An excellent concert hall. Clear, enjoyable acoustic. Opening hours limited to event timing, you can’t wander in for a coffee.

Amazing concert hall design. Even from the furthest rows you can still see the stage clearly and the sound reflects beautifully, not too loud or too small. I got a chance to go around during the break to see from different seat sections. Every seat view offers different unique perspectives and I love the design of the hall for that! The concert I attend was on June 23 and it was my first time hearing Bolero live. Glad to be able to see it at Cologne Philharmonie hall.

Had a great time listening to the Köln Men's Choir there twice - for the Christmas 2024 show and their Schubert show in June 2025. The Philharmonie is a great space, with a cloak check-in for free, washrooms on the lower levels, and a flower arrangement in the centre, which seems to be a popular spot to click pictures.

Incredible auditorium. The sound quality throughout the venue was amazing, and the seats were very comfortable. The players themselves are all so skilled, the two soloists in particular were a sight to behold. Also shout-out to the viola section (specifically first chair), who really brought out that rich, deep sound of the instrument with every note they played. The first viola section I've seen in a while who brought out that unique aspect of the instrument. The conductor was also awesome, showing genuine enthusiasm for each piece she conducted. The lobby was very well-designed, with tons of coat check booths, clean toilets, and reasonably priced beverages.

We had a slight delay for 10 minutes because of DB but they let us in, in between an applause. The place is amusing, people are stylish. The building itself is a masterpiece. If you are also a student it is mostly a big discount but you need to buy the tickets online.

Inaccessible. Not only was the public lift out of order, the staff lift they let us use only delivered us to stadium-style seating. Not a single row in the house can be reached without steps! Poor design. Performance was fine and ticket prices are a good buy, but be prepared to tackle many stairs to get to your seat.

Been there several times. Great acoustics, very rich programm and really good prices compared to other Philharmonies in Germany (I am looking at you Munich!)

Amazing Concert Hall, amazing acoustic, very well organized. The assistants don't understand a word of english, so it was hard to understand if i was allowed to take pictures before the concert.
