Colmado y Carnicería Milka

We needed to re-provision our catamaran during our three-day journey around the Spanish Virgin Islands. We found Colmado Milka via Yelp and decided to give them a try. From our anchorage just offshore, we were able to dinghy to a dock located just 20 yards from the front door of the store. We were there via boat, but it was obvious from the customers in the store that there were many locals as well as tourists staying on the island shopping there. Colmado Milka is probably one of the best stocked stores in the Virgin Islands. It's not big, but the selection and variety were incredible. Everything we needed was available. The store has a well-stocked beer and liquor section too! There is also a meat department in the back. Check out was easy too, they take credit cards... the hardest part of the shopping trip was hauling everything back to the dinghy. It took three trips on the dinghy to get all the supplies and personnel back to the catamaran. Colmado Milka was a great find on this trip. Recommend the store whether you find yourself on Culebra by boat or airplane. The store will likely have everything you need.

This grocery has a developing world feel and they have to buzz you in. That surprised us as our stay on the island seemed very, very safe all the way through. It is small and packed, but they had absolutely everything we needed to make our meals for the week. Their boxed fruit juices and price point white rum made excellent drinks. The high point was their flank steak! Their meat market is very basic but the flavor of our steaks was TREMENDOUS when grilled at our villa. Mostly, their offering is not priced at the shelf so we were nervous about the cost. When it all rang up, it was more expensive than the mainland US equivalent, but very fair for being on an island that is off an island. We ended up coming back three or four times once we discovered that their main competitor has a limited selection to the point that we couldn’t get what we wanted.

Island store that has anything you need! We were surprised to see some nice imported cheese, great selection of drinks and all you need to have a great vacation! Thank you!

A very well stocked general store with good quality fresh produce at decent prices. There is a dinghy dock around the back. 2 large fresh chicken breast $5.40, 1lb of good quality ground beef $5.67, large box of fresh Spinach $5.90 Also has a good selection of diy hardware items.

Nice supermarket which is bigger than expected once you are inside. Prices are a little higher than main land but it cost money to drag all these goods over to the island. I stayed at this great hotel Posada La Hamaca next to the bridge so this super market was a minute walk away to getting waters, chips, juice etc before and after the beach.

Never seen so much crammed into such a tiny space. Excellent selection of about everything. Good chuleta and produce. Very nice people.

Whatever you need, they probably have it. Best place to get meat on the island. Nothing has prices on it which is really annoying, but there is a price scanner in the middle of the chaotic shop that you can scan items on.
