11 Airbnbs in San Sebastián, Spain, From Family-Friendly Villas to Chic Penthouses | Condé Nast Traveler

"Bathed in natural light and just a short meander from the Urumea riverside, this sun-dappled apartment balances coziness and cool with powerful air-conditioning and super-fast Wi‑Fi that will suit digital nomads. There's a dishwasher to make life easier, and I’d suggest heading downstairs to the Old Cafe for breakfast, which previous guests highly recommend." - Lauren Burvill

This is cute little hotel on the river with rooms with Jazz motif here and there. The name has changed a few times in the past years so you might find it as a different name on some reservation/review sites, but Colectia is the correct name as of 2025. Nice walk from bus terminal/central station. To down town I would use city bus (very frequent) by going across the bridge. No restaurant and no frills but very clean and comfortable. Note that if you are arriving early morning or late at night, make sure to arrange how to get your key. The front desk is not 24 hours and you need to tell your arrival time. If you tell in advance they will prepare your passcode and room key in a key box so that you can come in the building with code, then you can get your room key even when there’s no one at the reception. If you follow the rule there should not be any complains, but just enjoy the view of the river!

In my opinion, this is a decent option for staying in the city for a couple of days. Contactless check-in and check-out, parking available (needs to be booked in advance), pets allowed, and a great location - just a pleasant 20-minute walk to the old town. The room has toiletries, a kettle, cups, and a mini fridge. The room itself is small and could use some cosmetic renovation, but the biggest drawback was the poor sound insulation. I can’t say anything about the breakfasts, as we found plenty of nice cafés in this lovely little city.

Strongly advise avoiding this place. I made a booking and requested a specific check in time as I would arrive at midnight. The hotel agreed this check in time. When I arrived the door was locked and there were no staff. I called the hotel and nobody answered. I pressed the help button and nobody answered. I tried for around 30 minutes to get in or contact them with no luck. Ended up having to go to a different hotel nearby. Then this hotel refused to refund due to their cancellation policy, even though I wasn't cancelling, they literally were closed and uncontactable when I arrived

Great little hotel! Rooms very clean and tidy. I've seen some reviews saying the rooms are small but I felt it was a very good size compared to many European destinations. Great and scenic location, short walk to the old town and right next to the river. Breakfast was very fresh and had something for everyone. Do recommend staying here!

Nice hotel to stay in and a good value but the location is not good. It is a 30 minute walk from everywhere you want to be in San Sebastian as a tourist. I wouldn't recommend staying here as a tourist just due to the location. If you have a reason to be in this part of the city, then it is good but not as a tourist.

This is a lovely little hotel and well located for access to the main areas and old town. The rooms are a little small but clean and tidy. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the breakfast was more than adequate. Would recommend and not hesitate to stay again.

This is a no frills hotel but with a difference. ||The staff are absolutely superb, very accommodating. The room was immaculate and very comfortable, with a fridge a safe and a tv.||Breakfast was excellent and extremely fresh and well presented. Parking was in an underground car park secured 24hours a day which cost 17.00 euros, a little pricey I think.||Superbly quiet hotel with easy access to the centre. This is an immaculate hotel, we'll run with very good attention to detail.||Excellent comfortable bed in a very quiet area.||We will definitely be returning to this hotel

A great place to stay — quiet, affordable and delightfully within walking distance to everything! Located on the riverbank, the hotel is close to the city center, the beach, the intercity bus station and makes for wonderful riverside evening walks. The room was very clean, tastefully decorated and equipped with universal-plug sockets which was very convenient. The staff was so polite and helpful. Having arrived late at night after a long journey from Canada, I already felt better with a nice and friendly checkin experience. The person at the reception offered a map of the city and happily showed me the must-visit places and how to get to them :) Overall, had the nicest stay and would definitely recommend!
