Coloane Inn

It resembles more closely a bed and breakfast than a four star hotel - however - with that in mind, there is a lot to love. The rooms are not modern but they are large and clean, include a large bath tub, and the property has a lot of old Macau Portuguese character. Note; pool is currently empty meaning swimming impossible. Be sure to spend a little while wandering the nearby town of Coloane.

Pro: The room was clean upon arrived. The view from my room was amazing. You can have a coffee in balcony while enjoying the view. The breakfast also delicious. The staff also polite and very friendly. She help me to book a taxi to the airport.Cons: Location far from city, also need to climb a stair/hill to go to bus stop from the hotel. Overall, my stay was good and feel relax. Will come again next time.

A legit 4* hotel. An old premise but well maintained. All rooms are beach facing. Cleaning is thorough. Breakfast is included but variety is limited - not a big deal to me. Staff is friendly and will help arrange taxi since the place is quite remote.

Very nice location facing to the ocean which was very quiet and relaxing. It’s a bit away from the city centre but it’s well worth. The room was spacious but it’s dated and needed some maintenance. The breakfast was tasty and the staff were very attentive and friendly. Overall we had a nice stay.

It’s far from Macau’s central commercial area. No casino no entertainment. Even catch the taxi is difficult, need to call. But environment is amazing. Like ocean shore cottage. If you wanna forget all business task. This accommodation is work. Even close the window on balcony you can hear the sound of the wave. Definitely I will use next time for back mountain trekking purposes next time, again.

Decent place for stress reduction. Watched sunset and listened to sounds of waves in the balcony. Friendly staff makes one feel at home. Cosy in-house atmosphere, Beautiful gardening and swimming poolside facilities allow one's relaxation and revival. Nice breakfast in the comfortable dining hall.. Public transport is easy to reach the town, 10 min to Coloane, 30min to Taipao and 45 min to Macau by bus. Recommended for the physically capable.Without lift, accessibility may have to be considered. Bath tub deep, hv to be cautious for the smaller sized guests.

I was satisfied with this hotel and am already looking forward to coming back again! The location is nice, in the bosom of nature. There was a nice balcony in our room, and we could enjoy the sound of the sea. Though the Pousada can seem to be situated far from the old city centre, it is convenient to use the buses to get there. For example, it took us about 1h to get to Pousada from the ferry terminal, and we didn't spend more than 30 mins to get to the centre.Unfortunately, during our stay the Ragasa typhoon was active, thus we had to stay in the room for the whole day. The hotel was operating: the breakfast was served to the rooms and in the evening we managed to have dinner in the restaurant. However, the restaurant is rather expensive: I would prefer it to be cheaper in case if I don't have other opportunities to have a meal. Although, I must mention that they have special offers for lunches and dinners.The staff were quite nice. They helped us with ordering a taxi, which could be not that easy for the guests.The pool is good, though due to Ragasa we had only one chance to use it. The same concerns the Cheoc Van beach.Overall, I would recommend this nice place to anyone willing to enjoy the spirit of colonial Portugal in Macau.

This is a hidden gem by all means: 1. The location, nested in the jungle, is amazing 2. The place offers sea views, a large swimming pool, comfortable rooms, and... 3. A great restaurant which arguably much better than the famous Fernandos 4. Not mentioning the staff kindness and professionalism! If you want a chill escape in Macau, just go! (And you are just 15 mins cab away from the first casinos, like Studio City)
