Columbia Beach Resort (an SLH Hotel)

Columbia Beach Resort might be the most luxurious hotel in Cyprus - and I’ve stayed in quite a few across the island. This is what a true 5-star experience should feel like. It starts with the location: set on what is, in my opinion, the most beautiful beach in Cyprus - clean, tranquil, and wonderfully secluded. The entire area around the hotel is impeccably maintained, and you can truly feel that people are working around the clock to ensure guests’ comfort. The service deserves special recognition. Every single person - receptionists, waiters, chefs, housekeeping - was exceptional. If I could give 10 stars, I would. We received a room upgrade, a late checkout, and throughout our stay the staff were always there exactly when needed, making us feel genuinely cared for and at home. The breakfast was excellent, the spa very pleasant, and I loved the fact that the hotel offers up to five daily classes, including yoga, Pilates, and other group workouts. The hotel is not ultra-modern or newly built, but that is precisely its charm. It has soul - it is beautifully maintained, spotless, fragrant, and elegant. Small details truly elevate the experience, such as Molton Brown toiletries in the rooms (a personal favorite of mine), etc. This is a place that truly understands how to create a feeling of luxury in a refined, timeless, “old money” way. A hotel I genuinely want - and plan - to return to. Thank you for having me.

Very big resort and takes time to navigate. Very good location. Seems to be very family orientated with kids clubs and activities so had a lot of children. Maria at reception was outstanding and made sure we had everything for our minimoon. We had an ant problem and a noisy pool. They resolved this withing 30mins of reporting. We did not eat there other than breakfast which was buffet and had a very extensive selection. The chia pudding was one outstanding item along with a very large selection of cold meats and cheese. Décor is excellent with amazing inlayed marble and tiled floor. This makes this a luxury resort. We were given a complimentary welcome prosecco on arrival. There are golf carts to ferry you and your luggage to the room. We will definitely return.

The best place to spend your vacation in Cyprus. A fantastic hotel with excellent infrastructure. The staff deserves special mention: their professionalism, smiles, and genuine hospitality. You can ask about tours, the surrounding area, and anything else you desire. The breakfasts are phenomenal, and the a la carte restaurants are excellent. The location (right by the sea) is also worth mentioning. The room is comfortable, and communication with the reception is quick. I recommend it 11/10.

Best hotel in the Limassol area. The location at Pissouri Bay is amazing and the whole place has a special feel. We thank Mr Scheller for creating this resort because we really enjoy the magic here. Food is better now than before and the tavern has improved a lot. It is not cheap but you can treat yourself once or twice a year. Only thing to fix is the very loud group bookings from a specific country .Some groups do not respect the place and can ruin the experience, so the management should avoid this in the future. Overall a top resort and one of the best stays in Cyprus. Dont stay to the hotel . Ask for the resort rooms.

We had a rocky beginning to our stay at Pissouri. We had come with the intention of doing two intensive days of cycling from 5am. Unfortunately there was a bit of a mess up with the bikes which resulted in us not being able to get what we needed on the first day. The Hotel’s response to this was truly exceptional, offering to bend themselves backwards to get alternative bikes from Paphos and Limassol. Monica, the general manager wanted to meet and was exceptionally empathetic and really understood what had happened. As a result of Monica’s exceptional customer service; we ended up squashing the frustration of the first day and had an exceptional time. Monica is an asset to Columbia Beach Resort. The grounds are stunning, as well as the beach which has activities including water sports and jet ski’s. Fruit trees with large fruits line the grounds. Breakfast is delicious, with enough authentic Cypriot food to please all. The Greek coffee is great too. Good variety of wines and cocktails to please all palettes; a striking Daquiri or Aperol heavy spritz in the swimming pool bar helps with a sun filled afternoon. The gym facility is nice. Luckily it wasn’t hugely busy for us so still had some privacy on the lovely lawn area, which gives the ambience of an adults only resort. Thank you Monica for enabling us to have a great stay.

As someone who advises luxury brands on customer experience, process optimisation, and brand-aligned service delivery, I approached Columbia Beach Resort not simply as a guest, but as an observer of how well a historic brand translates its values into the modern luxury standard. What I found was a property with undeniable potential and a spectacular setting — yet an experience that demonstrated a widening gap between brand promise and daily execution. A First Impression of Promise — and a View That Never Arrived Pissouri Bay is one of Cyprus’ most beautiful coastal enclaves, framed by cliffs and turquoise water. From the moment of arrival, the resort presents itself well: an elegant pool overlooking the bay, manicured stone pathways, and architecture that blends Mediterranean warmth with Cypriot heritage. However, luxury is not measured only by first impressions — it is measured by follow-through. Despite being promised a sea-view suite, the view was obstructed almost entirely by tall trees and foliage. While such details may seem minor, they reflect a larger issue: luxury relies on accuracy and transparency in pre-arrival communications. When guests feel misled, even unintentionally, trust erodes quickly. The suite itself was spacious, and the pool view was pleasant, but the experience changed profoundly the following morning: a construction site was operating directly beneath the room. Drilling, hammering, and structural work made rest impossible. When I enquired, I was informed it was a “water leak” that would be resolved by 4pm. The next day, heavy construction resumed earlier than before — and it was evident from the exposed materials and the extent of the work that this was not a short-term repair, but a deeper structural issue, likely related to long-term moisture and mould. In luxury hospitality, noise transparency is a non-negotiable standard. Guests should never discover construction by waking up to it.

Beautiful resort! ❤️ Stayed in one of the villa rooms/apartments. Absolutely beautiful in and out. So spacious, bed was huge, as was the bathroom, which had a bath, shower and bidet. The room had a little kitchen area which included an electric hob. So many on site restaurants. We had breakfast included and were not disappointed...so much choice (catering for all tastes). Quality was 👌🏾as was the customer service throughout the resort. Has an indoor and multiple outdoor pool spaces. A Spa and shop. Very close to the beach too. I mean there is nothing not to like. A 5* venue for sure. I will defo come back and stay here again, I loved it that much. ❤️ 🤗 😍 Top tier.
