Colombo Bilbao

After having been abroad for six days. It was nice to have a meal that taste like home-cooked food. I had the lasagna it was out of this world probably one of my top 10 best lasagnas ever. I recommend the salmon, and I recommend guacamole, it’s avocado tartare menu.

Colombo was WONDERFUL. We only had a few days in Bilbao and so didn’t get a chance to check out too many restaurants but our first visit here left such an impression that we had to come back before left. Great service with very friendly servers. Both my friend and I who were traveling together speak Spanish, but English menus were available the servers we had also spoke pretty good English. The vibes were great and I’d definitely come back here the next time I’m in Bilbao!

The mushroom risotto was quite nice, but the star of the show was the torrija. Absolutely delicious. As we didn’t have a reservation and it was the weekend were sat outside so the service was a little slower but still good and the staff were very friendly and helpful and we were grateful they were able to seat us at all. The interior of the restaurant is lovely as well.

I've been here a couple times and had good meals. Both times in late afternoon when I needed a snack. This is Spain where the customary dinner hour is after 9 pm so when I arrived I was the only one there. The menu is multi ethnic with dishes like curry, Thai mango salad, masala and such. I welcome those items on the menu as a nice change from the usual pinxtos or Basque/Spanish foods that are commonly served everywhere. On my second visit I tried the bacon cheeseburger with fries and it was quite good. The service was provided by nice young ladies. I would recommend you try Colombo Restaurant. I'm going back to try the Masala.

It was Saturday night and we had no booking anywhere...we did find a table at Colombo though. Decent food, nothing special - I had a Peruvian dish, which had nice gravy to the gravy, a tad spicy too. Service pleasant, decent enough inside.

Six people at the table and three had to return their food as inedible. Two were misdelivered and the last got hers twenty minutes after the rest of us ate.

Great main dish and even better deserts!! Music in the restaurant was nice and also a very friendly waiter. Good place to go if you don’t want to casually go out for dinner. Also much choice on the menu!

Good food though a bit pricy Terrible music and too loud for lunch time. Not very experienced staff. We order bread that was not served. Asked to please low the music, didn’t do it. Tried to order dessert but after too much time waiting decided to leave.
