Nestled in a charming 15th-century convent on Cefalù Beach, this inviting spot offers simple yet comfy rooms with stunning sea views and a warm, welcoming vibe.
Breathtaking view, top location, heartfelt hospitality
The perfect base with the most beautiful panorama to explore the pearl of Western Sicily, Cefalù. We arrived on an unusually stormy, rainy evening in May, but the unique atmosphere of the Convent – a 15th-century historical gem – and the warm welcome of the Sister who manages the B&B quickly brightened our day.
Guest rooms are located on the upper floors of this vast property, literally above the sea, allowing you to enjoy the colors and sounds of the magnificent eternity at any time of day. Several terraces also offer breathtaking panoramic views of the sea and Cefalù. Since the Convent is perfectly situated at the end of the main street (Via Vittorio Emanuele), right next to the famous Porta Pescara and the city’s spiaggia, everything is just a stone’s throw away.
Our room, with en-suite bathroom, was simple and functional: comfortable enough for a good night’s sleep or a restful break during the day, in case you're staying for a longer vacation. (We booked our twin room at a more than reasonable price directly through the B&B’s website conventocefalu.com, and communication via email was super easy and fast.)
If you have any questions or requests, just turn to the Sister who manages the B&B, she is full of warmth and energy, and has deep knowledge of Cefalù’s many treasures.
If you seek uniqueness and authenticity as a traveler (at a great price), and don’t mind venturing off the beaten path, the Convent B&B of Cefalù is absolutely recommended.

Right on the beach and located just on pedestrian streets with many restaurants and shops. Room was clean and with a superb view of the ocean. There were also nice views from a balcony in the same floor of our room, and also from a terrace. There was a lift to go to our room and kitchen available to prepare/dine own food. Accomodation was accesible by car ( narrow streets) to drop luggage/registration and then park in a parking lot, about 10min walking. Very good accomodation on the beach in Cefalu.

Wonderful welcome from one of the nuns. Single room with an amazing sea view close to the restaurants and shops I wish I could stay longer than 1 night I will return. Not having breakfast until the morning so I can't comment on that yet but it's also a beautiful building once a lift

Fantastic value for money, warmly welcoming. Lovely atmosphere.|Outstanding housekeeping. Room cleaned daily. I stayed a week and my sheets were changed on day 4. Amazing roof terrace to practice yoga, tai chi etc, good for retreat leader bookings as well. The simple kitchen has everything you need and a lovely terrace next to it to eat and gaze over the bay. |Lots of rooms have sea views. My bed was super-comfy. The wifi connection is excellent.|Other guests were friendly, mainly women and international. It’s very peaceful compared with the lively tourist activity on the doorstep. You can make yourself a mini retreat here. Ideal for the single traveller but would suit families on a budget who want to be out and about.

Perfect place to stay in Cefalù at such a reasonable price (75 euro). The rooms are basic, the towels a little frayed but ours had an en suite bathroom, it was spotlessly clean and we heard the waves lapping below our window. There is a lift and a room where you can make breakfast or a simple meal. Stunning views on the bay from the terraces. The convent is in the middle of the old town, the beach literally outside its front door and the sea perfect for a swim; there's an excellent café just outside. The 3 nuns who run it were so sweet and friendly. Definitely recommend it.

We stayed one night in the covent.||The sisters are smily and warm. The location is perfect , in the heart of the city, litteraly on the beach, close to shops and restaurants. Though it remains a quiet place to sleep at.||The furnitures are basic but you everything we needed was there (common fridge / kitchen, elevator, private bathroom & towels....)||Last but not least, the rooftop is excellent especially at night. If you feel like resting in the sun and contemplating the horizon or admiring the city by night while enjoying the fresh air, it is the perfect place.

I paid the deposit (100€) through the bank account for three nights (315€) for the family of three. The daughter red some reviews telling about the smell and the mould in the premises. She is allergic, can't stay in this kind of surroundings. I tried to cancel the reservation for this reason. They didn't accept my explation and kept the money.

The beauty and exclusivity of the view are undeniable, it was truly special to have our room right next to the sea and to be able to have breakfast on that terrace. Regarding the accomodation, everything was very simple, plain and old. The cleaning service was excellent, but in the bathroom the paint was coming off because of the humidity. The website claims that there is breakfast, Wi-fi and that English is spoken at the front desk, but that was not the case. One of the nuns was latinoamerican, so my boyfriend and I could communicate with her in Spanish. Her tone was quite demanding when she explained to us that we had to return to the hostal at 11 the latest, it suddently felt like we were hosted at a cheap youth hostal. It was also the only place during our entire holiday in Sicily where they asked us to keep our ID´s during our whole stay, instead of making a photocopy, which was quiet incovenient. Overall the experience was quite good and the view is absolutely worth it, but the place is totally overpriced.
