Colonté Hotel Origen

Absolutely loved our stay at Colonte Hotel Origen. We were able to park right in front of the hotel in their parking lot. The reception area is cute and has a small shop with really nice handmade bags and other things. The boutique hotel is small but they did an amazing job maximizing the space. The staff were very friendly and spoke English. We got a room on the ground floor with private garden. The shower has a door that opens to the garden which was such a unique touch to the room. The air-conditioning worked perfectly. The outdoor patio area does get noisy and you can hear noise like people talking and music in the room during the day, but we were out exploring. At night we slept no problem. We didn't have time to use the pool with our one night stay. Absolutely loved the stay its such a unique design. Would recommend for couples not families.

This hotel was a quiet oasis in Valladolid. We had the deluxe king room which included a small walled garden space opening to both the room and the shower. Pretty nice! We booked this as it was our anniversary, and the staff provided a nice floral arrangement to celebrate this! All the staff were very nice and friendly. They are also able to organize tours or airport transport, however we chose to arrange our own transport.|We booked a private driver through Taxi Personalizado for day trips to a number of cenotes, a day to go to Coba and Tulum and also transport to Cancun airport when departing. We used the collectivo to go to Chichen Itza and the coach bus to get from the train station the town then walk to the hotel with no problem (even late in the evening).|The hotel is close to many good restaurants and a pedestrian-only street (Calz. de Los Frailes) with lots of shops and restaurants, and at the end of this street is a large convent you can visit.|The hotel has a restaurant on site serving good food as well, although the service, particularly at breakfast (included) can be slow so make sure to take this into account when booking pickup times (over an hour for breakfast routinely). Breakfast is served in the garden courtyard. A box lunch is provided if you know you will be leaving too early for breakfast and give them notice a day ahead.|There is a pool in the courtyard, however it is very closely surrounded by the dining tables of the restaurant, so not very conducive to relaxing in.|There is a safe in the room, good A/C, a comfortable bed, and plenty of drinking water provided. The shower (lots of hot water), opening to the walled garden was idyllic! The louvered door to the bathroom doesn't do much to block noise, though.....|Wifi was very variable in strength.|The noise form the dining area was easily heard in the room, but it did quiet down fairly early. During the day there was construction going on at the property next door, but again, it didn't happen at night, and probably won't be happening too much in the future....|We loved staying here and would certainly choose this hotel for any future visits to this area of the Yucatan!

We stayed here and it’s an absolute hidden gem and the landscaping is beautiful! It truly feels like a tropical paradise and the staff is also very helpful and nice. If you have a car this is a great option as they have a parking lot available right across the hotel. It’s very walkable and easily accessible, only thing I felt was the detailing in the room could’ve been better(like there were no hand towels in the bathroom or a place to hang them - which is a small thing but I feel it was a small but essential detail which could’ve been easily been solved. But overall a great place to stay!

Beautiful and very comfortable. We stayed here for one night while in Valladolid. It’s close to the zocalo and the trendy Calle de Los Frailes which is full of restaurants, boutiques and bars. Great for a stroll at night. The room was clean and very well furnished. It didn’t have any windows which was great for sleep. This boutique hotel has about 8 or 10 rooms. It has a pool and a restaurant. We enjoyed the breakfast in the courtyard in the morning before checkout. I highly recommend it for a couple.

We really liked it because it is small, breakfast was super nice and the people are very kind. The value for money is just perfect. One caveat though was that they were building a full building next to the hotel so from 8AM it was super loud but not a big bother for us.

What a beautiful place to stay in Valladolid! Really convenient location near the city center, with dedicated parking spaces. Extremely helpful and friendly staff. Delicious breakfast! Absolutely special stay!

Really nice breakfast lunch and dinner the rooms is really beautiful. I like the view you get from the shower and the nice two kitties that they always play with you. The pool is kind of stinky but overall really really good day hotel

This place is a hidden gem in Valladolid. Perfect location, helpful staff, and a wonderful restaurant. We tried their food for breakfast, lunch, and dinner - honestly one of the best hotel restaurants we’ve been to. Everything was reasonably priced. The rooms are good, a bit dated in some areas but clean.
