VANCOUVER CITY GUIDE

"Cold Tea was originally conceived as an idea to provide a more modern experience of great Chinese-Vietnamese cuisine with North American service. We offer all day dim sum with a strong emphasis on family style sharing."

I have to say we were fooled by the website with promises of an elegant and elevated dining experience. We were there on a Saturday evening 7pm and there were no Dim Sum available as the "machine was broken ". We should have left right then. Our waitress was nice but she was working an uphill battle as the restaurant was poorly managed and seemed very disorganized. Food we did order was edible but far from good with my friend's order of chicken wings showing up 30 minutes after our dishes. To top it off the wings were terrible and 95% tasteless batter. Do not recommend the tofu skewers or the chicken sliders either. Only the garlic fries were half way decent.

The restaurant has Asian and western influences. Libations served with dim sum what an amazing place. I haven’t had a chance to dine on the patio but it will be the thing to do next time. Weekend dim sum using push carts reminiscent of my childhood dining places with family, however the mimosas cart definitely brings me back to present. Definitely worth it to come for bite and drink.

Came here for a Christmas event with 20 people, they squished us into 4 tables and it was very tight. Trying to get a server to take our order was tough because it was a busy Saturday night. We pretty much ordered everything on the menu and most of the food was good. It wasn’t anything spectacle because the prices were high for dimsum, you’re pretty much paying for the ambience. There was a DJ there and it was quite loud. The decor is outstanding and I actually liked the unisex washrooms. I loved the cocktail push cart, it definitely felt modernized. I’m giving it more stars for the ambience then food.

This was the perfect dining experience! We were greeted by a very cheery and friendly staff member, who started serving us & provided us with some wonderful recommendations. Literally everyone we were in contact with was so wonderful and the service was on point. They were always there at the right time, but it was also never pushy. The food was fresh & delicious, and it came out timely. There were so many great options from fish to meat to vegan as well as vegetarian options! A true delight - 5 ⭐️! (Due to the low light, which is so lovely for the atmosphere, we could unfortunately not capture any better pictures...)

Loved the food and the relaxing atmosphere. Chicken wings and xiaolongbao are delicious. The pork bite was tasty for the first few bites, but after eating 1/3 I began to find them greasy. This dish could be better classified into the “for share” category. Also, the pork bite and nachos both have the same type of green sauce, which was overall good but a bit too salty for me. Nachos came to our table later than the rest of dishes, so we felt too full to enjoy it, and took it to go. More importantly, it seemed hard to get a waitress from around 10 pm. Our glasses and water bottle were empty for about half an hour. Overall, it was a positive dining experience. I used to order delivery from this restaurant, and I loved the food, so tonight I decided to dine in. The menu changed but the new dishes were also good. We walked in at 8pm, and there was a lot of space.

Honestly a great place that is super under rated in the flavors of the drinks that are all made from handmade ingredients with new exciting experiences to be had. The servers and owner are extremely friendly and will always make sure it all is good. The food was all nice portions with amazing baskets that you could try a whole bunch. The decoration in the place fits the style too and makes a huge impact on the experience. I wish there were more outdoor signs to know what it is. But this place is a 1000% hidden gem of Vancouver.

We loved our dinner at Cold Tea. Staff were friendly and attentive. The food was great! They offer a large selection from dim sum to fried chicken.

What an amazing surprise! We wandered in here on a Wednesday night, and we basically had the place to ourselves. I couldn't understand why, because everything was outstanding. Fantastic dim sum and cocktails. Really cool atmosphere. It's not well marked on the outside, and the inside feels totally different than the street corner it sits on. It was our favorite restaurant while we were in BC.
