were so bright and colorful which I loved. The man who helped us with our gear was so informative and directed us where to go for the surf, showing a map and the best places to hop in the water. After a two hour session we headed back to the shop where we could change and dunk our wetsuits in clean water, put the boards away, and go back inside for some damn good coffee and shopping. All the merchandise was beautiful. I’m back in America now, but I’ll be damned if I never get to go back to Cold Surf Hawaii. That was a dream come true. I felt the love and the stoke. 10/10

This marks my second visit to the surf school. Last July, I participated in a one-week course—a true surf camp. Initially, my hopes wavered during the first two days as I struggled to catch waves. However, the instructors provided unwavering encouragement, and I persevered. By the end of the course, I proudly joined the ranks of declared surfers. Recently, I returned for a day of surfing with my DTU friends, encountering familiar faces: the surf instructors Hugo and Amid. Our time together was nothing short of wonderful—we all improved our skills and rode the waves. Without hesitation, I highly recommend this school for surfing lessons, rentals, and accessories

Super great instructors and good equipment. We really had a great weekend surfing at a beginner level. Only thing missing is some shower facility and toilets - even if it was just an outside shower to rinse off some of the salty water. Otherwise a great experience and thoroughly enjoyed it!

We had bought the two hour beginners course and had two instructors on our course. Both spoke English to ensure that everyone on the course were following instructions. They were very helpful and fun throughout the entire course. They made sure that we were all safe and having fun, and after this was ensured, they also allowed themselves to have some fun in the waves. I would strongly recommend this course to anyone considering a surf course in Klitmøller, even if it is a bit expensive.

We had three courses during two days. Incredible people, very friendly. And great instructors. We had a blast learning to surf. And a cool little village, Klitmøller with nice shops and restaurants.

We came as big student group for a weekend of surfing at Cold Hawaii. They helped us arrange the bus trip, accommodation and lessons and were very easy to work with all along. When the swell forecast changed they adapted the lessons to give us the best experience at all times. The surf instructors always had very good and friendly energy. They did a great job teaching and being present in the water while surfing. To sum it up, a 5/5 surf vacation which I really recommend!! At least come by for the Tahitian coffee ☕🌟

Amazing surf camp and staff! We’re coming here since 6 years now and will definitely be back next year again. Our group is growing every year, since everybody wants to come back and even more people are joining in once they’ve seen the pictures and heard the stories. Mor and Vahine are hands-down the best hosts you can imagine - super friendly, laid back and generous (and on a side-note: amazing surfers :-) ). See you next year! 🤙🏻
