One of the best live performances i saw. It was my first time watching Tigran Hamasyan.

I came here to see Grigory Sokolov performing solo. I regret not having attended concerts in this specific hall earlier in my classical music listening journey. I visited Berlin philharmonie and Elphilharmonie and this one is on par with those two impressive halls in terms of interior aesthetic and acoustic (it looked more normal on the outside). Bonus: The pianist gave us 6 encores that delighted and blew everyone away. Everyone freely cheered and clapped after every encore and aftet the second one I joined in the wild cheering and high pitched screaming I had a wonderful time here.

An excellent concert hall. Clear, enjoyable acoustic. Opening hours limited to event timing, you can’t wander in for a coffee.

Amazing concert hall design. Even from the furthest rows you can still see the stage clearly and the sound reflects beautifully, not too loud or too small. I got a chance to go around during the break to see from different seat sections. Every seat view offers different unique perspectives and I love the design of the hall for that! The concert I attend was on June 23 and it was my first time hearing Bolero live. Glad to be able to see it at Cologne Philharmonie hall.

Incredible auditorium. The sound quality throughout the venue was amazing, and the seats were very comfortable. The players themselves are all so skilled, the two soloists in particular were a sight to behold. Also shout-out to the viola section (specifically first chair), who really brought out that rich, deep sound of the instrument with every note they played. The first viola section I've seen in a while who brought out that unique aspect of the instrument. The conductor was also awesome, showing genuine enthusiasm for each piece she conducted. The lobby was very well-designed, with tons of coat check booths, clean toilets, and reasonably priced beverages.

We had a slight delay for 10 minutes because of DB but they let us in, in between an applause. The place is amusing, people are stylish. The building itself is a masterpiece. If you are also a student it is mostly a big discount but you need to buy the tickets online.
