PV has a huge and impactful art scene, and this place is no exception. They feature indigenous works, and have an entire back area for viewing. I cannot recommend this place enough for its location, staff knowledge, and amazing art.

Part of the Thursday night Art walk in Old Town is this wonderful addition to the Peyote People gallery. Hubby and I always look for a small piece of art to remember our trip by This exquisite little creature called to me when we visited the Colectika gallery in Puerto Vallarta on our recent trip and I just had to bring him home. San Martin Tilcajete in Oaxaca is one of the most famous villages for the traditional wood carvings. This mouse is Hand Carved from One Piece of Copal Tree Wood. Meticulously Hand Painted,Signed on Bottom by Artisan Issac Fabian.

I've been doing business with this gallery for over 15 years. Every piece in this gallery has a story of it's own. I've worked with the owner (Kevin Simpson) and I've also enjoyed working with several different staff members. If your looking for something unique and you can be proud of........go to Galeria Colectika and/or the Galeria Peyote People downtown near the main plaza.

Our very favorite art gallery in Puerto Vallarta! We discovered this place four years ago on ArtWalk thanks to a lovely lady that told us about it in 2018 at Sapphire Beach Club. What we love about this place is the art and the artists themselves. This gallery focuses on indigenous people of Mexico and in fact has a museum-like section toward the back that you should for sure check out. We try to buy something every year although we need to save up one year to buy the big prices that we truly love! Go check out this gallery and all three locations they have throughout Vallarta (two in Centro and one in Zona Romantica).

The native art in this place is simply amazing. They have pieces unlike any we have seen elsewhere in Puerto Vallarta. They have some artists that are very unique in their technique and designs. Even if you are not looking to purchase, please check this place out.

Feb 2024 Update - Colectika continues to be one of the finest high end purveyors of Local Mexican Artisan work in Puerto Vallarta. Whether it be the intricate hand painted wooden Alebrije sculptures, hand beaded Huichol sculptures, ceramic or woven work that they sell, the one thing you can rest assured is that it is original Artisan work from some of the finest artists in Mexico to include the work of world reknown Jocoba. This shop continues to be a must see if you want to experience local Mexican Artistry at its finest where I have bought eight pieces over the year that are proudly displayed in my house in Michigan and are always a topic of discussion and shared memories of my trips to Puerto Vallarta. Five Stars +++
