Colombo Bilbao

Walked in at 8pm without a reservation and got a table. Servers were great and food was fairly good. Not pictured was a burger that is a popular choice, but it was not to my liking.

It’s quite cozy, but the food was mediocre at best. Apple tatin’s caramel was burnt, so it was bitter, unfortunately.

The mushroom risotto was quite nice, but the star of the show was the torrija. Absolutely delicious. As we didn’t have a reservation and it was the weekend were sat outside so the service was a little slower but still good and the staff were very friendly and helpful and we were grateful they were able to seat us at all. The interior of the restaurant is lovely as well.

After having been abroad for six days. It was nice to have a meal that taste like home-cooked food. I had the lasagna it was out of this world probably one of my top 10 best lasagnas ever. I recommend the salmon, and I recommend guacamole, it’s avocado tartare menu.

Possibly the worst food & service I’ve experienced in a very long time😩 I had the burger which was so sloppy & cold that it was possibly soaked in a cold bath b4 serving The chips were like the bits I throw away at home from the oven chips frozen bag as there too sharp to eat Also stone cold. Service was shocking. No eye contact. No enquiry as to food experience etc I’m Usually loathed to give poor reviews post covid ( as all businesses need our sympathy) but this was beyond a joke 😂

Colombo was WONDERFUL. We only had a few days in Bilbao and so didn’t get a chance to check out too many restaurants but our first visit here left such an impression that we had to come back before left. Great service with very friendly servers. Both my friend and I who were traveling together speak Spanish, but English menus were available the servers we had also spoke pretty good English. The vibes were great and I’d definitely come back here the next time I’m in Bilbao!

Great main dish and even better deserts!! Music in the restaurant was nice and also a very friendly waiter. Good place to go if you don’t want to casually go out for dinner. Also much choice on the menu!

Rash decision to go to this restaurant. The deco is nice and ambiance is very pleasant. Ordered the salad with fried goat cheese 😍 and pad thai 🤪 Yeah, crazy to order pad thai here. Definitely not good 😝😝😝 (I had an urge to eat fried noodles 😃)
