I was in Suva for 6 weeks on a medical student elective placement. Initially I wasn't in great accommodation on the other side of Suva, but luckily a friend put me on to this place. I moved here and it was the best decision I made. ||The moment I arrived to check the place out, I found it clean and very welcoming, with me being shown all the rooms available and the staff being extremely pleasant and accommodating. I moved in as soon as I could and found that the traveler environment suited me a lot, with there always being someone to talk to as well as lots of places i could hide away to do a bit of work. The owner was constantly looking for ways to improve the place and peoples stays there, and she was lovely to chat to and always willing to provide advice about shops and travel locations. Furthermore it was good value, and walking distance from the shops and the hospital.||The room i booked was one of the single rooms they had available downstairs, and it was clean, had a desk, power, shelves and all the stuff you need as a traveler. The other rooms available included more single rooms, a cottage, a tree-house and dorms. I recommend contacting the owner if you are interested as she will give you a tour of the available rooms and try find something that suits you. The one thing to keep in mind is that Suva can be a loud city, and so if you are staying here, or anywhere else in the city, it might be wise to invest in a cheap pair of earplugs at night.||In the lodge, there was WiFi for a bit of time each night, but I found it much easier to by a 50gb vodafone data sim for ~$30AUD (50FJD) as this suited my needs better. They also will do your laundry for a small fee which was quite helpful. ||Overall, booking here made my stay in Fiji immensely better as a solo traveler and I made some amazing friends. I could not recommend it enough to any other medical students, solo travelers, or anyone who just needs to stay a few nights in Suva!
