I really wanted to love this hotel because it looks fantastic in the photos — modern, stylish, something a bit different. Unfortunately, there were so many issues during our stay that I couldn’t return or recommend it.||To start with the positives: the gentleman who checked us in was outstanding — friendly, welcoming and full of helpful recommendations. The breakfast was also great for a hotel of this size, with a good variety and excellent coffee.||However, our room had a persistent sewage smell from the moment we arrived, which did not improve over our 3-night stay. I later heard another guest raising the same issue and being told that she should simply keep the windows open if it bothered her.||We also discovered that one of the curtains was missing, leaving half the window uncovered. When I reported it to reception, I was met with an incredibly rude and dismissive response. I was told there was nothing to be done, the hotel was full and we would have to manage. Only when I asked about a refund so we could move hotels did the tone suddenly change — a supervisor was clearly contacted, and very quickly a solution appeared. A barman arrived to install a curtain taken from another room. It was the wrong size, but at least allowed us some sleep. I just wish I hadn’t been made to feel as though I was the problem for raising a genuine issue.||Our room was also directly beside the elevator, which meant constant corridor noise. Combined with the uncomfortable beds and pillows, we slept very poorly.||Overall, this hotel has potential — it looks great and breakfast is impressive — but the maintenance issues and poor attitude from some staff completely overshadowed the positives. If you do choose to stay here, I strongly recommend requesting a high floor to reduce road noise and a room well away from the elevators.
