We stayed five nights at the Lady Hamilton Hotel between Christmas and NYE 2024. We selected the hotel for its location and it really can't be beat - right in Gamla Stan but around the corner from the main pedestrian fare. It is immensely walkable to all the sites. And because Gamla Stan is car free most of the time, we found the location to be quiet and restful. The rooms have a real charm - antiques and folk art make the spaces warm if quirky. The rooms we had (large doubles) were enormous, with modern bathrooms and lots of seating. Ample storage for clothes and luggage. Breakfast is lovely with lots of choices served in a slightly 'less' decorated room (not a problem at all). It can get busy around 8:30 but was a peaceful start to the day at 7am. We didn't use the sauna but it is available. The staff are warm, friendly, helpful and available 24 hours a day. We had such a lovely stay and highly recommend this hotel.

This hotel is in the old town which is cobbled streets (ladies don't wear heels!)full of wonderful restaurants shops and cafes. |It is not near the train station so you need a cab otherwise a longish walk!|It's a very beautiful Area.|Extremely near the Palace so great from that point of view.|Christmas time was very busy with tourists a slightly less busy time would have enhanced the experience. |During restricted hours No cars are allowed into the area so you have to walk to the main road for transport.just a few minutes. |Wheeling suitcases along cobbles is challenging and take a sturdy suitcase otherwise you may find wheels get damaged!|On arrival make sure you ask for ear plugs we regretted not asking this as we had 3 sleepless nights due to very very regular chiming of church bells which is right next door. |The bells chimes 10 times in an hour plus the hour it was!!! It's a lot!! |I would have thought ear plugs should be in the bathroom as a matter of necessity! |The staff are very nice especially the mature lady who serves in the restaurant so smiley and helpful.|The breakfast is delicious couldn't wish for better!|Shame hotel does not have a bar but apparently spa is very nice!|With hindsight of cobbles and bells I would stay again. |This hotel is very unique full of character and gave us a memorable stay.|Stockholm is a favourite city that everyone should visit!

Great location—we loved the bells (we also travel with earplugs and a sound machine)! The breakfast was better than most we’ve had elsewhere (we’ve been traveling throughout Scandinavia for a month). The room was a little tight and the place is a little worn but it was clean, friendly, well-run and worked for us. The front desk staff was helpful, particularly Zara, recommending restaurants, helping us get places, calling a cab, and just being friendly. Recommended!

We had a wonderful four-night stay at the Lady Hamilton Hotel last week. At the hotel, you are right in the midst of Gamla Stan. We spent a lot of time in or near Gamla Stan, so the location was perfect. It is easy to take the ferry to the Vasa Museum or the ABBA Museum. The metro station is not too far away so also easy to get to the Swedish History Museum. It is a little difficult to get the the hotel when you arrive. The taxis can only come into Gamla Stan at certain times of day. But it is worth the effort once you arrive. ||Our room was larger than I expected. It was also very comfortable. Our room faced the busy street so we could hear some noise. It didn't bother us at night. Coffee, tea, and water are available all day in the lobby. Breakfast had a wide variety of items and was delicious. I loved the Lady Hamilton Hotel and would stay there again if I returned to Stockholm!

This hotel is horrid. Locked in the 1970s like an old unloved hovel of curiosities. It is dark, dingy, and awful. There website shows images of nice rooms when infact the rooms are uncared for, have fabric wallpaper, no not lush and sumptuous, vile mustard coloured hempsack type wallpaper. There is no where to relax, no coffee facility in the rooms, and breakfast.. well the lack of care continues, small, dry withered food without appeal.|Say one nice thing... it was mostly clean. We booked 4 nights and left after one. They call themselves a hotel, at very best they are a back pack hostel, just avoid it, at all cost.

Great location in charming Gamlestan. |Breakfast was minimal but adequate and offers glucose/lactose alternatives.|No complaints about the room or bed but it was located close to a clocktower. Bring earplugs if you are a light sleeper. TV also needed a service.|Elevator fits only 2-4 people with luggage but is right beside the grand stairs.

I stayed at the Lady Hamilton for 5 nights. Overall, I think it was a good place to stay upon arriving in Stockholm. Typically small rooms and expensive like every place else in Stockholm it seems. The area has tons of good restaurants and cafes and is completely full of tourists all day long. So if you're looking for a quieter experience I would not stay in Gamla Stan. Free coffee and tea are provided in the lobby. Breakfast was delicious and plentiful. The front desk staff was usually very helpful. Beds were comfortable. Enough pillows were provided. TV has chromecast. Only thing I didn't like was the pillows smelled like they needed to be washed and the hand soap and body wash were full of chemicals and smelled absolutely horrible. Yuck. Also the room cleaning wasn't thorough. Do be advised that the church bells ring every half hour or so 24/7. And the street is very busy so bring earplugs and a sound machine.
