very friendly atmosphere, good service. I went on a 4 days vacation with my family and my son in law recommended this restaurant. his family go there frequently and they love the service. Danny is the star of the restaurant, very pleasant and care about the customers satisfaction. he's amazing. Also the owner, Gerald made sure we were satisfied about everything. he's very pleasant too. I recommend frozen passion fruit lemonade and the frozen cherry lemonade. the food they have a lot of variety all good. we went for breakfast and lunch the 4 days we were there

Amazing night with Danny at the restaurant! We reserved the table and it was beautifully prepared nd setup. The food is excellent with extremely tasty flavor and huge portions! 6 of us cannot finished 5 entries. It’s just so good!

Colombian Mountain Cafe is an absolute gem in Fort Lauderdale. The steak picanha, grilled shrimp and plantains were incredible… perfectly cooked and full of flavor. But honestly, the service from Luna made the entire experience even better. She was warm, attentive, and made us feel like family the whole time. We’ll definitely be recommending this spot to friends and will absolutely be coming back again!

Fernanda our server was so awesome. She had extensive knowledge on the menu and a pleasant demeanor. The food was fantastic, every single dish was a hit. The bean casserole was very filling and all the sides made you want to order more for later. The drinks had a beautiful presentation but tasted even better. I’m so glad we wondered here I would definitely visit again!!!

This place was so yummy. The staff was super friendly and nice. We didnt have a wait. We did the brunch and it was pretty cheap. On top of that, all the food was delicious! The pan de Bono melted in your mouth! Definitely recommend

Santiago saw us looking in the window and came outside to invite to view the menu. He then seated us and guided us through the menu with astute recommendations. The food arrived quickly. The quality was fantastic, but the presentation of each dish was something to behold. Girrard, the owner, stopped over to welcome us, then engaged in conversation as if we were long lost friends, pausing occasionally to greet arriving guests. Colombia Mountains Cafe is now a must stop for us in Ft. Lauderdale.

This places is by far the best Colombian restaurant I've ever eaten at. The atmosphere was good. The staff were excellent and they went above and beyond with their services. My waiter was Danny and he was awesome! Will definitely recommend! The food was BOMB!

This place is a hidden gem. The staff is super welcoming and friendly. The food is on another level of goodness. The sancocho tastes like it's been brewing for hours, so many good flavors! We've had the shrimp ceviche, the mixto grill, the whole fried fish. They also have this coconut lemonade that's out of this world delicious. We've been three times so far. It's becoming one of my favorite local spots! Definitely recommend this place!

We had another great meal at the Colombian Mountains Cafe in the Galt. We all shared a Bandeja de Montaña, which came with steak, pork belly, red beans, rice, arepas, avocado and sweet plantains. We also got some chicken empanadas (which have a ground up chicken filling, not shredded). The service was excellent. All staff was friendly and pleasant. The food was really good and the flavors were all on point. During certain nights of the week, like Saturdays for example, they have Live Music.

I suppose I'm going to be the outlier here and be the one to rate this place as average at best, but after four visits, I think I'm qualified to do so. It is however, with some regret to only leave three stars, but it has to be done. I will say that the staff has always been very pleasant while the service was lacking a bit. On our last and probably final visit, we ordered two entrées and a pan con queso. The entrees arrived but no bread, so we ate and waited. The owner was outside talking to some other customers and stopped by to ask if we need anything, to which we replied: yes, our bread, please. He said OK, left, and then came back to talk to the customers again. The waitress did not come back out to check on us since they now have a call system (outside tables) to buzz waitstaff if you need anything. Not really helpful to me and the new electronic menus are clunky and poorly laid out. When the check arrived, what do you think was on the bill? The bread that never arrived. It was not any hassle at all, but it would've been nice to get it and an apology. At least they took it off the bill without any issue. Interestingly, my entrée was the best this time of all four visits. I suppose it's hard to screw up steak and rice with a side salad. Last few times empanadas were disappointing. The Pan Con Queso was great the one time we actually got it. Otherwise, it's a nice place, but just not for us anymore.

The ambiance outside was nice however the wait time for food takes awhile. Mostly our main dishes came before the appetizers. I would rate the food 3.8 out of 5 but the staff was friendly and attentive to the best of their ability as it was packed. The empanada filling was a little mushy too my liking.

I was so busy stuffing my face that I didn't get a photo of everything but liisssttteeennn... I came in to try the coffee and left with a tummy so full I'm going to need to walk a few miles. The empanadas are fire and the chorizo and tostone dishes are delicious as well. The sauces they put at the table, I did some serious damage to as I dipped EVERYTHING in them. Not a Florida resident, but this place is definitely being saved for a revisit. Service was also outstanding. Check them out. You won't be disappointed!

La comida estuvo muy agradable, porciones muy acordes al precio. El servicio muy acertado, una atención muy completa teniendo en cuenta que solo vi una food runner y un solo mesero para los pedidos. Fui con un grupo grande (11 personas) y la comida se demoro más de una hora en salir y en lugar de servir la mesa al tiempo, la comida salió con intervalos de tiempo largo entre cada plato. Un ambiente agradable para tomar un almuerzo colombiano en Miami.

A jewel of a find! The food is authentic and delicious! Great menu and a lot of choices there to browse....tough to make a decision. They specialize in visually fun drink ideas....everything from sweet to salty, I enjoy the salty passion fruit combo You have a choice of indoor or outdoor seating, also there is a large meeting room available for events or entertainment. The staff....they are all simple the very best, you will feel like your at a family dinner. Breakfast, lunch and dinner.... Last but not least the authentic Colombian coffee is perfection making this a must go stop for a big breakfast and a cup of rich roasted Colombian coffee.

The food here is delicious! I've been twice with my wife and once with our baby and every time we've had a great time. Make sure you get one of their special lemonades they're so good you'll want to go back again to try more

What a delightful and wonderful dining experience at Colombian Mountains Cafe on my very first visit. Special shoutout to the amazing staff , Katherine, Diana, Camila & Carolina whom all were courteous, friendly and professional. The interior dining area is spacious and comfortable. My fav dish of course was the Bandeja Paisa, my go to when traveling and sticking to my one meal day plan. The food was super tasty, seasoning was perfect and everything was very fresh. Colombian food fans unite and stop by here for a great meal. Looking forward already for my return...Buen provecho!

My fiance and I came here for dinner on our last night in Florida and we were BLOWN away. From the service to the food our experience was a 10/10. Our server was so friendly and nice and gave us complimentary drinks with our food. I can see why this place is rated so high it is amazing. We sat outside and the patio is very nice but the birds are very bold. The inside was cute and nice as well.

Wow, what a treat! We're no strangers to the plaza, but this was our first time dining here and we're sad we hadn't visited sooner. The storefront doesn't have a huge presence, but you can't miss it with the Colombian flag waving out front. We saw one table left outside and were seated right away. We didn't see much of inside, but it seemed pretty spacious. We started with the empanadas; one of each, and then had the chuleta and the bandeja paisa. Both were delicious with huge portions! We ate what we could and took the rest home. We also made the delicious mistake of not sharing a lemonade, because they were huge! We couldn't finish our own lemonades but both were oh so good and at least we got to try two different flavors. Overall, if you're looking for a yummy authentic meal with great service, this is it!

Flew into Ft Lauderdale for a cruise. Love taking advantage of coming to S. Florida for all the great Latin food. Colombian Mountain Cafe did not disappoint!!! We ordered through DoorDash and had our order within 35-40 minutes. Wife and mother in law had the small sampler plate and I had the Bandeja Montaña along with 3 empanadas that I ate for breakfast the following morning. Everything was delicious with my only suggestion would be the red beans needed a bit more salt. Or at least provide some with the order. But as I said, everything was delicious and will order from them again when we are down this way!

I came to this beautiful restaurant to eat with my husband and I have to say, this place is perfect, the food presentation is beautiful and the taste is amazing. Ana was our server and she was so sweet and polite. Also, Juan was very welcoming and friendly. We really enjoyed this place.

Today I ordered the Churrasco steak that came with a salad, and I had two empanadas, one beef and one pork, that I split with my friend. She happens to be Colombian and she loved this meal and everything around it. Myself, on the other hand, I enjoyed the salad, but that was about it. The meat was cooked too much and dry, the empanadas were missing something, Colombian food is not my cup of tea. Everybody around me was enjoying their food so I can't hold it against the restaurant since I don't enjoy Colombian food. Based on her experience, it would be a recommendation, on my experience I will hold back on recommending. The ambience was excellent, and the service was very slow.

Where do I begin... this was the best Colombian food I've had outside of Colombia proper!!! The high reviews are truly earned. To top it off, the ladies tending to us were incredible... Ideanys and Camila are sweethearts. We got to sample different apps and drinks since it was our first time.... Incredible!! So good! The ambiance was cozy with great latin tunes playing to complete the experience! As for the food we ordered, the Montañero dish was hearty and enough for 2 people, the fried fish... delicious and the chicken breast dish... super tasty!! Not one disappointment. Their slogan "where eating tastes like home" is spot on!

Wow! We literally just left and had the best experience Not only was the food delicious but the service was amazing! They gave us empanadas on the house as a starter to try which was a great touch Juan our server was incredible and suggested for us to get the coconut lemonade which was probably the best part of our meal. We also shared the mixed parrillada, it comes with 2 sides of choice. We chose the fried yuca which was great and the sweet plantain. We also decided to add white rice as an added on side and it was perfect for the two of us. I do wish it came with arepas though but either way it was really good For dessert we tried the flan and honestly it was the best flan we've had in Miami so far We'll definitely be back to try more of their frozen lemonades and other items on the menu soon

Delicious lunch or dinner spot! My friend and I stopped by on a Wednesday night and the inside was not too busy. The service was amazing and our server was very attentive. We ordered two empanadas to start and they also gave us two mini ones complimentary. Mixed with their cilantro and hot sauce the flavors were incredible! For entrees we ordered the mountain platter and breaded chicken both of which were outstanding. Our only complaint was the ground beef on the mountain platter was a little dry/powdery. They also have these amazing lemonades on the menu, we didn't order them but next time we definitely will. The inside looked clean and welcoming. We will return!

We stumbled upon this place on accident in the parking lot of our favorite Italian restaurant. On a last minute whim we said what the heck...let's try Colombian instead. So glad we did because it was unforgettable. Don't be put off by the decor albeit dark and quirky inside the food and staff definitely make up for it. Our waiter Juan C was just as great as the food. He was passionate about his menu and made great suggestions. We started with what they call "lemonade" in passion fruit flavor (see pic) unbelievable taste and was massive in size. Great server, he explained us the menu so well that we tried dishes like the Chuleta empanizada and his recommendation were accurate to the description of the dish so delicious, he's the reason why we're coming back!! We absolutely love this place! We've stayed a few times at the Residence Inn Il Lugano on the intercostal just a block away and enjoy the coffee. The Columbian Coffee is an indulgent treat and one that I highly recommend trying out. Every time we walk by, this place is packed with Columbian folks, an excellent sign when dining at an ethnic restaurant. The service is delightful and the food is so wonderful. I particularly enjoy sitting outside and taking in the fresh air.

I couldn't even get inside the door. This place has zero atmosphere. From the ugly tables and chairs to the bare walls and bad lighting I was so turned off that I left. Maybe the food is good but I had no desire to experience it in this place.

Great service. All kind and quick. I came for their bakery items. I got cheese pastry, pandemonio, bunuelo, empanadas de Carne , chicharrón and cortadito. Everything came out fresh. The empanadas and cheese pastry were my favorite. The place is very clean, modern and simple. Colombian music plays in the background and it's cozy. I have to come back for dinner.

Really like this place! Prices are fair and many options on the menu. I ordered the Lime frosted juice which was very refreshing. Also since it was morning got the French toast and scrambled eggs, excellent. And asked for a double espresso which was on point. Highly recommend! Will be back. I like to try a place a few times before giving 5 stars; consistency:). Would be a good place for an after beach meal.

We were doing errands in the area and stopped here for lunch. We sat outside as it was a pleasant day -- sunny but cool in the shade. The only real negative was near the end of our meal when some guys a half block away lit up some stinky cigars -- not the fault of the restaurant. I ordered their grilled chicken sandwich having read some positive reviews online about it. It came on slightly sweet bread. There was a slice of tomato and some pieces of lettuce plus a few strips of chicken on each half. All was topped with melted cheese. A creamy aioli sauce was dolloped on the plate and on the sandwich. It was good -- but I wished there was more chicken and less cheese. He got a bowl of their chicken soup and a side of their bread. The bread was the same sweet style as my sandwich and had the same type of melted cheese in it. The bowl of soup was large, but served lukewarm. He was too hungry to send it back and wait any longer (it was not fast food service here), so he ate it anyway. There were a lot of potatoes in it. He said it was good, but would have been better if served hot. It's always fun to try different types of cuisines -- here, Colombian -- and I'm glad we came. Now we know.

I love this place! We stopped in for a quick snack and a drink on a Sunday night and has a lovely visit. They had a violinist playing to pop music, service was prompt and friendly from Camila, and everything we order was delish! My favorite part was my frozen passion fruit mojito... make with fresh fruit it was the perfect drink to cool me off. Can't wait to come back!

As I was driving down the road, the logo for Columbian Mountain Cafe caught my eye. I always classified "Cafes" as coffee and sandwiches, but don't let that fool you. This little gem has so much more to offer. The staff is so welcoming and helpful (special shout out to Helena and Juan for taking great care of me). It felt like walking into a relative's home. The decor is darling, the music made my soul smile, and the menu has something for everyone. I usually eat the same dishes, so I asked Helena for her recommendations. Wow, her service and the suggested meal were out of this world. The presentation of my Cafe Con Leche, Panecok Pollo Y Champinones (tender chicken, mushrooms, in a most delicious white sauce served in a bread bowl), and Dulce De Leche (Carmel dessert that tastes like heaven) all taste even better than they looked. I will come back next time I am in town. Give it a try; I know you will love it.
