I stayed for a solo weekend in November 2025. As others have said, the place is amazingly well situated if you want old town, comfy, quirky and original - I loved the decoration. My room was smallish for a double but more than fine when you're out all day and moreso as I was alone. Confortable bed and the church clock bell I thought was a ambiental aspect and didnt bother me at all, though I heard it from time to time. I liked the bathroom, just with a shower, but with good hot water and a tastefull modern decoration. Breakfast was fine (good to get in early, quite full later). Nice helpfull staff. Would return!

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at the Lady Hamilton! The location was perfect. Convenient to everything in Gamla Stan and easy to get anywhere in Stockholm. The rooms were perfect and clean. The breakfast was amazing, with a wonderful variety. The staff was the highlight. So helpful and friendly. We highly recommend this hotel! One tiny note... get some earplugs from the front desk as the church bells do ring all night. With our earplugs it was a non-issue.

Really quirky hotel with so much character. The staff were all so happy, friendly and helpful. Breakfast selection was excellent. As per most other reviews our twin room was small but the beds were incredibly comfortable and we were as warm as toast. Plenty of hot water in the bathroom with hand soap and shower gel dispensers provided. Do take ear plugs as the bells from the cathedral next door go every 15 mins! One bell for quarter past, 2 bells for half past, 3 for quarter To and 4 bells for the top of the hour PLUS another bell sounds the actual number of hours. So for midnight you get 16 bells!!! The hotel is so close to the palace, literally a hundred metres. The main square is a couple of minutes walk abs Gamla Stan is really charming. Loved the break and world recommend this hotel as long as you’re aware of the above

We stopped here for dinner in August and my husband says it was his favorite Swedish meatballs of our entire trip. As a family of 4 we elected to sit outside in front of the hotel and eat at “Cafe Emma.” My daughter loved her Swedish pancake dinner and my other daughter had a flatbread pizza which was huge. I had some smoked salmon and it was very good although the portion was on the smaller side. We really enjoyed it. The street is a bit quieter than some but it was fun to people watch while we ate.

The elevator does NOT work. They didn’t help us from the reception to carry the suitcases up the stairs. They sell the rooms as doubles, but they’re for ONE PERSON. VERY SMALL AND UNCOMFORTABLE. Don’t be fooled by the ratings. The sheets and pillows smelled stale. The bathroom was okay. Few services for the high price it has. I DO NOT RECOMMEND IT.

You couldn't find a better location for all that Stockholm had to offer because it's in the centre of the centre of the city. The rooms are petite but cosy and comfortable and the shower is a power shower. The reception and dining room staff are excellent; so helpful. A special mention to Olavi for making us feel so welcome when we arrived.

Wonderful experience for me altogether. This quaint hotel has a lot of character and has many lovely - and traditional - antiques to marvel at. It is extremely well located in the oldest part of the city and within walking distance of all major sites and ferry departure spots. Breakfast is varied and fresh, with vegan and gluten-free options. Plenty of food options around. If rooms are not available there, check out the other 2 hotels, both in the same area, The Lord Nelson or The Victory, also owned and run by the same family.

The afternoon tea was abhorrent. Dry, tasteless and very little to eat for that price. Second time we gave the place a chance and somehow it managed to be worse.
