My husband n I arrived for a 4 night stay and honestly I was a bit nervous. However, I wasn't disappointed. We were super early and our room was not ready, still the gentleman let us check in and leave our bags so we could grab lunch. We returned 1 hr prior to the time given and he was kind enough to lead us to our room. Which was really nice with a great view and super clean! Lots of fresh towels and comfortable bed! We were literally 5 min walk to the great Colosseum! I would highly recommend Retrome and would definitely stay here again!

Great location just outside the colloseum which is beautiful at night and day. Retrome is in the gay quarter so there are a few bars to pick from and is lovely, even as a straight couple we loved it. Our room was very comfortable and had a smart TV which was really good after a long day so we could put something on in English. Only place in Italy where we stayed where we could do this. Although we did get into Italian TV! Great location, friendly staff, comfortable room and all amenities.

Hotel staff was knowledgeable and recommended the restaurants to visit and the ones to avoid, which this saved time and money! Their hotel "lobby" was a treat, because it was retro decorated and they offered free espresso while checking-in. The location was perfect because it was close to the Coliseum. The apartment's kitchen had all the necessary supplies (corkscrew and wine glasses, salt, oil). The only negative experience was the hot water was not working, but they were in constant communication with us in trying to fix the problem and it was fixed by the next business day. I would recommend this place.

Rooms were clean and airy - really nice area, it has a great location right around the Colosseum with great restaurants around. Not too keen on paying for check in if not during their hours and some of the staff are friendly - some are not. Otherwise, average but nice place to stay on the budget.

Good location and a good rate on a small, quiet room in this informal hotel. GOOD STUFF: Fast and simple WiFi connection, functional simple appointments. BAD STUFF: Reception staff a bit disorganized. So informal that checking in & out became inefficient!

What a great place. Kind courteous helpful staff. Minutes walk to Colosseum. Safe area. Apartment has secured entry plus two other key entries until you get to your room. Mega safe. Balcony outside room. Private. Private shower (hot and great pressure). We walked from the termini but I recommend a taxi. Stay off bus 64 (pic pockets) don't use the subway. Keep your backpack in front. Use locks. Don't stop for anyone even if they look legit. Once you are here in your safe room carry cash on your bra or boot...sock even. You need cash for Cafe and small vendors. Restaurants use cards with chips or cash. There's a market close by excellent and low priced. We (2 people) spent $35 a day eating and drinking from the market. One meal out in the heart of Rome cost $40 for two. Do not take flowers or stop for people yelling Africa with bracelets. It's a con. The soldiers outside the Colosseum will take pics with you. The want money. If you want to take pics it's 5-10 (I gave them 5 Euro). The pics they take suck so try to get some yourself don't let them take them. Lol Rome is amazing and the locals are awesome. Police are helpful, street musicians talented and it's rich in 4000 year old history and ruins. Highly recommend this hotel apartment and Rome.

Stayed here for 3 nights and got 12+ bed bug bites. The receptionists were unhelpful. Had to go see a doctor as bites were swelling up but received no compensation after complaining. I would highly avoid this hotel.

The stay in Colosseum Garden was a nightmare! We had our baby with us and the heating system was broken (not possible to stop heating), it was necessary to sleep with open windows (!). We received no support or understanding for this abnormal situtation. DONT GO THERE!
