Collaven Manor Hotel

On a roundtrip through southwest Engeland with my daughter, we stayed in this lovely country hotel for 5 nights. The reception was warm and friendly. Our room (at the back) was very big, with very comfortable beds, a desk/vanity table and a comfy sofa. The bathroom (with a great powerful shower! was very clean, as was the bedroom. It was so nice, sitting on the sofa in the morning, sipping our tea and looking out into the lovely gardens and the fields. The breakfast were fantastic, as was the efficient and friendly service. We found this hotel an excellent place to discover Dartmoor and the rest of the southwest (both north and south). Thank you, Jane and Jake, you made out stay a memorable one. Maybe we'll meet again!

My stay could not have been more comfortable. I was visiting a friend in care over 5 days and always received a warm and friendly welcome from Jakes and Jane when I returned in the evening for a drink in the bar. My bedroom was charming, spotless and gloriously quiet, breakfasts a joy to wake up to. I plan to visit again early next year and will certainly stay at Collaven Manor Hotel.

This is the second time we’ve stayed in this fabulous Manor House. Our beautiful room was perfect, a very comfortable bed and a gorgeous view over the gardens. Breakfast was excellent with local produce. The hosts were really welcoming. A perfect stay which we hope to repeat next year!

We stayed for 4 days in this wonderful building and enjoyed direct walking access to Dartmoor. The service is great with every care taken to meet your needs. As a B&B , I wondered about evening meals but a short drive to Tavistock or Okehampton gave us multiple options. Will return for sure.

Booked a one night stay on the way home from a week in North Devon. So glad we did as this Manor House is incredible as are the grounds! We received a lovely warm welcome and shown to a fantastic room with 4 poster bed overlooking the front grounds. Room was equipped with everything you will need. |The fruits/ cereals and the cooked breakfast in the morning was fabulous and set us up for the day. |Will definitely be back and wouldn't hesitate to recommend Collaven Manor to anyone! 5 stars!

This has to be one of the loveliest places we’ve stayed. The house was beautiful cosy and the warmest welcome from our hosts…spotlessly clean, four poster bed. Royal doulton china in room and at breakfast and so many other beautiful touches. The grounds are pretty and a real labour of love considering this amazing couple maintain everything themselves and do everything in the house too. |Breakfast very good and although very efficient in every way they have managed to give the guests a real chilled atmosphere! Well done to you both and we’ll definitely be back.

Lovely hotel, great hosts. My dog was allowed total run of the gardens, without being restricted to just one area. I was allowed to keep my dog in the bedroom while we went downstairs for breakfast. The room was gorgeous with amazing views. Bed was very comfortable. Breakfast was perfect. There are no negatives here. Will definitely return. 🥰

We just felt this was going to be a lovely place as we drove down the driveway with daffodils galore either side, then to see the beautiful views from the house.|We honestly could not fault this place, it was warm, very clean and comfortable. Jane and Jake are so accommodating and helpful. They seem to think of everything you need for a good stay. It's just the little things which impress like the bottled water and biscuits which are replenished everyday.|The breakfast was perfect too! We have already booked to go back in June as we want to return to see the gardens at Castle Drogo and other places nearby.
