Google
Disappointing. I understood that there was a large collection of russian art here and photos I had seen suggested that. Instead there was a very small selection of russian art and several temporary exhibitions which were, at best, entertaining. I'm glad we got a discount because at full price it would not have been worth it. The Pavlova exhibition was a total waste of space - you could have found everything there in a quick search on the internet. The one by the Russian photographer whose name escapes me was amusing and very homo-erotic. All the females were very bland but the males had a definite spark. Interestingly there were far more staff there than visitors and it is not surprising. Was looking forward to all the post revolutionary russian treasures and there were none.

Google
Loved it, the museum was actually a really big surprise. You can find both paintings and photos from different artist around the world It is not a museum with only Russian exhibitions - so that may be confusing and set the wrong expectations. Maybe a name change to be considered? The russian part was limited and maybe around 30%. However, I was pleasantly surprised by the exhibits and that the museum looks really nice and spacious.

Google
Quite a disappointment - left after 7 minutes as the museum is small and there’s little to see: a waste of time and $$, not worth the visit - most of museum is empty. The pictures of czars and other historical artwork shown here by other visitors here are no longer displayed in 2025 - that was the reason for the visit here: instead there are old pictures of Russian ballerina and some random abstract art.

Google
Sadly this museum is now a shadow of its former self since all the Russian artworks - which were both culturally interesting and superbly executed - have been removed. The photographs of Marisa Florez were interesting but they don’t belong here. It’s really not worth visiting now - there are better art galleries in Malaga. Avoid.

Google
Extremely average. In a competitive place for museums. This is not worth it. Staff couldn’t care less about visitors. Poorly curated. The photo exhibition on Spain very good. The rest pointless. Disappointed. Visit the car museum next door!

Great museum to learn cultures snd history. Also very cozy tastefully decorated cafe with popular Russian dishes. Recommend after a walk around museum.

Google
Fantastic collection, diverse and intriguing. I had planned a quick visit as I was staying nearby and ended up staying several hours. There were displays of two excellent award wing Russian photographers and a huge eclectic collection from a local Spaniard that included everything from fascinating Russian Revolution and WWII documents to paintings by Kandinsky, Picasso, Lichtenstein and many others. Gorgeous place, nice staff. Deserves more visits though it is a bit off the beaten path from the historical centre.

Google
Modern beautiful well-equipped museum with two cafes, serving various tasty drinks and food, one inside the building and another in the green shady inner garden outside. There are a lot of regular cultural events for adults and children and interesting exhibitions as well. Worth visiting place 👍🏻

Yelp
The Russian Collection is an amazing surprise to be found in a seaside town in the south of Spain. Expansive hallways and rooms, each artwork lit and presented to perfection. The permanent collection traces Russian art from the 15th century until today, tracing the contemporary social attitudes at every point. Observations on various eras of outward vs inward views of the Russian royalty. If you have Russian ancestry, or are fascinated by Russian culture or history, this museum is well worth the trip.

Yelp
Interesting museum featuring a deliberate and thorough collection of Russian contemporary and classic art. Well worth a visit.

Yelp
Check the official website for the correct hours. There is a bus stop at the door, you can catch the bus from the center of Malaga. Beautiful building and surroundings. The auto museum is on the same property.
