College Inn Bed & Breakfast

It was a nice Inn. We had big miscommunication the first time, but was rectified the second time just fine! There is not much "breakfast." My parents own a B&B, and have a lovely breakfast, as well as most we have stayed in. Just want to give everyone a heads up, you need to bring your own drinks, water too, and limited breakfast is offered. " Grab and go" I believe they call it. There were breakfast burritos in the freezer my daughter said were tasty. My husband likes OJ or something in the morning, but only generic coffee pods were available. Their coffee shop next door is ADORABLE!!!!!!!! Go there in the morning to hang out and get good coffee!!! Location is wonderful and rooms were very clean. Sheets were polyester and I do not do well with those kinds of sheets, they don't breathe well, so just a heads up there. Not sure if they are all like that? No living room to hang out in. Just a large table, in the green house at least. Overall a nice place to stay. Our expectations of a B&B just might be a little too high from past experiences. But, if you don't want to stay in a hotel, this is a good alternative.

Ultra convenient for our visit to Indiana Wesleyan University across the street. Very clean and charming, too. We stayed in the green house between the main white house and the coffee shop (I believe they own all 3 houses). We stayed on a weekday, so breakfast wasn't anything fancy, but it was good and beats having to go out! I'd stay there again.

What a great experience! I enjoyed the walkability and the accessibility to stores and restaurants. The coffee shop next door was a perfect space to work or to meet with friends or colleagues. The room, bathroom, and other areas of the home were clean and neat. A cozy atmosphere. Home away from home. I will definitely stay again.

Our family came up for a weekend visit with our daughter enrolled at IWU. We got room 10 with the 2 twin beds in addition to the queen. I have 16 and 17 year old boys and the extra space for them was just right. Breakfast was awesome and the text communications were perfect. I felt like they were available but not intrusive and we had great weekend! Thank you!

The convenience of being so close to IWU was what brought us to The College Inn. It was very clean. The bed and pillows were comfortable - I slept well. The breakfast is grab and go - which worked well for us. It was nice to have a space to order dinner and eat. The hosts were attentive.

My family and I stayed here for one night. Communication with the owners was excellent and everything was exactly as described. We arrived in the evening and were given instructions prior to arriving about where to park, how to get in and where our keys would be. Upon arriving we were quite pleased with the cleanliness of The College Inn. It's a cute and cozy place directly across the street from IWU. We ended up meeting the owner while we sat on the porch, just enjoying the evening. She introduced herself and was quite lovely to talk to. She told us if we needed anything to call or text! I highly recommend this place and would definitely stay again!

It was my first time staying here. My son was spending the night at a nearby college and, after a long day, I just wanted a clean bed and a little breakfast. This inn was much better than chain hotels in the area! I got a cozy single for myself. The linens were fresh but the soft chair in my room was uncomfortably lumpy. The private bathroom in my room was small (but how much space do you really need?) and, if you can, you’ll want to bring your own shampoo, conditioner, body wash and lotion. They supply fluffy towels and a hairdryer. I slept in a bit and made my own coffee pod in the kitchen and mic’ed a breakfast burrito which was tasty. I think there’s more breakfast selections on the weekends. Because I got in late at night and left not long after I got up, I didn’t fully experience all the College Inn offers, but I’ll look forward to staying here again sometime.

We were traveling to the area for a football visit at the college. We arrived super late at night and were pleased that everything was exactly as it was explained to us in advance. The room (#7) was cute and the bed was comfortable. It really felt like staying at a friends house. Breakfast was provided at the cafe next door. The ladies were so sweet and great to talk to and the breakfast was yummy. My football player son could have eaten more, but we were please to find that they also offered things like bagles, toast, yogurt, granola, and even frozen breakfast burritos in the kitchen at our house. We were pleased with our time here and will definitely recommend.

The perfect spot to stay if you are visiting a student attending IWU. House has security lock on the front door and each room has a different set-up with bathroom. We have access to kitchen which has some snacks and coffee in the morning, and breakfast provided on weekends. Very comfortable.

We stayed in our first bed and breakfast and it was wonderful. Even through this terrible time in our lives of corona virus. Jack Gardner made our stay heavenly. It was like home. The atmosphere was friendly and warm. We loved it so much we are considering leaving California and move to Indiana. The people we meet were friendly, considerate, kind and welcoming. Even while wearing masks. Everyone we'd meet became a new friend and Jack is now my brother from another mother. Anyone passing through should stop here and have a cup of joe with jack at "Jax's Place.

For two years in a row, our group made reservations with Jack nearly a year in advance. We had confirmation numbers even. And a bigger group made reservations recently for the same week in July, and he bumped us out--for the second year straight (for the same group). This is unconscionable. Once can be seen as a mistake; twice is not.

I had an absolutely fantastic stay; Jack (the owner) took my last minute reservation and got me set up with the room within seconds of me getting there. The room were very spacious and clean, not to mention it had a great view of the university. Jack can also make a mean breakfast over by the cafe next door; it really helped me get comfortable and well rested for my work. some things to note for any visitors who may be interested in visiting: while the inn does provide shampoo, conditioner and soap, you should definitely bring toothpaste! (i totally forgot to pack it so technically it was my fault lol). Overall the inn was a fantastic "homestyle" inn that i highly recommend for anyone who are looking for a place that is convenient for IWU.

A little over a week ago my wife was driving on the interstate near Marion, IN when her car spun out on some black ice. She called me in tears and didn't want to keep driving the remaining 3+ hours back to our home in Michigan. Not knowing exactly what to do I looked online and found a few local hotels and then this place, THE COLLEGE INN. I read a few reviews on google and called them to see if they had any room available for a last minute guest. Even though they had just had a very long wedding weekend, Jack and his wife went out of their way, invited my wife to meet them at a local restaurant where they were eating dinner, and then brought her back safely to their Inn. They quickly made up a room and a comfy bed for her to sleep in and hosted her graciously as if she were family. The next morning they made up a lovely breakfast and then gave her a discounted rate for the night. This wonderful couple was such a huge blessing and we can't recommend them enough! Thank you

We stayed overnight for an event at the university. This location could not be more convenient to the IWU campus. It is literally across the street! We stayed in the second home, which I think opened in 2016, and is next door to the original B&B. It was lovely and charming. The room was comfortable and cozy, with whimsical decorating touches. The room had a comfortable queen sized bed with flat screen TV and private bath. It's location on the second floor made this room quiet as breakfast is served downstairs for guests each morning. The food was delicious and the host (Jack) was friendly and hospitable. I hope it won't be long before we visit again. Highly recommended!

My name is Yolanda. I have a son attending Wesley university . I am staying at College Inn for one week and l have to write this review. I want to congratulate Jack for Capturing the feeling of home . This place gives you such a feeing of home it is really amazing it has taken me back to my teenage years where you stay with a family member and that cozy safe warm feeling you get .That is a very hard thing to capture and you have done it with such comfortable bed and cozy chairs and warm cozy blankets ..... l can go on and on not to mention Jack's incredible hospitality you will feel as if you know him for years ... Covid did not affect my stay at all this place is clean and just well just can't say more actually l can but l will just end it with it is a must stay place !!!!!! Thank you Jack for such a warm and safe family feeling place !!!!!!!!!!! You have done an incredible job will be staying here every time l am in town !!!!! Sorry they only had 5 stars l would hv given more :)

Our son is a freshman at Indiana Wesleyan University, which is directly across the street from The College Inn B&B. We found this little treasure while looking for a hotel during a "campus visit" his senior year. We have stayed at this quaint little place and look forward to many future visits. Get ready to be wowed at this not so average B&B! The Innkeepers go well out of their way to make sure you are well taken care of, like family. One of the best features to the Inn is the wrap-around porch where breakfast or dinner is served. We were able to pre-order our food the night before, which included gluten free requests too! The food was excellent and the service was outstanding. Each room (and bedroom) is beautifully decorated, offering its own personality. Each room includes a private bathroom and other amenities. Visit their website to view their photos to see the beauty of this place. I took a ton of pictures my first visit bc each area (living, kitchen, parlor, breakfast porch and bedrooms) boasts of a great country, cottage and warm feeling that we just love because we have incorporated the same into our own home. We highly recommend this place, but book well in advance of your event, because the secret is out and the rooms sell out fast! So, whether you are a visitor to the college and doing business at IWU or Taylor University down the street, or, are a parent visiting their student this is the perfect place for you!

Wooow. I would give you 10 out of 5 stars if I could. This is beyond a bed and breakfast, it's a home away from home, it's like meeting up with old friends. The impeccable cleanliness, the attention to detail (even the wifi password has thought behind it) the gorgeous, current décor.... Just out of this world outstanding!!! The breakfast was warm and delicious, generous portions and healthy, they even asked food allergies they can avoid for you. Brian, the Inn Keeper was quick to respond to my correspondence and was happy to accommodate my early check in. Jeff, you own a little piece of Heaven and your warmth and well wishes made me feel like I'd known you for years. I have never stayed at a more accommodating, beautiful place. Thank you, so very very much!!

We really love our stay here at the College Inn B&B! We've stayed here twice. The hosts are friendly and kind! This really is the best B&B we have ever stayed. The rooms are very clean, organized, and inviting; the breakfast simply tastes heavenly. We will come again in the future! Thank you, College Inn B&B! :)
