Chocolate churros for breakfast my local friend said! Not to my taste but I loved the total food experience here in this Almeria institution. Was full of animated locals of all ages except kids. Classic old skool. Stood at the bar and was great!

My friend took me to breakfast here and I ordered the hot chocolate and and what I wanted was a Spanish omelette but got a fried egg on a toasted half of a baguette which was fine. It also comes with some tomatoes and a pottle of olive oil. It was very already very hot but we sat outside as there was no room indoors. I kind of like how hot chocolate is served in Almeria and I enjoyed mine. It was quite busy when we were there so possibly quite a popular café. Good location as it wasn't too far from my hotel.

Café Bar Colon is an institution in the center of Alméria. The food is tasty. Specially la Carne con tomate who remind me the one my grand mother was making. The service is quick and professional. The churros are the best we eat during our stay. Good quantity and good flavor, not the super sweet sugar coated tourist one! The bill is very good surprise for the quantity and the quality of the tapas. A classic!

The food and atmosphere is so good. I recommend grassy churros with chocolate.

I have been going to this bar since 1990 and I still find its one of the most convenient places to meet up. I recommend the churros con chocolate!
The waiter had an excellent attitude!

We asked for the menu, and they just said NO 😁
It was weird to order without a menu, without knowing the prices and everything. But we were super happy at the end. €1.50 for coffee and €2.50 for churros, all with great quality. Definitely going back there
