Visited the Colombo Lotus Tower and the blue orbit restaurant. overall vibe was genuinely impressive. The view of the country from up there is beautiful and the whole setup feels very well put together. We went to the restaurant and the ambience was amazing. The rotating table with the city view made the whole experience feel special. The food was spot on and tasted really good, and the staff were very welcoming and professional. The only drawback was the washroom, especially the men’s one. It definitely doesn’t match the standard of the rest of the place. But aside from that, the atmosphere, the food, and the overall experience were really worth it. A great spot to celebrate something memorable with an incredible view.

Visiting the Colombo Lotus Tower is an experience that mixes modern ambition with architectural symbolism. Rising prominently above Colombo’s skyline, the tower is designed to resemble a lotus flower—a culturally meaningful symbol of purity and growth. Its sleek green stem and petal-like crown add elegance to the cityscape, especially when lit up at night. The tower offers more than just a striking exterior. Inside, there are multiple levels housing a telecommunications museum, exhibition halls, and leisure spaces. One of the most exciting attractions is the observation deck, which gives panoramic views of Colombo and Beira Lake from a height. Another highlight is the revolving restaurant—dining there while slowly rotating offers a continually changing vista of the city, making every meal memorable. The structure also serves its practical purpose as a broadcasting and communications hub, which helps integrate utility with tourism. Some of the interiors and facilities are state-of-the-art, though in parts you can notice that it’s still a relatively new project, and there may be growing pains in staff management, crowd handling, or maintenance. Overall, the Lotus Tower stands as a landmark of ambition for Sri Lanka. It’s worth visiting for the views, the architectural design, and as a symbol of modern Colombo. If you have limited time, make sure to go during late afternoon or early evening so you can catch daylight views and also see it illuminated after dusk.

Visiting Colombo Lotus Tower was an amazing and memorable experience. The best time to visit is between 5 PM to 7 PM, where you can enjoy daylight, sunset, and night views all in one go. The 360 degree view of Colombo is truly breathtaking arguably the best in the city. The service and guidance were good, and the overall experience was smooth and enjoyable. However, there’s still room for improvement. The ground floor area could be enhanced by adding more interactive activities, shops, and cafés, which would elevate the visitor experience further. Highly recommended for anyone looking to enjoy a panoramic view of Colombo with a relaxing and peaceful vibe.

The Sri Lanka Lotus Tower is a must-visit spot for those who want to enjoy a breathtaking view of Colombo city from a great height. From the top, you can see the entire skyline, the ocean, and the city lights beautifully. The entry ticket for locals is Rs. 500, and you must carry a valid ID card or driving license to enter. The place is well-maintained, modern, and perfect for photography or an evening visit.

The Lotus Tower is the tallest structure in Sri Lanka and one of the tallest towers in South Asia. It is located in Colombo and is designed in the shape of a lotus flower, which symbolizes purity and unity. The tower is mainly used for communication and broadcasting purposes. It also has an observation deck that offers a beautiful panoramic view of Colombo city, especially at night. Tallest tower in Colombo. A popular place to visit. You can get a 360 degrees view of city of Colombo. We visited the Blue Orbit rotating restaurant. They have a buffet during lunchtime 12pm-3pm and also at night (times unknown at the time). Making an advance booking is a must. Good variety of food. Unique experience. Per person price is not that bad compared to other similar restaurants. Good friendly team of staff. Toilets are good and clean.

Lotus tower is symbol of Colombo and you can see it in a lot of views when you are in Colombo. So visiting it from near is so interesting. You can spend time here and take nice photos with it. If you want to go up you need to pay 20$. Inside the tower there is a shop where you can buy souvenirs of Sri lanka. Recommend to visit here.
