On the Grid : Collective Espresso

"You won’t find any syrups or fussy flavors at Dave Hart and Dustin Miller’s café, just the best coffee and espresso beans prepared four of the purest ways – La Marzocco Strada, Chemex, V60 and Yama. Bar seating encourages community versus headphones-in solitude, making this the perfect morning stop. Tea and local baked goods are also available … and yes, the latte art is worthy of the ‘gram." - Empower

Collective Espresso in downtown Cincinnati offers a cozy vibe and quality coffee. We ordered a cortado and the lavender honey latte with oat milk, both were quite enjoyable. The flavors blended well, making for a satisfying coffee experience. Thank you!

Amazing coffee in the heart of OTR! Collective Espresso is a true gem – their craft coffee is always spot on. My family and I stopped by on a rainy day, and their rich, smooth espresso was just what we needed to brighten our morning. The ambiance is cozy, and the baristas are passionate about their craft, making every cup feel special. If you’re exploring OTR or just in need of a coffee pick-me-up, this place is a must-visit. Highly recommend!

Had an amazing boozy and fruity El Salvadoran batch brew (drip), and a nice light-roasted blend by Hex Coffee for a cappuccino! The pastries were nice, too!

This coffee shop is hands down absolutely some of the best coffee I’ve had. The baristas (especially Ashley) were so friendly and extremely talented at making a perfect cup of coffee. We are visiting from Portland, Oregon for a week and came here every single morning for our week stay. If you’re a picky coffee person, this is the place for you. Each cup is great every day.

With the name like collective espresso, one would expect the espresso would be out of this world, noteworthy, or at least a particular focus of the shop. While the espresso at collective espresso is fine, and it was a well pilled shot, it’s nothing noteworthy. When I asked the barista to tell me about the espresso, all she said was, “ I think it’s roasted in North Carolina. It’s a blend that we always use.”

Collective Espresso is a nice community coffee shop just off the park. The surrounding street Was under construction while we visited so it appeared closed but it is not! Got a latte and hot chocolate. Thought both were a solid 4, hot chocolate a little watery. Great customer service.

Cute lil coffee shop! Pretty small inside but plenty of outdoor seating and the atmosphere outside is super cute as well. Would be a great place to meet a friend in the summer! I loved my lavender matcha, my husband wasn’t a huge fan of his chai latte because it was more sweet than spicy. Unfortunately I wasn’t able to get a pastry due to cross contamination of pischatios, which I’m allergic to, but everything looked very delicious! Overall I would come here again!

This place is hilarious. They only offer one kind of coffee never a variety. Employees are mean to neighborhood homeless people. Owner won’t accept cash because he is anti homeless. Be a part of the neighborhood instead of alienating its residents. Just another gentrification.
