Really cool farmhouse vibe here, super chill and cozy. The specialty drink menu is packed with fun drinks. The Coffee Break and Apple Cinnamon ones were straight-up awesome. The bartenders were legit so nice and knew their stuff. The guy hooked my dog up with a bowl of water and even washed it before which was honestly the sweetest thing ever. It would be better if food was available! Great spot, great drinks, dog-friendly as heck. Will be back for sure!

Fantastic, acclaimed local stillhouse. Tried their cocktail. Nuanced earl grey tea vodka flavor coupled with subtle sweet blueberry and citrusy lemon and fizzy club soda. Great leisurely atmosphere.

Great spot! With a really great atmosphere. The bourbon was my favorite. I am not a really big gin person but I tried theirs i the 3 flight and really liked it. It was smooth and easy to Drink! Jay and Dayna were super awesome! Will definitely be back!

Brilliant! I'm SO happy to have this place so close to home. We went a few weeks ago to try the brewery and didn't know about the distillery. The brewery was packed so we walked over... best choice we made! My husband and I ponied up to the bar and had a few cocktails. Friendly and knowledgeable bartenders and the drinks are impeccably made and so delicious. Looking forward to my next visit! P.s. The names of the drinks are quite creative. Some pop culture references to think about.

The Colts Neck Stillhouse is the home of Muckleyes Spirits and they make some great spirits and have an amazing cocktail program as well. This was my second visit and on my first visit a while back I had an amazing port cask aged rye which sadly the taster bottle behind the bar I tried was the only one left. This time they had no Rye Whiskey at all, and since I'm a Rye guy I had to knock them down a star for not having a favorite. However everything else about the place is great, I had the Whiskey Tango Foxtrot which was expertly made and perfectly delicious. While my dad enjoyed Mischief Maker and my mom enjoyed the Tea Time served with a happy little rubber duck. If you are in the area and enjoy a well crafted spirit or cocktail this place is a must visit.

Great brews, great indoor n upstairs outdoor seating, good vibes. The only negative is the stench coming out from the sewage water right next to the outdoor seating you the grass. Should take care of that.

About one year ago, on a chilly rainy lousy day... We missed our turn and instead happened to stumble upon an interesting blue building with the word "Muckleyeye" written whimsically across the front with "Stillhouse" included. My interest was piqued. Going in, we were warmly greeted with smiles and a staff eager to please. We tried a sampling of spirits, artisanally created on site. Bourbon, Rye, Vodka, American Gin, and East Coast Rum. Each sip was more impressive than the last. And to this day, the ONLY rum, gin, and vodka I not only can drink at room temperature straight, but enjoy to do so as well. But it gets better. To display the depth and dynamic flavors of the spirits, the staff artfully created inspired and delicious cocktails. We were hooked. We've been back countless times, with many friends in tow. Each time we are greeted just as warmly as the first. The cocktails change seasonally, and have become something we look forward to exploring regularly. Rightfully so, Colt's Neck Stillhouse has become quite the popular spot. Their spirits are distributed and accessable from our local liquor stores, but we still go every opportunity we have. The skill and personalities of the staff are second to none. The cocktails are always amazing. The atmosphere is inviting. You can't go wrong going here. For the naysayers who've left negative feedback... It's important to know what CNS offers. They are NOT a "bar" in the traditional sense. They are not open until 2am with sports on every wall. They are a craft, small batch distillery creating amazing spirits, and showcasing their spirits through artfully inspired cocktails. They are brand ambassadors of the highest caliber. Down to earth, fun, adventurous, and knowledgeable of their products. Myself, my family, and my friends are hooked, and we'll be patrons for MANY years to come.

Great small distillery right in the hear of Colts Neck. The bar is small, but there's also an outdoor area that is nice when the weather is good. Drinks are great but no food, don't go hungry... Perfect spot to met a friend or two for a couple drinks to catch up. PS- They have a cigar night periodically where they have a vendor roll cigars on site and bundle with drinks.

So to start there's no parking. I don't get it because there were like 6 people inside. So we grab seats at the bar, great. The guy with the beard didn't even greet us but kind of threw menus our way. The cocktail menu was limited but what we settled on was underwhelming and overpriced. Mostly ice and cranberry juice super disappointing. We felt pretty out of place because the bearded guy seemed to be annoyed that we were there. If you don't want a customer facing job where you have to talk to people, maybe this isn't the right place for him. Honestly, we just felt uncomfortable so we chugged our drinks and got the heck out of there. Never again.

No food but some of the freshest and most creative cocktails you will find in the area. Limited cocktail menu but the specials they list do not disappoint. The bartenders are truly skilled and talented in their craft. They make you feel welcome and looking forward to deciding what to try next. This place is awesome! Clearly I'm sleeping on Colts Neck because for 2 years I worked out at a weightlifting gym 1/4 mile away from Delicious Orchards and had no idea that Delicious Orchards even existed. Last fall I went to Delicious Orchards for the first time and somehow didn't notice the Stillhouse. I've said it before but I really need to wear my glasses more often. On to the Stillhouse. The back patio is great. On a summer Friday evening it wasn't too busy and easy to snag a table. Keith (Beef if you're nasty) was friendly and made everyone feel at home. I started with the Jam, Honey and was truly undone at the jelly on the spoon. I also had the Pushin P and the Drink Peace. I really liked this one because sometimes cucumber basil drinks tastes really predictable but this one held a little something back in a good way. I appreciated the restraint. Now the real star of the show was the barrel aged gin with elderflower and honey. Gin and tonic was my "getting ready to go out" drink lmao when I was younger and I've rediscovered them in middle age nostalgia. So lately I've been collecting gin. I've never even seen a dark gin! This thing was so delicious I enjoyed 2 pours then bought a bottle. Apparently they have food trucks and pop ups on site. Chik Fil A was there last night - during Pride month no less. Yikes. Never forget. Anyway I got Wendy's instead.

This is one of the best experiences I've had at a stillhouse. You must wait outside until someone comes out and greets you. They explain all the types of liquor they make and how everything is fresh and home grown for the drinks. It is 21+ so not kids are running around plus it is dog friendly. My boyfriend and I ordered the Hawaiian name and the lemonade. Both were pretty strong but still had a hint of sweetness to it. Also can we talk about the presentation of Hawaiian name. Super pretty. Will definitely be returning here with my dog next time.

Love this distillery and their unique and creative cocktails - I mean, where else can you get a drink with brie cheese gin or eucalyptus vodka? The brie cheese gin definitely surprised me - you can't taste the cheese at all but there's a slight hint of creaminess in the drink. I also enjoyed the mintiness and refreshing flavors of the eucalyptus vodka cocktail - perfect for a warm sunny day. I've noticed that this spot can get super busy, but we had no wait on a Sunday late afternoon. They also had two special cocktails on the menu for Sundays only, which makes it even more tempting to visit again on a Sunday!

I love this distillery! Probably one of my favorites. The interior is really creative and cute to look at! They have creative drinks that taste good. They have an outdoor section with heating. Only downside is no food.

This is by far one of the best distilleries I have been to and I've been to several recently. This is the new hip thing right now. Locally distilled, and locally brewed custom cocktails and drinks. The Stillhouse is located right next door to Delicious Orchards, and directly behind is The Source Farmhouse Brewery. Once we parked I had to line up outside for a few minutes and then we were greeted by a hostess. They will proof anyone they think is underage and will ask you for ID. I received a wrist band, and I was immediately walked inside and seated at the bar with my boyfriend. All of the staff and bartenders are very friendly. My bartender Jay made really great cocktails. Everyone I tried was delicious and really balanced. The MUCKLEYEYE SPIRITS are really good. My favorite cocktail is the STRAIGHT JACKET COCKTAIL - Gin, pomegranate, lemon, cranberry bitters. My second favorite is the -BLACK BETTY COCKTAIL-Gin, spiced blackberry shrub aka rosemary and lemon. The presentation of this drink is great. My drink was topped with rosemary sprig and then lit on fire, and then it goes out. The drink is really balanced and if you love blackberries you'll really like this drink. My boyfriend really enjoyed his drinks. He chose the SIDE PIECE- Bourbon, citrus curaçao, lemon, simple syrup. BY ORDER OF THE PEACHY BLINDERS- Bourbon, peach cordial, walnut bitters, apple pie jam. This is not a big place, but the drinks are made well. We took home the Muckleyeye Vodka, and Muckleyeye Bourbon. The bar is circular with large glass windows to let in natural light. There's parking up front and in the back more parking. This is a fun place to come and spend a few hours

Oh how I love this place! Cocktails are seasonal and that alone is a reason to come back. Fun and creative the cocktails are home made down to the shrubs. Overall comfortable for a group of friends or a nice date.

This place used to be AMAZING! The drinks tasted great and were a good price. Now, they cost more and have no taste. Drinks that used to be my favorite I just can't even drink anymore. I'm trying to like them, but I seriously just can't.... I'm very sad about it too. This was one of my favorite go-to places and now I don't think I will be returning anytime soon. Sad....

Not affiliated with the source brewhouse behind it, but it's nice to have both options for liquor and beer! Small place to accommodate for social distancing but thankfully their outdoor seating area provides enough tables and chairs, I think there's a total of three separate sections. A few of their drinks incorporate peppers, so be sure to be aware in case you don't like that. I usually don't, but it wasn't super overpowering. We liked the vodka drinks, bourbon was strong, but we usually aren't bourbon people, but still good nonetheless! The vibe was very chill and comfortable!

I see what they're going for and it's great but the execution needs help. The staff should be trained before they're scheduled for a weekend shift... let's start there. The bartenders are so young and so green that they appear to freeze under pressure. When you're paying over $15 per drink and waiting over 30 minutes to get acknowledged that's not really cutting it. We got seats at the bar maybe 20 minutes before we decided to flag down the bartender. Ended up not even getting what we ordered and tried to start a tab but we were charged right away because the bartender accidentally closed it. It was his second day, but is that the smartest scheduling to put him on shift on a Saturday in the fall? Seems like someone had a vision without any restaurant/bar experience and was too cheap to hire a manager.

Love finding great distillery near home! Great options to drink and bring in your own food. Very chilled environment, felt like an adult. Loved all drinks and the bartenders are awesome. Definitely a great place to celebrate special occasions. Can't wait to go again. :)

Welcome to the neighborhood Colts Neck StillHouse! What a great addition to Route 34. We had a couple of great cocktails today and really enjoy a great vibe h going at the bar. I can't wait for the warm weather to kick in and this place is really gonna rock! Right now they have food trucks scheduled and nothing in-house. The owner does the tours and those usually start around 4pm. We'll have to come back for that! I tried a gin and vodka cocktail and they were both delish. Dayna at the bar was very personable and made us feel at home. We will definitely be back.

Short take: warm staff, creative cocktails, and a great time overall. Long take: came here for the first time. I'm always a little nervous coming to distilleries/breweries/wineries/etc. for the first time because I'm not that knowledgeable about alcohol, but I like to get an occasional drink. That nervousness was immediately dispelled by, who I presume to be, the friendly owner. Before entering, everyone must have their IDs checked. The owner asked us if it was our first time, if we like booze, provided a quick synopsis of what they offer, and whether we'd like to be seated at the bar or at the tables. We choose the tables where there were fairy lights and one of those instagramable vine walls. The bar is also really nice, but has a more mature vibe (lol). The owner occasionally came around to check up on all of the guests. We ordered 4 drinks: Bing-Bong, Lemon Actually, Preston's Fedora, and Tia Widdit. Out of the 4, we liked Lemon Actually and Preston's Fedora the best. Will definitely be coming back!

Super friendly folks, creative cocktails, and a relaxed atmosphere. I especially enjoy their bourbon drinks - the side piece and the stillhouse. My friends and I usually visit both the stillhouse and the brewery and it's always a great time. There has been a food truck on most of my visits. Absolutely worth a trip, especially on a nice day.

I absolutely love this place! It's become my girlfriends and mine favorite hang out spot. We either see what food trucks are coming that day or get take out to bring. Every season they come out with a new menu which I ALWAYS look forward to trying it all! There are a few staple drinks though for the less adventurous. The bartenders are amazing. You feel very at home. They outdoor areas are so cute with firepits. The indoor area by the bar is small but there is a big side room. Highly recommend not only is it one of the only distilleries in the area BUT the people and drinks are perfect. There's something for everyone

Came here tonight (Saturday) at 9:22 and was greeted at the door by the "bouncer" who said "Sorry we're done for the night" They close at 10 according to their website wouldn't let us in for a drink. BUH BYE! And we always buy their products no longer will we purchase Muckleye

Best place to grab a cocktail! You can spend a nice afternoon in a 3 block area with the StillHouse, brewery, and delicious orchards down the road (not affiliated with each other) The drinks here are amazing and change seasonally. The bartenders are excellent and more than happy to converse with you at the bar. They do have 2 TVs which are usually playing movies. The front has an outdoor porch on each side and the back has a nice sitting area. There are food trucks in the parking lot sometimes or they do have a menu from a local pizza place that will deliver. Cocktails are creative, delicious , and reasonable priced. They do get busy during Fall so there may be a wait. Be kind to the door man, Beef!!! =) He's a great dude.

I was there for a friend's 30th birthday. Try their spicy Bloody Mary! You won't be disappointed. A little pricey for the area but I understand re: inflation. This place is awesome! They have a large and impressive selection of drinks with all their own liquors. I tried some of my friends' and honestly there wasn't one I didn't like. I went on a Saturday afternoon and it wasn't too crowded. About 6 of us were able to sit by the bar. It's a nice casual place to enjoy the company of your friends while sipping on some well made drinks!

This place has amazing craft cocktails in an amazing setting. It was so crowded when we got there, that it was valet only (free) but the service didnt suffer at all. My husband and I both had a drink within 15 minutes and they were both so tasty. If you dont like to drink on an empty stomach, they frequently have food trucks in (we had the flying pie guy). They are kid and dog friendly, too. Pro tip: the building close to the road sells booze, the barn building behind it is beer only. I knocked off half a star because I personally thought the music (at least outside) could've been quieter and another 1/2 star because at the price point of these drinks I would've liked mine to be a bit stronger.

COLTS NECK: Brie was there for the grand opening of NJ's newest distillery: Colts Neck StillHouse! Dogs are allowed at the back outdoor patio where there are two fire pit tables! Nothing like a bourbon and fire pit to keep you warm this winter! They have a large cocktail list and you can also drink their homemade liquors neat. We had the Pickle Rick and Thornton Melon. Next time we want to try the BBC, which is a "butter beer variation" for all you Harry Potter fans! We recommend going with two people, so one person can go inside to order and the other hangs outside with the pups.

The staff was really rad and the drinks were tasty. I had the Pickle Rick and was told I had to eat the cucumber. They weren't wrong, it had lots of alcohol absorbed in it. I also tried the Lunch Lady being that I love Bloody Mary's. This had a different taste to it as they used roasted tomato juice! Lastly, I ordered the Lemon Actually. Which could be dangerous being that it went down too smooth! There is also a brewery right next door, however, we weren't able to hop in at the time.

Ok, so we looked for this place with this name, it didn't exist. It's called Muckley Eye Distillery, same location. Fantastic place! Indoor and outdoor seating, brewery across the parking lot and Delicious Orchards next door. Can't get any better than that for locations. The cocktails were delicious, bartenders were fun and the environment was friendly. You will have fun here. They have a very tasty single malt whiskey we had to buy a bottle of. We tried various different cocktails so I can't remember them all, but, they were good!!

This is a cool place. I love the vibe more than anything else. They have lots of outdoor seating. As it's getting cooler they have heaters and you can light a fire at the table to stay warm. Drinks are really cool. Drinks are NYC prices to be honest but they are assembled in a really cool way.

Took a slight detour on the way back from a family trip to try this place. Great first impression as it looks like someone dumped a lot of money into this place. Seems Corporate owned instead of master distiller owned as you can smell the money without the heart of distilling a good spirit. Sure the bartenders were busy but had a few seconds to explain the set up. No Tours because of Covid19. Basic samples had to be tasted out on the patio. The reason I'm knocking off a couple of stars because was almost run over by a Pizza Delivery guy coming in. With the space they have a small appetizer kitchen could be set up for wings or pretzels. All bottles sold are the same size sold at average distillery high prices. I would personally like to see smaller flask bottle size options because it would keep me coming back more often to try different spirits then buy the large bottle of ones I would enjoy instead of buying a full size bottle that sits on the shelf. Now my opinion of the spirits: White Rum - taste like moonshine, just burns going down no distinct flavor. Maybe that's why I saw so much juice added the the drinks at people hanging out on the patios. Rye Whisky - Same as the Rum burned going down but at least with a distinct Rye Taste. Definitely needs a cube of ice to tone it down. I would say try some Proper Twelve Irish Whisky. Then compare with this. For me this tasted like it was aged in a corporate metal tank instead of an oak barrel because all I got was the taste of the ingredients and not a nutty oaky smooth flavor from a barrel.

A great bar with beautiful outdoor seating area. I came in just before the pandemic hit. The staff was super friendly and great at offering suggestions for what to drink and local food deliveries. The outdoor patio area is really lovely on a nice, warm evening. Definitely the best time to go. I felt like the serving sizes were on the smaller side but I also might be used to my gigantic pours at home.

Being local, I've been to CN Stillhouse plenty of times & have really enjoyed it! The Muckleyeye spirits they make there are very good, especially when mixed in the unique craft cocktails accented with varied, fresh shrubs (ingredients) they source locally (mainly from Delicious Orchards 2 doors away). I myself prefer the Port Cask Finished Straight Bourbon Whiskey straight up over ice! Kind of neat, that they serve all of their spirits straight up or serve them with a large hand-cut ice cube which appropriately chills the spirit while not watering it down too quickly which can happen with crushed ice or even regular cubes. Colts Neck Stillhouse is not necessarily for large groups (especially if you go at popular times), or for families with small children. Both are welcome there, but better during off hours. But, if you are looking to taste some locally crafted Delicious spirits with 1 - 4 or 5 other friends, then Colts Neck Stillhouse is a MUST TRY!!

Great place - they always have fun innovative drinks, cocktails are never masked by too much juice or additives. Menu variety has something for everyone. Reasonably priced for craft cocktails. Have been here multiple times and keep coming back. Love sitting outside and enjoying the different food trucks that they have here!

Ordered their hand sanitizer during this terrible time in America . Besides being grossly overpriced the stuff is like water!! Liquidy liquidy not consistence of sanitizer at all ! Should have said can only use in a spray bottle in the description . So not worth it! Very disappointed after spending $80 .

The place was pretty cool, the building and bar are really nice. Unfortunately, we were less than happy with the staff. I kept trying to talk with the two bartenders about the distillery and the background of the place, etc.. they had no interest in conversation or selling the place at all. We were almost the only people there and they definitely had very little to do, but still did not have time or interest to talk with us. There were 2 big screen TVs in front of us. One was playing an uncut Jackass movie where we were watching full frontal Male nudity, and a guy in a full port a potty slinging around on a bungee cord getting covered with human excrement, and stuff like that. The other was showing, I think "21 & over" which featured more full frontal Male nudity etc. I'm no prude, but these were totally inappropriate for any business, especially at 3:00 in the afternoon. I don't know who is managing this place, but they need to come up with a better plan. For at least 20 minutes after the remaining customers left, the same 2 bartenders sat on the bar top playing on their phones, completely ignoring us. We will not be back if they don't figure out how to run a business.

The StillHouse never disappoints! Cocktails are all so unique and delicious and even when I think I might not like it, they always impress me. Staff is excellent! They always take great care of us and make us feel at home.

I didn't really like hard liquor before we found this place, but they've changed my mind. Haven't had a bad drink yet, and I can't wait to go back soon to try some of this year's fall menu.

They make the best cocktails. Super creative. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. My only complain is that they are bot located closer to where I live.

This place is the ideal distillery to come get a drink during a pandemic. The whole staff is masked, and friendly, and we frequently watched the staff wipe down any shared surfaces. We enjoyed every cocktail we ordered and can't wait to come back when it's a little warmer to sit outside in the sun!

I visited this place on Thursday evening with two friends. We arrived around 8:20pm, and the place was next to empty. The ambiance was nice - even if the bar was a bit chilly due the draft from the entrance doors that are very close to the bar. We all started off with three-pour flights. I ordered vodka, gin, and rum. From the get-go, I always question a place that believes it can do all three (as well as others) well. As it turns out... they can't. The vodka was very smooth, but the taste was average. The gin smelled like a Christmas tree, but it was definitely decent. The rum was below average, but not terrible. (Disclaimer: I have lived in Miami and Cuba. The rum selections in these locations are on another level.) If I was just reviewing the drinks and/or ambiance, I probably would have added another star to this review. Without question, it was the staff that caused this two-star review. One of my friends asked about changing one of the channels of their televisions. He prefaced his question with, "I understand if you can't do it, but could you put on the NFL game?" A simple no would have sufficed. Instead, she instantly became indignant. She asked, "What kind of place do you think this is?" (She certainly was not laughing or smiling as she said it, which likely would have made her response more palatable.) The statement of, "We serve $15 cocktails here," followed shortly after in her further attempts to justify her response - which we were clearly prepared for based on the way my friend began his request. (I think that she was unaware that NFL games are really expensive to attend.) The fact of the matter is that she was offered several opportunities to simply say no, but she continued to argue her point in ways that were seemingly aimed only at putting us down for the request that one of us had made. Another bartender soon came over, and the somewhat belligerent young woman that had been talking down to us climbed the spiral staircase behind the bar that I can only assume led to the ivory tower where she resides.

Giving you 1 star as an owner for your rude response to my review. I was just trying to help you out as a newer establishment. I don't have to own or work at a bar to have an opinion. In fact, my wife and I are very successful individuals that live in this town. Best of luck!
