Location is beautiful. Overlooking the mountain. Staff are super friendly and always trying to help. Really chilled and relaxed vibe. Best location when looking to escape la Paz. They have several camp fires along with marshmallows. Wide range. Also have amazing friendly dogs and a cute cat named Phoebe.

This place was INCREDIBLE!!! My boyfriend and I stayed for 4 nights and our experience could not have been better. Though we originally booked a tipi, we were put in the “valley of the flowers lodge” which was an unexpected treat - it was private and so spacious, and build into the same rock formations as the Valley of the Moon in La Paz. Our stay was quiet, peaceful, and in such a beautiful location. I’ve also never stayed anywhere with such kind, helpful, friendly staff!!! I would recommend this place for the people alone! The included breakfast was a wonderful bonus too, and something I looked forward to every day. Thank you Colibri for giving us an unforgettable experience in Bolivia :)

This beautiful place amongst the mountains was the best place we have stayed on our trip. |From the amazing food, the valley of the flowers you can walk to below, the special rooms and the pure silence everywhere.|We are so grateful to Ronaldo and the team here for welcoming us. |Thank you for this little slice of paradise.

A relaxing break from busy La Paz. I stayed in a lovely cabin - it was clean, the bed was comfortable and had a duvet which was a luxury after many nights in hostels! You can enjoy a delicious breakfast with beautiful views. |The shower was hot and the wifi was good. |The hosts were very friendly and helpful. They called me a taxi to La Paz and helped me plan my transport to my next destination. |The lodge is also close to Valle de la Luna which I’d recommend visiting if you’re staying there. ||The only downside is that there are not many local restaurants in Jupapina, other than a pizzeria. As a vegetarian it was difficult to find somewhere nice to eat.

Wow! What a beautiful little place, we cannot recommend it enough. So peaceful and relaxing. Shout out to Clara - the chef - the food is incredible. Make sure to get salad - as british people our stomachs cannot handle salad in Bolivia but the water is all filtered so the salad is safe to eat; a vitamin and health injection while travelling is so necessary. Colibri is an amazing place to hike the famous Muela Del Diablo from, a fantastic 5 hour hike along the mountain tops you can see from Colibri. Ask the staff or volunteers about details if you would like to do this. If you can, make sure you stay on a Saturday night so you can enjoy the free yoga on a Sunday morning. Thank you Emma and Roilando for our magical stay at Colibri 😊

Warm, friendly owners and staff, really helpful for providing amazing breakfast even for someone with difficult food intolerances like me! The owner gave us loads of tips on where to go and what to do, which we appreciated. It was really nice being slightly out of the craziness of La Paz, but close enough to go for the day. About 30-60mins to the city centre depending on mode of transport used and traffic. Also, slightly lower than La Paz, so good for altitude acclimatisation.||The tipi we stayed in was comfortable with warm bedding, useful as the nights were cold.||Really great start to our trip.

I recently had a wonderful and peaceful stay at Colibris Eco Lodge and camping. Exceptional location in the wilds of lower La Paz. The property is wonderfully thought out by the passionate owners Rolando & Emma a delightful Bolivian / British couple. They take great pride in a quality product and offer a variety of accommodations from simple Teepee tent rooms to well appointed houses suitable for families and even camping spots for the more intrepid. The property, grounds and amenities are kept in an impeccable condition, the showers and bathrooms are probably the most modern and clean that I have encountered in Bolivia. There is a well equipped kitchen and b-b-q area which guests are free to use. The breakfast which is included in most room rates is excellent; fresh and prepared with great care. There are numerous shaded seating areas for relaxing. Fire-pits and firewood are available. A tempting food Menu along with wines, beers and juices is on offer and prepared and served by attentive and very pleasant and welcoming staff. Colibris is a fantastic base to escape from hectic La Paz, but also has very easy access to the City via numerous minibuses or a combination of minibus and the truly astounding cable car system. Don't hesitate you will have a wonderful time :-)

Conveniently located only a short ride away from La Paz’s hustle and bustle, Colibri Camping is the perfect place to relax and recharge your batteries. The lodges are beautiful, clean, cozy and well equipped, and the views from there are truly breathtaking. We enjoyed lazing around in the hamacs, but there are also some great hikes and day trips that can be done in the area (e.g to the muela del diablo, valle de las ánimas…). Rolando and his team made us feel very much at home during our stay, highly recommend!
